Thanks for all of your support and patience. Online beta lasted about 4 months longer than we first thought it would, but here we are now, with an online multiplayer mode that actually works and no known desynch issues. Hooray!
Of course there are always a few things left to improve and fix, but it's well worth the effort for excellent players like yourselves.
Full patch notes:
* Online mode is now out of Beta!
* Dialogue cursors online are in the correct position.
* Initial dialogue is now shown online too.
* Druid totem shows correctly when dying as a dog.
* The sky in adventure maps looks much better now.
* Buttons in the Constellation Sky are now clickable.
* World Map locations are now clickable.
* The Gilgamesh encounter no longer sometimes cuts off your mountain path.
* Constellations should no longer appear to unlock multiple times.
* Character classes, costumes, and speaking with animals or ghosts should no longer appear to unlock multiple times.
We have some exciting news coming in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!

New patch today (1.0.2547) - keybindings + new enemy!
First, a warm greeting to all of our new players who just picked up the game in last week's sale, or who heard about our launch on PlayStation 4. Welcome welcome! We hope you enjoy it here in Issaria.
Today's patch has been long in coming, much longer than we had hoped, but keybindings are one of the trickiest things in a 1-4 player game with various supported control schemes. And now keybindings finally work properly! There were multiple cascading issues with whether to store the keybinds per controller or per profile or per player slot (and in local co-op vs online). But those seem mostly cleaned up now, so we can focus on smaller, more satisfying bugfixes. Thank you for your patience!
Today's patch also introduces a new enemy, the Quarrier Queen! She's a tougher beetle in the desert, apt to shoot three sun orbs.
There's also lots more villagers talking trash about (OK fine they mostly adore) your past heroes, in their hometowns during future playthroughs.
Thank you for being the best fans,
Tanya & the Kitfox team
Moon Hunters Launches on PS4!
To celebrate Moon Hunters successfully making it to the PlayStation Network store in North America yesterday, we're putting it on sale on Steam this week for -35%! That puts it under $10 USD for the first time!
We'll also be patching in the next week with revamped keybindings, more online fixes, and villagers talking more about past heroes.
So pick it up now while it's hot (buy a copy for a friend to play online with!), and support further development in the months to come.
By the power of the Moon,

Cheers,
Tanya & the Kitfox team
P.S.
Another patch of fixes is in the works! Next week, we hope!
Online play improved & a new familiar!
With dialogue, shop, and interface issues 99.999% solved in patch 1.0.2482, we're very very close to removing that "beta" tag from online mode. Unfortunately, we had to hold back Online keybinding until Henk has finished restructuring the way controllers and character login works, which we're hoping to happen very soon.
By way of apology, we've added the Mulberry Toad familiar!
Here's the full patch notes:
* (Online) Several fixes for getting stuck in dialogues or upgrade shop, especially in limited/slow network conditions.
* Songweavers should check the Mangroves for a new loyal friend - the Mulberry Toad familiar.
* Fixed an issue with the Witch’s stab attack on non-default costumes.
* Sun cult enemies are now affected by the Druid’s vines.
* Hometown selection is now a proper vote.
* Lots of optimizations! The game should run more smoothly on most machines.
* The Rat is now the Fox constellation, for you Cunning heroes out there. Old legends might still call you The Rat though, if they were generated before this patch.
* Translation into all 6 non-English languages, for the post-launch encounters and other text.
* Better fade-out and fade-in transitions between scenes.
* More and better sound-effects for various enemies, including Mardokh.
Thank you!
Tanya & the Kitfox crew

