285: Early Access 0.13.24 - August 30, 2022 12:50 AM EST • Completed itemization of exceptional unique shields. • Most base spell damage values have been significantly increased. • I don't think increased block rate on items was actually working. It does now. • Tanks now have an innate bonus to block rate. • Fixed a bug related to elemental absorb values. • Fixed how Stasis Field (ENC) affects damage to party members. I don't think this was being calculated correctly. It should seem more effective and reflect what the tooltip indicates. • Reduced the maximum possible value of haste for rare weapons. • Fixed the client achievement data for the level 95 achievements. It was causing the achievement to not appear. • Champion mobs are now more common on nightmare and hell, but fewer of them can appear per fight. You will not see more than two champs per battle. • Several Crusader and Shadow Knight spells had their cast time reduced. • Experience earned in hell and hell heroic has been increased.
Added exceptional unique staves and focus items
284: Early Access 0.13.23 - August 28, 2022 9:15 PM EST • Completed exceptional staves and focus items. • Reduced mob resists in nightmare, hell. This should boost damage of all spell damage in nightmare, hell. Though mobs still receive specific boosts to their resists. If it's a mob with ice resistance then it has STRONGER ice resistance in nm/hell. • Leech and wraith properties are no longer affected by difficulty. 'Damage Taken To' properties are still reduced by difficulty. • Adjusted almost all buffs that give resists to players. The values have been scaled back with planned itemization, nightmare, and hell difficulty in mind. • Prowl (ROG) now only reduces incoming damage by 25% down from 50%. Its damage and duration was also scaled down a bit. • All player physical damage reduction takes place prior to a hard cap check. So Prowl, Lich Form, Bulwark, and similar skills, are all calculated before a single hard cap. Previously there was a complex double layer of caps. The hard cap for reducing mob physical damage is now 66%. • Mending Aura (MNK) had its damage reduction reduced, but had its healing effect improved.
Taunt improvements, bug fixes, difficulty tuning
283: Early Access 0.13.22 - August 27, 2022 2:35 PM EST • Taunt now locks the target to you for a minimum fixed duration. • Shield Bash (WAR) no longer has a cooldown. • Zealous Slam (CRU) and Shield Break (SHD) now taunt their targets. • Fixed a bug that allowed for heal messages to display and buffs to apply to slain targets. • Mime Strike will now work on all three Hurricane Kicks (MNK). • Fixed a bug that allowed certain properties to incorrectly appear on certain rare items, such as Two-hand Blunt on shields. • Champion mobs are now more common on nightmare and hell difficulty. They are the most common in hell. • Adjusted how many mobs could be champ/uniques before level 20. You won't see more than one per battle below level 10. You won't see more than two before level 20. The maximum total of champ/uniques has also been lowered. • Fixed the layout of the leaderboard now that experience values are longer. • The experience penalty for playing in nightmare mode has been increased from 77 to 79. • Health, mana, and spirit recovery properties are now more powerful in nightmare and hell. Previously the leech, wraith rates in higher difficulties were much lower.

Also increased the store reset interval. 😊 • The character stat tab now display casting haste% and faster cast rate as separate fields to help avoid confusion. Faster cast rate is more like a rating that increases spellcasting speed, not a raw percentage boost. I hope that helps clear up the confusion! • Boosted the natural armor of mobs in nightmare and hell. • Adjusted melee miss rates and hit% cap slightly. • Exp find has been removed from rare items. It will still appear on some unique, set items. • Reduced mob resists in nightmare and hell.

They are NOT permanent, but this will help players find more useful items until itemization is completed. • The shop reset logic has been improved. • Completed itemization of unique helmets. • There is a new faster cast rate property on items which also appears on the character stats tab. This is also buffed by Melody of Mana (BRD) and Celestial Frenzy (TMP). Some rare items can have this property now! • An experience bonus was added for heroic mode. • Even more difficulty tuning changes for nightmare, hell, heroics, etc. • Fixed the number of traits for all bosses, uniques, champs in nightmare and hell. In some cases it mobs had the wrong number of traits.

