November Update #2
Greetings survivors of the Nether Apocalypse. We would like all of our players to know that Pure FPS is dedicated to bringing you the best experience the world of Nether has to offer. We have just rolled back to a previous build, which is more stable, and are working on opening up more servers for everyone to enjoy depending on feedback. We are also taking steps to bring in more anti-cheat and anti-hack detection to go alongside the currently installed VAC.
We took over Nether from Phosphor Games in June 2014. I would like to replay the new features and fixes Pure FPS has made for Nether since then.
New Features:

<*>Second playable Nether! Look for new Potions in the Store and in Gold Chests.
<*>Second usable attack when playing as Nether. The attack is initiated with right click.
<*>Cool-down timer for Health & Stamina items (Fixes Unlimited Sprint Exploit)

Main fixes:
Fixed obtaining items from the store or global inventory not checking your weight and size capacity.
Stacked items now display their total weight and size in the item description.
Fixed a bug resulting in being stuck sprinting or moving when interacting with popups.
Fixed a bug resulting in Reapers and their minions not giving experience.
Enemies can no longer hit players through walls by pressing against the wall.
Fixed Nether vision effect remaining on screen after the player switches back to a human character

Hello everyone,
We have deployed our last "silent" patch on November 6. We believe this one fixes the stability issue of the servers, although it will take a few days (as always) to monitor the situation and have final confirmation. Once this confirmation has been obtained, we will gradually re-deploy additional servers to meet the demand. We are dedicated to providing the best experience Nether has to offer. Please keep posting if you encounter any issue (or just to say "Hi!", we always appreciate it).

Last Man Standing Stress Test - Play Now!

Sorry that this message is getting our a bit late as we are currently updating our servers with our latest update.
Servers should be coming back online as well as our new Last Man Standing Servers which will be up during our stress test.
Last Man Standing

All new game mode where the goal is to be the last player alive through the means of survival and elimination. (Up to 16 players)
Players can obtain items during the match by exploring areas throughout the map OR by killing nether, which have a chance of dropping items for your player to use.
Once the match ends, rewards will be handed out to the 3 MVP's and winner of the match
(Reward items are placed in your Global Inventory and can be used in the regular game mode)
(Reward will not be places in your Global Inventory if there is not enough space for the reward)
MVP rewards are given out to players who performed exceptionally well during the match:
• Most Eliminations
• Most Damage Taken (HP loss from hunger is not counted towards this)
• Most Valuable Inventory (Sell value of each item in the player backpack when he/she dies)
We've also place a new "Leaderboard" function in the controls menu for bring up the score-board during the Last Man Standing match. This is currently defaulted to the "Tab" key but can be assigned to something more preferable.

August Update #3 - Minor Fixes - Launcher fixes + Gold Value Changes
Update # 3 for August is a small update with some small fixes
Fixes Launcher
-Various bugs in launcher have been fixed.
Rework Currency
-Gold currency now has a different value and will be updated upon logging in
-In game store prices have been changed.

REMINDER While developers are still providing effective patches on smaller issues there is still a heavy focus on the current hacking situation.
August Update #2 - Fixes & Now $9.99!

Update #2 for August is another smaller patch with fixes and a content addition. Coming up, we continue to test balance, fixes, a new upcoming game-mode, and strengthen cheat prevention and detection for further updates to improve the Nether gaming experience!
Fixes
· Fixed player Level 1 Skill: Blocking
Right-Clicking with a melee weapon will block attack (User still needs to spend skill point)
· Fixed Nether vision effect remaining on screen after the player switches back to a human character
· Flashbang effects no longer remain on screen after the player dies while flashbanged.
Player is now notified before spawning into the world if the Lakeside Safe Haven is currently under attack or not

August Update #1 - Minor Fixes - More On The Way!
This Monday an update will be releasing with some minor fixes. Developers are currently working on new content, more fixes, and perfecting VAC-protection and other ideas to combat all different cheats. We hope to have many big updates this month with huge improvements on Nether's gameplay experience!

Fixes
• Made more optimizations to hit-boxes on the character models
• Fixed breathing for Player Level 1 Skill: Steady Aim, scope now remains still
In addition to fix, the Pipe Sniper & RAB-47 now works with the Steady Aim Skill
Player can hold breath for several seconds before a short cool-down period
• Tutorial way-points now update correctly and will disappear for players who completed the tutorial
Added Feature
• Added cool-down timer for Health & Stamina items (Fixes Unlimited Sprint Exploit)
Player health and/or stamina wheel will turn yellow when the cool-down timer is active)
Player is notified with a message when trying to use a stamina or health item during the cool-down timer

July Update # 4 - Cash Drop Balance, Hitbox Fixes, & More?
Today we will be releasing a new update! We've seen how you feel about the cash drop and hitboxes and the developers have been working hard to optimize and balance to meet with player feedback. As always, once the update goes live and you try it out, feel free to give us any feedback or concerns!
Patch is currently scheduled for 7/22 during the morning hours (CDT) time. This post will be updated once specific times are ready. Fixes
· Hit-Box Optimization (Hit-Boxes have been tweaked for better hit detection)
· Character stats displays correct information when connecting to a server
· Cosmetic items are shown on character when connecting to a server
· Character customization properly works with Tribe Outfits
· Packages can no longer be turned in twice for double rewards
· Added collision to stair models around the Downtown & Wasteland area
· Removed invisible collision in subways which obstructed player movement
· Cleaned up floating assets in the Downtown area
· Cleaned up edges/boundaries around the map which was causing player to get stuck in game
Content Adjustments
· Players now lose 25% of their cash upon death and opponents can pick up 20% of the cash that was dropped. (Adjusted from 45% which was too much of a penalty for death)
Added Feature
· Disable Head-Bob (Less Camera movement when the character is moving in-game)
July Update #3 - Money Exploit Balances
New update is on the way today! Servers will go down during the morning (CDT) and should come back up within 30 minutes to 1 hour. This patch focuses on more fixes and balancing and removing exploits.
Fixes
• Flashlight toggle sound “on/off” is only heard locally. Other players are no longer affected.
• Fixed issue with player needing backpack space and weight in order to pick up cash
• Adjusted some floating grass areas in Wastelands
• More models (assets) around the world have added collision
• Heartburner and Gravedigger show correct textures when dropped in the world
• Added name and description to some cosmetic items
Content Balances
• Cash Cap: $200,000 (Players should be locked at $200k if they join a server after the update)
Message “Wallet Full” is now displayed if player tries to go over cap limit
• Items sold to the store no longer give player experience (Character Skill Point Exploit Fix)
Items found in loot crates will now distribute experience to the player
Some loot crates will not contain any items, but the player will still receive some experience for exploring
Player still receives sell value (cash) for items sold to the store
• Players now lose 45% of their cash upon death and opponents can pick up 10% of the cash that was dropped. (Cash exploit: Shanty Stilt Town Territory Fix)
The 4th Promo
• Fireworks have been removed from the Lakeside, Museum, and High-Rise Outpost
• Uncle Sam’s Hat price has been adjusted from the promotional $1 price