INDIEBOX! +New encounters, visitors, and PS4 launch date!
EDIT: We're the June IndieBox! Check it out to pick up unique collector's edition goodies (details to be announced).
Plus, patch 1.0.2382 went live today. It includes some cutscene changes, and a handful of new encounters (some of which still need translation, sorry, please be patient -- hopefully we can patch the translations in soon)... including Gilgamesh and Utnapishtim, from the Epic of Gilgamesh. Henk also implemented some interesting improvements to the Ritualist, who was feeling a bit stale.
We've also announced through the PlayStation blog that Moon Hunters is coming to PlayStation 4 on July 12th! So we might have smaller patches for a little while as we focus on that, though obviously we are still hoping to bring the Online out of beta as soon as possible.
Finally, Kitfox turns 3 years old today! Three years ago, we came together and decided to make interesting worlds that are different every time... first we made Shattered Planet, then Moon Hunters, and.. thank you for making that possible.
And for you detail-orienteds, here's the full patch notes!
June 1 - 1.0.2382
* Revised the opening cutscene at the game’s start, to more accurately reflect the game’s content and themes.
* French language: All cutscenes feature new French voice!
* Six new encounters can be found in the wild, with one new cave and three all-new characters, including wrestling with Gilgamesh himself.
* Your camp can be visited by six more characters as a follow-up to encounters -- including finally using that old Anzu feather.
* Three new camp activity random encounters have been added (one each to Hunting, Keeping Watch, Stargazing).
* The cost of tier 2 and 3 upgrades has been reduced from 100 / 200 to 75 / 150.
* The Ritualist’s accumulates dark orbs while you aren’t shooting, letting you fire off a whole volley of orbs quickly! When out of orbs, her firing rate reduces significantly.
* The Ritualist has a new upgrade, Dark Reservoir, which increase the number of orbs that can be held.
* Ingredient pickups no longer drop if they’ve already been unlocked.
* The environment music resumes after boss music ends.
* Fixed an issue where visual damage effects from fire weren’t appearing in the right place.
* (Online) Players should no longer get moved from their positions when entering / leaving caves.
* (Online) Enemy attacks from the boar and vulture are applied more consistently.
* (Online) Fixed an issue where one of Humbaba’s attacks wasn’t being applied for remote players.
* (Online) Kills / deaths are attributed to the right players.
* (Online) The spirit guardian’s bomb attack applies properly to remote players.
* (Online) The Witch’s Blood Charge skill properly shows its visual effect online.
* (Online) Fixed an issue where ingredients picked up during a playthrough wouldn’t show as unlocked for remote players.
And in the 10 short days since the last patch, we've fixed a whole host of issues, especially online. Here's the major changes (not counting little things like typos, etc):
* (Online) IP entering has been replaced with a 4-number Lobby code.
* (Online) Occasional failure to close the shop panel doesn’t happen anymore.
* (Online) Even less disconnects than before.
* (Online) Fixed an issue where some enemies would only be present on the client.
* (Online) Fixed an issue where some projectiles (such as the tornado) would last forever in camp.
* (Online) Loading screen doesn’t get players stuck anymore.
* (Online) Arenas no longer occasionally double up the enemies.
* (Online) End-of-game character myths and constellations match on all clients.
* (Online) Fixed a couple of cases where dialogues could be accidentally skipped without voting, leaving the other players behind.
* (Online) Fixed an issue where player could be revived while alive, causing visual glitches the next time they died.
* Made it clearer when players are stunned by enemy attacks.
* Boars have more aggressive behaviour!
* Charging enemies can no longer be stunned while charging.
* Saved games more reliably generate the same adventure map on successive loads.
* Of interest to those who can speak with spirits, the “Blade of Chance” encounter location(s) has been revealed on the world map. You can also now talk with the Blade of Chance, after restoring her regalia.
* Mardokh will no longer sometimes spawn twice.
* In 4-player games, some players will never be kicked out of the final battle with Mardokh.
* Fixed an issue that let players cook multiple times in camp.
* Some players who could not redeem their Black Cat or Phoenix familiars can now do so.
I've been writing a few new encounters, but we're waiting on a few elements before they can go live.. plus we're still prioritizing getting Online out of beta.
If you want to tell us what you think we should add or fix next, chime in on the forums! We'd love to hear more discussion of ideas.
Let's keep hunting the moon!

Today's Patch Improves the Spellblade, Sun Cultist, and Online Play!
We went to PAX, which disrupted our schedules a bit, but was really fun. Thanks to everyone who came by the booth. You can see a few pictures on our Facebook page here!
We also just posted up 1.0.2232, which includes:
A boost to Spellblades: a heavier 1-2-3 combo attack, with the third attack always creating a tornado
A boost to Sun Cultists: better knockback on the chakram swipe, and easier-to-use meteor.
The Phoenix familiar, for fans who purchased it online during PAX, or came by the PAX booth.
Various online fixes (opals, health bars, breakables, bugs, etc)
The Shieldo enemy is much more fun to fight now, with improved behaviour and a vulnerable state.
We apologize for those of you who have been waiting eagerly for this patch. We intend to continue patching on our biweekly schedule (meaning we hope to patch again next week).
Thanks for your support!
Tanya & the Kitfox team
No more port forwarding! Play online easily!
At long last, Marcelo has implemented a whole new system and you no longer have to do any port forwarding shenanigans to play Moon Hunters online. Whether you enter the IP manually or Steam Invite people, if you are both choosing the same server region you should be able to "just play", which is what we always wanted.
So play Moon Hunters online! Please! :)
We're still shy about removing the beta tag because we know there are a few bugs, but hopefully the next patch can rip it off... and add a few new shiny things to enjoy!
