-Fixed enemies' rotation update bug when they are lunging.
-Disabled aerial knock-back to enemies from bullets (This was an experiment and It's just disabled, not removed.)
-Disabled aerial knock-back to enemies from melee attacks. (Again this is experimental and might bring back when further refined)

Hello, a new patch is now available. Here are the patch notes.

Patch 0.1.2.1



-Enemies AI will learn to predict repetitive attacks from players and will increase defensiveness when players don't mix up attacks.
-Improved Zenith Thrash to bring nearby enemies to player altitude.
-Air Melee Attacks will have knockback effect on enemies that are flying or falling.
-Shooting falling enemies will also have a knockback effect. This will be further tweaked and refined in future builds.
-Bullet impacts on enemies are now a contrasted blue color and are much brighter.
-Refined impact frames to be more consistent among all melee attacks including cqc. A camera shake effect has also been added with impact frames.
-Access to the other help menus such as melee combo list, hud layout, and control layout has been added to the training mode menu.
-Equipped Swords attach to character's arms and tail when performing CQC melee attacks.
-Added temporary fix for players spawning inside of level geometry on some checkpoints.

Major Features



Training Mode







-Training Mode is a Consequence free environment where players can learn Nelo's various gameplay mechanics in any order or fashion they choose.
-Each Mechanic can be selected in a menu and can be previewed via video and description.
-Training Mode also has a 'Free-roam' option where the player can freely move in an arena and spawn enemies whenever they want.
-Training Mode Menu is also accessible in the Help Menu in the form of 'Advanced Help' or a tip menu.


Steam Achievements





-Steam Achievements are now available to unlock.
-Since Nelo's campaign isn't finished, some achievements cannot be unlocked until the remaining content is added.

CQC Melee and other Melee Attacks





-Nelo can now engage Closed-Quarters Melee Combat using punches, kicks, and tail attacks.
-Added Gimbal Thrash, another upward thrash move similar to Zenith Thrash but with stun effects.
-Character can no longer step over destructible meshes when hitting them with Melee Attacks.
-Updated Melee Help Menu with new abilities and example video clips.
-Added more exaggerated impact effects for Melee attacks. This included brighter, light-emitting particles and 'Hit Frames' for larger attacks.
-New particle effects for Gimbal Thrash and Zenith Thrash.

Nightsithe Enemy Animations





-Nightsithe Enemies from the campaign mode all have sets of animations for idle, dodge, attack, block, hit reaction, grabbed, and stunned.
-Nightsithe Charge attacks are now telegraphed with anticipating animations and flash effect cues.
-Some Nightsithe have a 'Phase' Ability where they glow blue and temporarily become invulnerable, can still move around but they cannot attack in this state.



Mission Logs





-20 Collectable Mission Logs can be found in Chapters 3 through 6
-Mission Logs contain extended lore following the attempted survivors of the Aurora Dwarf, as well as info about Tono Gian History, Nightsithe History, Redevelopment on Solace, and more.

Improvements to Aurora's Sacrifice

-further enhanced mood and lighting with varied color pallets for each corner of the level, more emphasized rain effects, and illuminated fog.
-Fixed bug where Fusion Key locks won't retrigger when player creates a fusion key standing inside a trigger.

-Added Option to toggle Omni-Fire instead of holding down the Omni-Fire Button.
-Fixed Endurance Bug where timer ticks when game is paused.

-Added smoother character rotation update when wallrunning.
-Added teleport triggers in platforming sections on Chapter 4 and Chapter 6.
-Fixed issues with destructible boulders spawning on top of each other on Chapter 6.
-Fixed Bug where Loadout selection loses input focus in Main Menu.
-Hud elements including Crosshairs have been brightened.
-Hud bob effect has been added and can be adjusted in Settings Menu.
-Chromatic Aberration Effect has been reduced.
-Added Longer Iframes and unique animation and effects when dodging, airdashing, and divedashing.
-Hyper class Nightsithes have increased aggressiveness.
-Nightsithe Gunner Class reduced favoring Melee attacks.
-Flyer Class Nightsithe no longer favor Melee attacks at all.
-Added North Pin on Minimap.
-Fixed Texture filtering issues on some assets and effects.
-Made Nightsithe rocket effect more visible from the front and back view.
-spawn point for crafting materials from destructible meshes are slighter higher.
-improved collision on some of the building meshes
-Fixed level streaming bug on The Checkpoint on Aurora's Sacrifice at the gate requiring 3 fusion nodes.
-Vertical Camera Control with mouse when using Melee Attacks
-Emphasized Screen Effect taking damage.
-Fixed issue with inability to execute downed enemies while performing Melee attacks.

