Test Server Hotfix - March 18th

Captains, the following changes were deployed on the Test Server today, March 18th:


  • Fixed several issues with pumps being assigned to incorrect classes
  • Fixed certain issues with mast thickness that made demasting by chain difficult
  • The "Buy Price" column is back in the Trader Tool

Test Server Update - March 17th

Captains, following changes were deployed today, March 17th, on the Test Server:

Guns and Ship Thickness



  • Fixed damage and DPM for long guns and all long gun variants
  • Penetration of guns is now based on class (step 1 of class-based tweaks)
  • Ship thickness has adjusted as well based on calibers they can carry (step 1 of class-based tweaks)
  • Penetration and thickness changes are work in progress and will be tweaked going forward


Water Intake Adjustments



  • Water intake from destroyed structure was slightly increased
  • Water intake will now begin when the internal structure is significantly damaged
  • At 15% of internal structure and below, water intake will start overcoming the ship’s pumping capacity


Hull Repair



  • Crew required for hull repairing was slightly increased
  • There will be additional improvements to structural leaks and crew required to manage it will continue to improve.


Bug Fixes



  • Fixed an issue where penalties for damaged internal structures (below 30%) were not applied correctly
  • This issue was linked to fixes related to speed penalties after resolving the wind shadow mechanics


Flooding Penalty Parameters



  • Acceleration penalty for completely destroyed internal structure: 75%
  • Acceleration penalty for a fully flooded ship: 85%
  • Rudder turning and yard power penalties for a fully flooded ship: 85%

Test Server Hotfix - March 15th

Captains, the following changes were deployed on the Test Server today, March 15th:


  • Wind shadow additional issues found and fixed
  • Ship mast height will now properly affect the shadow size
  • Overall effect of wind shadow is slightly decreased
  • The strongest distance wind shadow is at 1 hull length
  • Smaller vessels will no longer be able to steal 50% of your wind if you are in a much bigger ship. Small ships will have very low "dirty air" effect

Test Server Hotfix - March 14th

Captains, the following changes were deployed on the Test Server today, March 14th:


  • Slightly increased gunpowder and ammunition loot for warship NPCs in Open World
  • Maximum gunpowder amount in contracts increased to 50,000
  • Maximum ball, chain, and grape ammunition in contracts increased to 20,000
  • Fixed a bug where certain ships were not allowed to participate in Port Battles
  • Applied an additional fix for the Santa Cecilia Blueprint availability
  • Fixed a bug related to incorrect raider Port Battle date allocation

Test Server Update - March 13th

Captains, following changes were deployed today, March 13th, on the Test Server:

Game Mechanics & Economy Updates



  • Crafting recipes have been overhauled, reducing the number of trips required to craft consumables, ships, and guns.
  • Updated prices for consumables available in port shops and some raw resources.
  • Gunpowder maximum stack increased from 25,000 to 50,000.
  • Ball Ammo, Chain Ammo, and Grape Ammo maximum stacks increased from 10,000 to 20,000.
  • Wind Shadow and Rigging Shock now correctly affect ship speed and inertia.
  • Rudder penalty now correctly affects ship speed and inertia.
  • Updated bonuses for certain perks and wood types.
  • Slightly increased marines' effectiveness in boarding actions.
  • 5th and 4th rate NPC ships now use gray quality modules in boarding.
  • 3rd, 2nd and 1st rate NPC ships now use green quality modules in boarding.
  • Port Battles are now scheduled 24 hours after the Conquest Flag is deployed.
  • Slightly increased loot from trader ships.
  • The patrol around Puerto Plata has been moved closer to La Tortue.

General Changes & Fixes



  • Players can now trade at ports without owning an outpost.
  • The fishing bind option has been disabled in Game Settings until further notice.
  • Exam requirements: Players must reach 2nd battle rank to start exams and 3rd battle rank for the Final Exam.
  • Final Exam rewards are now placed in the Reward Chest.
  • Items purchased from the Admiralty are now placed in the ship’s hold if the player does not own an outpost.
  • Fixed a missing Santa Cecilia Blueprint bug.
  • Fixed port tax bugs when purchasing ships from captured ports.
  • Fixed a crash bug when crafting 42-pound long guns.

Captains, the following changes were deployed on the Test Server today, March 10th:


  • Reduced fire spread from broadside hits on the ship
  • Reduced chance of ship catching fire

Test Server Hotfix - March 7th

Captains, the following changes were deployed on the Test Server today, March 7th:

General



  • Fixed a bug related to contracts
  • Fixed a bug causing crew members to disappear
  • Fixed a bug where phantom items remained after crafting
  • Fixed a bug with incorrect wood type when redeeming DLC ships with fir wood
  • Fixed a bug where the Reward Chest did not update correctly after claiming an item from redeemables, requiring players to reopen it
  • Fixed a bug where NPCs in Open World used incorrect ship types (e.g., NPCs were sailing Implacable and Santisima, which they should not)
  • Improved tooltips for some modules
  • Slightly increased production of oak logs, iron ore, and hemp


Ship Adjustments



  • Updated speed for all ships
  • Updated turn rate for all ships
  • Updated acceleration and deceleration values for all ships
  • Increased deceleration force at negative speeds, reducing excessive backward sailing speed for all ships

Important Information Regarding Contract and Crew Issues

Captains,

We are aware of the bugs affecting contracts, and fixing them is currently our top priority, along with issues related to crew disappearing when switching from a ship with a larger crew to a smaller one.

Until the contract bugs are resolved, please avoid setting up new contracts or claiming existing ones.

Test Server Hotfix - March 6th

Captains, following items are issued in the Redeemable for all players:


  • Gunpowder: 70,000 (found in the Gifts & Rewards tab)
  • Ball Ammo: 5,000 (found in the Gifts & Rewards tab)
  • Doubloons: 30,000 (found in the Gifts & Rewards tab)
  • Experience: Amount required to reach the Commodore rank (found in the Reals & XP Grant tab)

Items are placed in the Reward Chest upon claim

Other changes




  • The minimal possible damage during boarding actions has been increased
  • Medicinal bark now spawns across various regions
  • Rewards for patrol missions have been increased
  • Armor HP Bonuses related to wood, modules, and books have been adjusted
  • Guns now consume less gunpowder; for example, a 42-pounder gun now requires only 8 units of gunpowder
  • Recipes for gunpowder and medicine have been reworked to improve logistics, addressing previous issues where required materials and raw resources occupied significant hold space

Important Information on Contracts

Captains, the following changes were deployed on the Test Server today, March 5th:


  • Fixed a bug where medical bark was not being produced, preventing Medicine crafting
  • Increased the variety of ships sailed by NPCs in the Open World
  • Adjusted the weight of raw resources and materials
  • Improved localization
