Update on the port battle state. We have partially identified the issues with port battles and were able to replicate some of them. The main causes of the port battles issues were caused by simultaneous update of battle, quest, port and other statistics. Such problems could increase during active after "battle over" mass looting by multiple players (especially from higher ping countries). We know which areas to fix to solve the issue.
We are now doing the following:
We plan to rework statistics: clear some of it and improve methods of recording for other types - will be done this week.
We plan to upgrade infrastructure to much better quality servers (will be done within 1-2 weeks).
We plan to redesign long distance looting at least in port battles - if things above do not help.
All port battles will have to be rescheduled by another 7 days.
Compensations will be delayed to early next week.

Apology from the dev team for problems in port battles
Captains,
First we would like to apologize on behalf of Game Labs and Naval Action team for the issues with port battles.
We have found new crash cases and working on a fix this weekend and will not return port battles until the system is working properly. There are several reasons for the crashes mainly caused by long distance looting, repairs and hold access at the end of port battles on mass exit of battles. We want to rework and improve the system for the future.
To prevent further frustration caused by crashes all conquest activity on the War server will be stopped for 7 days after today's maintenance, all planned port battles are rescheduled for 7 days. We will launch a 7 day loot event (adding additional items for holds of enemies). We will post a separate announcement on this later today.
We understand that RVR is a key part of the game and know you are all upset and want to fix it completely before the deployment of the improved trading, travel balloons, and improved cannon crafting updates (2 next big updates)
General compensation for inconveniences during past days will be given in the beginning of next week to all players. Additional worthwhile compensation will be provided to affected clans losing time in port battles.

All port battles set up for today have been cancelled. All flags used to plant port battles will be compensated via redeemable box.

After today's maintenance all conquest activity on the War server will be available again.
Potential fix for the instance crash is also deployed, still we will monitor the situation to be aware of any unexpected issues since the fix.

Full compensations for PB crashes will be given out this week once problem fully fixed.

This is a measure to prevent crash of battle instances that has been extremely annoying recently.