'The Pie-like selection menu for items. The visuals are placeholder until further development'

-Addressed Crashing issues involving Nightsithe Cherubs on Endurance Mode. (Not confirmed fixed without thorough testing)
-Fixed Shock Mine not working.
-Flashbang now behaves like a mini Stun Bomb. The Flashbang's radius and effectiveness isn't as big as the Stun Bombs earned through Zen rewards.
-Special Items now utilize a Pie Menu-like UI where Items can be quickly selected using the Left Thumb stick based on direction. Mouse functionality simply involves clicking. The visuals are still very placeholder, we will make it prettier after further testing and refining.
-Fixed Tutorial descriptions for Aiming on Solace, and Aurora's Sacrifice having outdated information about 'Aim' Text.
-Realigned the 'Buff' text above the Combo Counter on the HUD when using a Combo Buff Item.
-Added Blur effect over background of the Special Item Menu.

-Fixed Bug with items missing when reentering resource builder.
-Player can now cancel Melee Attacks with Jumping.
-Set the First enemies on Solace to spawn right in front of the player's view.
-NPC kills now go to player's score to prevent compromise to earned rank.
-Added more set piece elements to Jaymar's scene on Solace. Set piece patrol ships surround the arena before the White Blazar's rescue.
-Rally points grant Fusion Keys in appropriate areas.
-Other material needed for creating a Fusion Key are now placed near Fusion Nodes.
-Blueprint Menu now displays the number of materials you have next to the number of materials required to create item.
-Inventory Size and Max Capacity are displayed when grabbing resource materials and can also be seen in the craft menu itself.

-Fixed Double tap WASD option not saving.
-Brightened lighting for boss sequence on Moon level.
-Added "Void pits" in platforming areas on Aurora's Sacrifice that teleport players to the last checkpoint when failing instead of needing to find a green lift.
-Fixed Level design exploit on Moon level where players can enter wings from the wrong end.
-Added extended safe time after enemies spawn on lower difficulties.
-Some rally points grant Fusion Keys if needed.
-Put Fusion key lock in front of level-stream game in the area on the Plemniba Level where you first obtain a fusion node.

Major Features



New Control Scheme and Control Improvements







-Control Layout for Gamepad and Mouse and Keyboard have been reassigned.
-improved crouch responsiveness
-Soft jumping removed
-Crouching can be triggered when in sprint when at lower speeds like when running into a wall
-Air dash has controllable distances based on how long the dash button has been held.
-Air dash now uses the same counter as dodges
-Air dash, like ground dodges now have i-frames when triggered
-Air dashing can cancel melee attacks performed in the air, in exception of drop attacks.
-Dodging and Hyperblitz can now be performed while wallrunning.
-Player Gravity scale lowers when performing aim and some melee attacks when in the air.
-player will resume Hyperblitz when holding down the sprint button after landing. This also applies when initiating wallrunning.
-Aim can trigger Bullet Time when using Melee attacks and in OmniFire.
-Added ability to cycle through alternative firing formations in OmniFire.
-Stunbomb don't require holding down the 'bomb' button.
-Shield has timing feature that can extend shield lifespan.


Crafting System





-Create Weapons, Power-ups, and Utilities using materials found in the world.
-Destructible objects will drop resources for Crafting.
-Scanner Nodes and Fusion Nodes are now a Crafting Resource. and Node Gates require a Key made from the Nodes.
-Crafting Resources can also be found in Platforming sections.
-Standard Weapon Lockers have been replaced with Resource Builders where you can trade credits and tokens earned from combat for Crafting Resources.
-Weapon Lockers needed for specific areas remain weapon lockers. They now however use a different mesh asset to distinguish from the Resource Builder

New Endurance Map Consolation





-Consolation is based on the Single Player Mission, Solace.


