"THE NOXX" FREE DLC RELEASED!
Hello everyone!
THE NOXX free DLC is now live! Here are the features that it comes with:
* NIGHTSIDE is now a four races RTS
* players can now play against 2 AIs and/or ally with an AI in VERSUS AI game mode
* added "free for all" game mode in VERSUS AI
* added 2 more 4 players maps
* added 2 more music tracks
* added "formation move" functionality - groups of units of different types will now move at the speed of the slowest moving unit
* improved UI
* added tutorial mission for The Noxx
* a lot of gameplay improvements and bug fixes based on the community's feedback
NOTE 1: this is a free DLC - the game will update itself, no need to activate it in any way
NOTE 2: players who tried the unofficial DLC builds can now switch back to the main branch by going to LIBRARY > right-click on NIGHTSIDE > Properties > BETAS > from the drop-down select "NONE - Opt out of all beta programs" > CLOSE

Our first free DLC for Nightside will be released early September and these are the main additions to the game that it will bring:

PATCH 1.0.2 RELEASED!
Hello everyone! Our second patch for Nightside is now live! Here are the fixes that come with it:
* units will now always execute the attack or move commands (no more "rogue" units)
* a double-tap is now required in order for the camera to zoom on an units control group
* Missions "Retaliate" and "Conquer" made easier on Easy AI
* Nova Predator price is now 140 in the "The Nova" mission as it is in the rest of the game
* fixed an issue with YX buildings that made them teleport on short distances when issued a move command
* fixed an issue with units sometimes building forever when pausing the game
* YX cell price adjusted to 50 in all game missions
* fixed an issue with the YX Mastermind teleporting when selkected together with cells and issued a "hold ground" command
* YX Guardian structure HP increased from 500 to 650
* Human Protectors will now always detect and attack the enemy
* fixed an issue that prevented transporters to carry Human units in the "Alliance" mission
* YX air units no longer can dismantle over unpassable terrain and so resulting in dismantled cells loss
* fixed an issue that allowd selecting the same unit using CTRL more than once
* fixed an issue that prevented creating more cells when the maximum number was reached
* mouse is no longer trapped inside the game window in windowed mode
* made the double click on a unit/building more responsive (for selecting units/buildings of the same type)
* added a special .bat executable for people running the game on Integrated Graphics video cards and experiencing rendering issues

NIGHTSIDE PATCH 1.0.1 IS LIVE!

Our first post release patch (version 1.0.1) is now live!
Here are the fixes/changes that come with it:
FIXES
* fixed an issue that occurred to some players that prevented advancing past the 1st Story mission
* fixed crashes and gameplay issues that occurred on certain Linux versions
* fixed a crash that occurred on Windows in the initial loading screen
* fixed the positioning of quick select buttons - they are now visible in all situations
* fixed an issue that made certain buildings/units to teleport to their initial position when using the "hold ground" command
* fixed an issue that sometimes made the Story missions quest to display debug text
GAMEPLAY
* Easy AI has been nerfed (it now extracts fewer resources, it will not attack with air units in early game, it takes more time to build units)
* improved the "quick select" buttons (the ones located next to the minimap) graphics to better reflect their role
* added a message in 2v2 Multiplayer Lobby that informs the server host that he can switch player teams by dragging player names over other player names
* the Nova buildings will no longer deselect when lifted
* camera will no longer zoom to a control group when directly pressing on that control group's number
BALANCE
* YX Dominator cost increased from 7 to 8 cells
* YX Dominator HP decreased from 600 to 480
* YX Recon speed decreased from 4.8 to 4.1
* NOVA Predator cost decreased from 180 to 140
NIGHTSIDE FULLY RELEASED!

After a 7 days Greenlight campaign and 4 months of Early Access we are proud to announce that NIGHTSIDE is now FULLY RELEASED!

We want to thank the community for such a great feedback that surely helped us build a better RTS! The Full Release comes with graphics improvements, performance optimization, smarter AI, balancing changes and lots of bug fixes.
Although Nightside is now fully released this is definitely not the end of updates for our game. We plan on regularly releasing new content for the game and players that will finish the Story mode will surely guess what the first big update will be about. As usual if you find any issues with the game don't hesitate to post them on the forum and we'll release fixing patches asap!

NIGHTSIDE UPDATE 9
Hello everyone!
Nightside Update 9 is now live!
This is the last update before going out of Early Access into Full Release next week. We're still aiming for a Tuesday, 4th of August for release but if we find issues that take more time to solve we might delay a day or two.
So here are the most important changes that come with this update:
* STORY MODE COMPLETE - all 14 missions and cutscenes are final - yes we said that we're going to keep the end of story for release but why not give it a few days earlier (and trust us, there's a big surprise there!)
* improved AI - the AI now uses abilities
* 2 new 1v1 maps (both are large size)
* follow mechanic - right-clicking on a unit while havin other unit/units selected will make them follow that unit
* improved visuals in most of the levels
* added the option to toggle on/off the vertical line visible under air units

Nightside BETA is live and here are the main additions that come with it:
STORY
* Added Chapter III (4 missions - Human) - ALL STORY MISSIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE
* Made a lot of improvements on the previous 9 missions
* Improved the pre-mission narration screens
* Added difficulty options
MULTIPLAYER
* Added 2v2 mode with 4 maps available
* Added CO-OP vs AI mode with 4 maps available
- this mode can also be used to play single against 2 AIs
- this mode can also be used as player+AI vs player+AI

* Added 2 new maps - large and medium
* Tweaked the AI difficulties
OTHER
* Re-worked all menus
* Added re-searchable defensive abilities for Nova Mothership, YX Mastermind and Human Fortress

* Added queued basic units commands (move, hold ground, attack ground)
* Added small symbols on the production icons that show what the unit is capable of attacking (air/ground)

* The camera zoom speed can now be adjusted in the Gameplay Options menu

NOTES:
* this is our biggest update since we launched on Early Access so there might be issues that we overlooked. Please report any of them on the forum and we'll get them fixed ASAP
* now that we are feature complete with Nightside we will now concentrate on bug-fixes and improvements until the final release on the 4th of August, so expect 2-3 more updates before the game fully releases

UPCOMING NIGHTSIDE BETA AND FINAL RELEASE DATE

Nightside Beta is just a few days from release. That means that the game will have all its features implemented with only bug fixes, optimization and improvements remaining for us to work on. We also established the final release date for the 4th of August. Here are the main additions to the game that will come with the Beta:
* all Story missions along with all the cutscenes and narration (though we'll going to keep the end of the story as a surprise for the game's final release)
* Story difficulty options and lots of missions tweaking
* 2v2 multiplayer with 4 maps available
* CO-OP vs AI multiplayer
* multiplayer matchmaking and ladder system for both 1v1 and 2v2 games
* 2 more 1v1 VS AI/multiplayer maps
