A lot of you messaged me regarding players that are supposidly carrying out DDoS type attacks.
If it is indeed a DDoS then report it to your ISP.
If it is instead one IP constantly pinging you, then block that IP on your router or host machine. You could also report that player to steam if you have logs.
There are currently no plans to host official servers apart from mine on the day of patches.

Patch 11/18 Incoming
Hi All,
So we wanted to patch the box letters from yesterdays patch and decided to throw in a few bug fixes.
Changes
- Fixed box lettering
- Improved the Flashlight.
- Increased movement volume
- Increased character height
- Hopefully fixed the inventory and pickup exploits (Let me know a repro if it's still happening, we couldnt repro it) - Oh yeah and enabled third person view with a crosshair. Just type into chat /ChangeCamera to toggle between the views.
Other
So we want to enable a "beta" mode which would allow you to try the most recent builds we upload and give us feedback on new features. I'll announce this at a later time.
For those of you that might remember, way back in closed beta we had dodge movement. Well, before enabling these features we'd want others to try them out. I've always wanted to fix vehicles so that might also be in these beta builds.
Anyway, build will be out in 30 minutes.
~Puppet
PS: Based on feedback I'm going to make the thirdperson a server setting. Hosters please edit the server settings document and set AllowThirdPerson to true. It's going to be off by default.
Making a new build.
PPS: If you don't see AllowThirdPerson in your server settings just add on "AllowThirdPerson":true
11/17 Patch Incoming
Hi all,
Fixed the issues we saw yesterday. Thank you all for being so patient! We will update the servers in 25 minutes!
Here is whats new:
1. Password protected servers show icon - brings up password prompt
2. Server list buttons updated. (Added refresh button, fixed checkboxes, added lan button toggle)
3. Server listing now filters by build version
4. Clicking a players name in the player list copies it to input
5. Right clicking a players name as admin brings up admin controls
6. Took out gold icons and text
Notes:
1. Server passwords need to be uppercase with no special characters. Password prompt only accepts A-B, 0-9, Num0-Num9 input.
2. You might not see servers since hosting players need to update their version before it displays. I'll Host one in the meantime :)
Next patch will contain bug and exploit fixes.
Thank you all,
~Puppet
PS: Special thanks to Leon, SirZuidy, LeadCrazySam, and [EPIC]Maced for their help testing multiple builds outside our office network. It was greatly appreciated!
Need hosting player volunteers!
Hey All,
Test failed, back to work!

Server issue
Seems the patch is preventing players from joining servers.
The error is: "You cannot join the match because the host has downloadable content you do not."
I'll be reverting to the previous build until I get this sorted out.
Sorry folks,

New Build is comming later tonight
Hi guys!
First off I wanted to thank you all for being so patient as we get these updates out the door. This one didn't have all the things we planned on but it should be sufficent to address pressing issues in the servers.
Second, since we couldnt update the menus and UI in time, we instead added in some pretty cool features to spectate and kick/ban a person without having to type in their name.
Lastly, I know everyone is excited about modding their game. It's something we'll be working on more towards the end of the month. Our next focus is bug fixes and exploits. If you have any exploits that you'd rather not share with anyone, please let me know via PM or email to support@phosphorgames.com.
Now then, whats new.
1. Camera shake is toggleable. Just type into chat /ToggleCameraShake
2. Updated Admin Spectator mode
New Admin Commands:
StartSpectating()
StopSpectating()
PrintPlayerList() -> Prints out all player ids
ViewPlayerByName (PlayerName) -> See a specific player
LMB/RMB in spectator mode -> go to next/previous player
ToggleBehindView() in spectator mode -> toggle camera view
ViewPlayer (PlayerName) -> Quickly spectate a player [iffy] Type in SELF to stop viewing
KickCurrentPlayer () -> Kick current spectated player
BanCurrentPlayer () -> Same as above but with ban
Thats all guys, more updates to come.

Launch Nether Server Updated
We updated the server launcher. You can now set server passwords and admin privileges. Anyone can be an admin if they know the password. They just need to type into chat /AdminLogin [password]
To Use Admin Commands open up chat and type in /[YourCommand]
*Note: Server passwords are WIP. To connect you'd need to make a shortcut to Nether.exe and in properties, at the end of Target, Specify the IP and the server password. Example: [127.0.0.1]
HOW TO HOST A MULTIPLAYER SERVER
Next week we'll automate the process more, but for now:
1) in your Steam library
2) right click on Nether
3) select 'Properties'
4) click 'Local Flies' tab
5) select 'Browse Local Files'
6) enter 'Game' folder
7) enter 'Binaries' folder
8) run launchnetherserver.exe
9) you will then be able to set up and run your server
You may need to forward ports 7777 and possibly 27015 UDP
PVE Beta Servers are here!
Hello everyone! After months of waiting we are finally proud to release our first wave of PVE servers. This game mode is currently in Beta and may feel easy. However at Pure FPS we are striving to make our PVE equally as difficult as our PVP mode by bringing the fear of the Nether back into the game!
With our latest update you should be seeing out new game mode live with the words : PVE at the end of the server title.