Splitscreen Endurance





-Local 2 player splitscreen is now a feature in Endurance mode.
-As for this build, Mouse and Keyboard support isn't fully functional. You can try it but expect many problems if you do. We recommend plugging 2 gamepads into your PC.

New Progression System





-Progression designed around highest scores and difficulties.
-Progression system chart can be accessed in the Profile Menu.

Unlockable Helmets





-Helmet cosmetics can be unlocked by progressing your rank in Endurance.
-Helmets can be worn in both singleplayer and endurance and can be swapped at any time without leaving a game.

Unlockable Loadout Customs





-Unlock Customizable Loadouts for Endurance.

Improvements to Solace and Aurora's Sacrifice.





-Made Solace more first impression friendly.
-Added 'invisible walls' around the rooftops on Solace. We are usually against putting glass walls in front of spectacle set pieces but for being a first level, it's necessary.
-Solace has been brightened to be easier to see combat.
-New Lighting on Aurora's Sacrifice to be more visually interesting
-Aurora's Sacrifice utilizes level streaming now. Wings are now loaded behind level stream gates.
-Removed All Lava pits in Aurora's Sacrifice.


Other Fixes



-Added Aim and OmniFire Tutorial prompts on Solace.
-Recreated scoreboard to display a nearly unlimited highscores. Highscores are displayed on scrollable cards and are color coded by difficulty.
-Prompt Next to technique meter notifying low technique has been added to the HUD to somewhat clarify discouraging repetitive gameplay strategies.
-Hud layout has been re-arranged a bit. Technique meter and Slow-mo meter have been moved above the crosshairs framing the health and stamina bars.
-Throwing enemies have been buffed. Throw velocity has been decreased to prevent overshooting, grab radius has been increased and enemy explosion damage has been increased.
-Field of view increases to 120 when in OmniFire.
-OmniFire world transparency shader has been modified. We replaced the Dither AA effect and replaced it with a fading grid pattern to reduce onscreen blurring.
-Motion Blur Amount has been decreased to %12 of what was in previous builds. Motion blur is also only visible when in the third person shooting mode so it's disabled when in Omnifire and using Melee Attacks.
-Improved Ledge-climb when mounting onto moving objects.
-FMV cut-scenes are now formatted to H.264 instead of WMV. The clips in the Melee Help Menu however are still WMV.
-FMVs now play audio through FMOD.
-UE4's default audio engine has been completely disabled. The game's audio is now handled entirely in FMOD
-Endurance Announcer Cues have been remade.
-Fixed Endurance exploitation. Holding Territories will not increase your level multiplier if you don't fight enemies.
-Added Destructible Set Dressing Boulders on the Moon level to obtain resources.
-Gamepad Help menu Mouse and Keyboard Help menu and Hud Help menu have been updated to the new changes.
-Elevator Scene on Solace has been modified. Camera shake effect has been decreased and we added windows with panning lights to enforce the sensation of being in an elevator.
-Fixed Lift to Hyper Cannon on White Blazar to be ready immediately after repairing the fusion reactor.
-Enlarged Dodge Icons and brightened their penalize blinks to be more visible.
-Level streaming gates no longer trigger from weapon fire. Level streaming gate only accept overlap from the Nelo player character class for triggering.
-Added disclaimer in rally point selection stating that rally points only work on missions and difficulties you have already completed.
-Further improvements added to the Patrol Dropships. Patrol Dropships will return multiple factions of scouts to the actor pool to prevent broken wave generators.
-Aim/Omni Context widget removed
-Crosshair size reduced.
-Material effect added to player model when using shield along with existing effects. The primary shield effects hide when aiming allowing the material effect to show the player in shielded.
-Added destroyed mesh for destructible truck asset.
-destructible world assets are no longer hazardous.
-Dodge penalty now ends on 3rd dodge recover instead of 4th
-Taking damage while in Nova or Quasar buff affects combos again, utilizing shield extension should make up for this.
-Fixed buttons losing focus in Singleplayer Chapter Select Menu.

The standard platform asset now has chain-link walls on the sides to allow players to better attach themselves from the side via wallslide or the newly added ledge grabbing.


A demonstration of the ledge climbing in action. The transitional movement and animation is still very rough and we will improve it.
