To celebrate Christmas with you, we've created a new map: Ice Lands.
We love winter, we love snow!
We live in Italy, in Florence precisely and it hardly ever snows here 😞
In this map, you'll find little food, so it could be a good idea to switch to carnivore organisms.
If you are a small organism, you can escape from the predators through the many narrow paths ... but be careful, you may find a bad surprise.
We like to play on this map.
If you live in a place without snow like us, we would like you to feel the Christmassy kiss of the snow while you are playing on this map 🙂
If you find some bugs in Ice Lands, please let us know, so we can fix them.
See you again for Christmas, bye bye guys!
Suggestions for the new maps!
Hello guys!
We want to talk with you all about your wishes for new possible maps.
We have our ideas, but we would like to listen to yours!
How would you like the new maps to be?
Update to version 1.003
Hello, friends!
Some of you've requested a better placement system of the cells in the DNA mode, so we've worked for that!
- Now there are two new kinds of grids for cell placement.
They are both hexagonal, but they have a different orientation.
The hexagonal structure will allow you to create a more compact organism than before.
You can change the grid using the buttons on the right side of the DNA mode.
- To allow a more precise rotation of the cells in the DNA mode, now the linked rotation is by 15° instead of the 45°, as it was before.
This way, you can still reach important angles like 45°, 90°, 180°, and 270°.
- You've pointed to us that the Simple cell is almost useless in comparison to the fat cells, so we've balanced these two kinds of cells to enhance the Simple cell.
As always we ask you to point out the issues of the game and to suggest new ideas.
If you enjoy the game, please support us writing a review on the Steam store page, thanks a lot :)
Update to version 1.002 (New contents)
Hello guys!
We've created 10 new organisms to put in your single player or multiplayer matches!
Some of these "new entries" are easy to kill/eat because some of you told us the game is too hard at the beginning of the match.
Try to hunt organisms as Indifesus fragilis, Bollae dispieganti, Pacificae erboranti and Triangula innocuus to get an easy prey.
Probably the most dangerous organism of this update is the Alianti Spinosae, but if you are fast, you'll have no trouble with it.
Now 3 short notes:
- The aim of this game is to relax the player and entertain him/her for a little time every day.
This is not a AAA game, but it has its advantages ... it is simply DIFFERENT from the other games.
- If the game is too hard at the beginning, you can lower the values in the pre-match window and deselect some organisms you consider too strong.
You can control these parameters at every loading!
- If you see an organism who disappears or its weapons disappear, it ISN'T a bug, but it simply has some cells that make it disappear completely or partially; you can do the same!
If you note some unbalanced organisms/cells/features, please tell us, so we can try to balance it
See you at the next update!
Update to version 1.001
Hello, our friends!
Some people told us the game has some issues with the movements of the organisms.
We suggest to watch some online reviews or to follow our Tutorial because that feature isn't an issue, but simply some people don't understand how it functions.
Here is the news:
- Gameplay improved: now the water temperature has a different algorithm for its change, especially near the Glaciation time.
- Gameplay improved: the currents have a different kind of interaction with organisms, so it should be more "realistic".
- Gameplay improved: we increased the "explosion" effect when your organism spawns on the map, so there should be less possibility to be stuck in another organism.
- Bug solved: the Glaciation could interact with your organism in DNA mode.
- Bug solved: a texture had some rendering issues.
- Bug solved: fixed a small annoying loop sound in a soundtrack in The King of the Puddle.
If you don't understand some mechanics of Multicellular, write us on our email or here in the Community Hub, so we can help you 🙂
See you at the next update 😉
Multicellular - Now Available on Steam!
Hello friends!
As we promised some months ago, we managed to release Multicellular before November!
Here are some things we've done during the Early Access period:
- fixed bugs
- added new organisms
- added new map
- added new natural phenomenon
- added new audio effects
- added new textures
- improved single player gameplay
- improved multiplayer gameplay
- optimized multiplayer synchronization.