Nightmare has been softened up a bit, but hell is still very challenging... so beware. Remember that the game isn't full itemized yet, but it won't take too long. • Adjusted the order of some properties on item tooltips. • New item properties, Absorb Damage (spell types), are now listed on the character stats tab.
New Level 99 cap! Nightmare and hell difficulties! Level 12 class skill caps!
267: Early Access 0.13.6 - August 19, 2022 7:00 AM EST • Level now goes up to level 99. • Class skills now go up to level 12. • Nightmare and hell missions are now available at the tavern if you clear its preceding difficulty. • Overall experience received from mobs has been re-adjusted throughout, so you may notice a difference, particularly after level 30. In the past, leveling actually felt faster after level 30. • Exceptional, elite items can now be purchased at the store. • Mobs have boosted armor and resists in nightmare and hell. • Players' elemental and status resists are lower in nightmare and hell. • Champion/unique mobs in nightmare and hell have additional traits. • Experience earned by mob consider color has been adjusted. In general, it has been increased. Rewards are much better for mobs equal level or higher and it tends to drop off considerably if fighting lower level mobs. • Magic and rare items can now roll values much higher than before. Nightmare and hell mobs allow for much higher potential values. • Some mob types now have physical resistance by default. This armor is light in normal difficulty, but is much stronger in nightmare and hell. • Faerie Flame (RNG) has been changed from fire to arcane damage type. Rangers need more damage type diversity and, even though it literally says flame in the name, it operates in a more arcane sense than a flaming sense. Trust me! It illuminates your target! • Fixed a bug that caused ping to erroneously go up when equipping items. • Fixed Melody of Mana and Litany of Life (BRD) tooltip bugs at the academy. They now indicate their correct values by rank. • Some base items were renamed to align better with their image and item tiers. Of course, fancier names should be a higher item tier. This change is not retroactive. • The current target bar now lists resists, immunities in a new concise format. • Righteous Rhapsody (BRD) now triggers auto attack. • Updated nightmare/hell mob attributes. • Fixed item linking to party, guild, whisper. • When failing to embark on a nightmare/hell mission, the error message will display the full list of names of people who cannot embark. • Fixed a bug that would cause you to rejoin a previous party in some circumstances. • Empty messages no longer populate your chat input history. • You will no longer see linked items from players that you have ignored. • Ignore lists now automatically remove duplicate values. • Mobs now receive certain damage bonuses if they are higher level than you. • You now receive the same heroic and non-heroic experience from quests and mobs. • Plain Cape's base item image value was corrected. • Exp find, gold find, and magic find now appear on the stat sheet. Only the leader's run speed affects the party speed. • Fixed a display glitch with slain party members' health bars. They now correctly display as empty instead of full. • Added new minimum property values for exceptional and elite items. • Gold, exp, and magic find can now appear on certain items. • Enabled walking while alt-tabbed. • Specific skills can now receive a damage bonus from items. • Buffs and debuffs can now reduce the amount of incoming physical damage from mobs beyond the regular armor (physical reduction) cap. This should help status effects such as fear and Mending Aura (MNK) be more effective. • Mob health has been re-scaled with nightmare, hell difficulties in mind. • The death experience penalty has been adjusted. There is no penalty for dying on normal mode, but it still applies on nightmare and hell. • Maximum resist values on magic, rare items have been boosted to be more generous across most item types. • Resist status effect properties (stun, fear, etc) can now appear on some rare items. • Boosted the life leech damage on Sanguine Harvest (SHD). • If applicable, your title will now appear on your stat sheet. • Rings, amulets, and charms can now do a new value clustering distribution where spell resists, added spell damage, enhanced spell damage can accumulate individually and to all types. When this happens, the tooltip will list all resists' cumulative values separately. • Fixed the mana regen on clarity. • Slightly eased the cost of spells and skills after skill level 3.

Thanks to completing the localization and quality of life goals on the Nevergrind Online roadmap, we have been able to focus on adding nightmare and hell difficulty missions. We have made a ton of progress very quickly and it is currently being tested on our beta branch right now.
For the most part, testing has been smooth! The part that takes the most work is itemizing all of nightmare and hell. I do not expect that the game will be 100% itemized on Friday, but subsequent updates will continuously add items as they are completed. Even in its current states, the items available are already much more powerful than what is currently available in the game. See you on Friday!