We'll continue to support the game, so tell us your issues and your suggestions.
If the number of players will increase enough, we'll be able to start to develop new game modes, especially for multiplayer!
We hope you'll have fun with Multicellular and don't forget: "Fight! Survive! Evolve!"
Update to version 0.9013
Hi folks!
Here are the changes of this update:
- Gameplay improvement: we've optimized the performance when there are lots of organisms in the map.
- Gameplay improvement: we've changed the update rate in the navigation system of bots' scripts, so now you can have a higher frame rate when there are many bots in multiplayer matches.
- Gameplay improvement: we've adjusted some values in the motor cells and in the offensive cells.
- Bug solved: we've fixed some colliders in the Editor map because player's organism could get stuck there.
- Bug solved: in Football and in King of the Puddle, the poisonous cells could damage friendly organisms.
- Bug solved: sometimes, in King of the Puddle, the spawn of the organisms in multiplayer wasn't correct. We aren't sure if this is completely fixed now, so report us the issue if you experience it.
- Bug solved: rarely, in multiplayer, two players could be spawned together in the same place, so they were stuck. We modified the algorithm now.
Maybe this week (or surely the next one) we'll launch the full release, so we need your help to make the game better as possible (almost all bugs fixed).
If you have suggestions, ideas or other, we are here to listen to you!
See you soon!
Update to version 0.9012
Hi guys!
Here are the improvements of this update:
- Gameplay improvement: we've improved the synchronization when a new player joins a host (so less time to wait in order to join).
- Gameplay improvement: we've improved the bot's spawn in the multiplayer; now they are more uniform.
- Bug solved: sometimes, in multiplayer, the player unlocked a new cell, but it wasn't available to be used in DNA mode.
- Bug solved: in the multiplayer of Genetic superiority, there was an issue with the synchronization of the temperature and the day-night cycle.
- Bug solved: in Football, sometimes when the player scored, the goal audio didn't start.
- Bug solved: there was a problem with the sexual reproduction of some kind of bots. They didn't stop or they attacked the player.
The full release is very close, so help us to find more problems as possible, thanks
We see you at the next update!
Update to version 0.9011
Hello players!
Here is the news of this version.
- Gameplay improvement: when you start a new singleplayer match, using the name of a previously saved one, that old one will be overwritten soon, so be careful.
Before you could maintain some unlocks (or other benefits) of the previous match, now you can't do it anymore.
- Gameplay improvement: we improved some colliders in Puddle map.
- Bug solved: some cells made troubles in DNA mode because they had a wrong layer.
- Bug solved: the value of the DNA earning wasn't saved, so there wasn't the bonus/malus of the DNA earning after a loading.
- UI improvement: little change about UI in the loading scene, the white background was ... bad.
- Bug solved (maybe): we've tried to fix the bug of the main cell that kept deleting in DNA mode, but it's difficult because we aren't able to reproduce this issue on our machines.
Every indication is welcome!
Update to version 0.9010
Hello friends!
We wanted to fix some bugs, especially in the multiplayer.
- Gameplay improvement: now Multicellular should recognize the language of the player's computer and set the right language automatically.
- Bug solved: probably we've fixed the bugs that spawned meatballs endlessly.
We aren't able to reproduce this bug on our machines, so we need your feedback to know if now it is fixed, thanks.
- Bug solved: there was an issue with the synchronization of the ball position in the "Football" game mode.
- Bug solved: the new organism "Penetranti Virilix" had some problems with the movements.
- Bug solved: the animations of some "motor cells" didn't work correctly in multiplayer.
- Bug solved: in multiplayer the player could have a different time of the day-night cycle.
- Bug solved: in some situations, the harpoons didn't work correctly, because they didn't apply the force to the preys while they were moving.
We want to release the full version of the game as soon as possible, so help us to find the bugs, thanks!
See you at the next update folks!
