News on release date
Megadomers!
Nightwolf Team here with a post we really hoped we could avoid writing. Long story short, we are moving the launch date of the full version of Nightwolf: Survive The Megadome from the originally announced May 28th to June 11th. Read on for more details!
As we ramped up the production of the game at the beginning of this year, our prime directive was to finalize all of the existing features and the highest possible level of polish. To achieve that end, we had created a strict but realistic schedule which we were able to follow rather closely, making us feel confident about the May release date.
Just a taste of some of the new content we are currently polishing
However, as the day grew near, we realized that we won’t be able to deliver everything we promised at the level of quality that you deserve. There’s still a bunch of loose ends to tie together as well as a lot of feedback to address and being a very small team we just know we won’t be able to do all of it by May 28th. The game is technically ready to launch but with two additional weeks, we will be able to polish existing content and deal with all remaining technical issues that you brought up in your feedback.
And so, with heavy heart, we are moving the release date to June 11th, 2019. Please accept our apologies. We are very sorry to have disappointed you but vow to make sure that the final release will fulfill all of your expectations regarding quality and then some.
See you in three weeks!
The biggest update yet is here!
Megadomers!
Drop whatever you’re doing, put on your helmet and grab the wheel because our biggest content update yet is finally available to play and enjoy! This is the last major release before the full launch on May 28 so any and all feedback is in high demand. For details on what features we are introducing, check out our most recent dispatch, or better yet, just fire up the game and see for yourself!
As we told you back in February, this update comes with a slight price increase that we feel better reflects the breadth of content on display. Please be advised that another price change might accompany the release of the final version of the game, which will feature thrilling cutscenes, redesigned achievements, new voice acting and sound effects as well as a plethora of graphical improvements. You should also expect a lot of technical improvements and careful balance tweaks based entirely on your response to the current version of Nightwolf: Survive the Megadome.
Watch this space to be up to date with what we’re cooking and have fun wrecking fools on the blood-covered arenas of Megadome!

IN THE WORKS #6: Approaching the finish line!
Megadomers!
In this dispatch, we will share the release date of the final game, as well as describe some of the new content to be found in the upcoming patch. Read on for details!
First off, we are overjoyed to announce that the full release of Nightwolf: Survive The Megadome will launch on May 28th, 2019. It took more time than we anticipated but the finish line is finally in sight! However, you won’t have to wait nearly as long for the next major update, which will become available within the coming weeks.
As we mentioned in our most recent dispatch, the upcoming patch will introduce the intended game flow, allowing you to reach a number of different conclusions depending on your performance. Before you take a place on the podium though, you will need to face two all new factions!
The terrifying Glowers come from the gloomy pits of refinery ward 234-B. Due to being exposed to the toxic fumes of Unoctanium, the wonder fuel of the future, they developed psychotic tendencies and became both savage and ruthless. As Megadome’s oldest contender gang, they are here to stay... unless you can do something about it!
Fists of Vostok are a group of ex-military personnel, gone into private entertainment sector. Originally coming from the frigid swaths of Siberia, riders of the Fist of Vostok are veterans of the infamous Alaskan Campaign. After the Seattle peace accords and the amnesty that followed, some of them decided to stay stateside and try their luck in Megadome.
But that’s not all! Even if you manage to best both the Glowers and the Fist of Vostok, you will still have to face the ultimate challenge. Not to tip our hand too early, but rest assured that the final battle will get personal! We can’t wait for you to experience that in just a few short weeks... See you then, Megadomers!
IN THE WORKS #5: News on what’s cooking and upcoming price change
Megadomers!
Welcome back in the faraway future of 2019! Today, we bring you an update on what we are working on, what’s coming next and news on the final release date. Fasten your seatbelt because we’re about to put pedal to the metal!
First off, we spent the last couple of months planning the journey towards the full release and working diligently on crucial game features. Having gained a clear view of the remaining work, we can now confidently say that we will be able to share the final launch date in early March. One thing we can say for certain is that you won’t have to wait long!
Currently, we are focusing on finishing up the core game loop. Our next major release will become available next month, finally allowing you to play the game from start to finish and become the champion of the Megadome! Before you get there though, you will have to face two brand new enemy Factions. Stay tuned for more information on those in the coming weeks.
The next release will come with a price increase. It is not a decision we made lightly, but after careful consideration, we came to a conclusion that the current price point does no longer reflect the value of the current version of Nightwolf: Survive the Megadome. If you still haven’t bought the game or would like to get it for a friend, you still have a couple of weeks to do so at the price of a cup of coffee. Once the next update is released, the cost will raise ever so slightly, but we are confident that the features we added since our Early Access debut and the ones planned for the upcoming release fully justify the change.
We can’t wait to share more of our plans with you very, very soon. Thank you for being with us up to this point and keep an eye out for more development updates as the finish line draws nearer.
See you soon!
Content update 0.4.3 out now & development follow up.
Megadomers! We prepared something to keep you busy this Holiday season – a fresh content update! Furthermore, we wish to give a statement on our intended release window. Read on for details!
Content update 0.4.3 brings the following new features:
Explore and fight on a brand new arena – Industrial Wasteland! Watch out for flamethrowers and wear a hard hat at all times!
Marvel at the brand new HUD! We spent a lot of time bringing the art style of the new HUD to the visual quality of the rest of the game and we hope you will agree that it makes a world of difference.
Experience the new lighting system! The game now uses dynamic shadows that bring out the detail and simply make things look better without noticeable performance drops.
Enjoy the many bugfixes and stability improvements. Dozens of under the hood enhancements make the game perform better than ever before.
Last but not least, we want to share our plans for finishing the game. It’s December already and despite our initial hopes of releasing the game this year, we can now clearly see that it will be impossible to reach the intended level of quality and breadth of content in those few short weeks. Having taken all options into considerations, we made a tough call to delay the full release of the game to the first quarter of 2019.
We fully understand your disappointment and pledge to do everything in our power to regain your trust. Hopefully you will agree see that each update marks a noticeable improvement. To make sure that production goes according to plan, we have welcomed a sixth member to the team. This person has over ten years of experience in the video game industry and will be serving as our producer in addition to helping us put the finishing touches on game design. Please expect more details at the beginning of the next year.
We all wish you the best for 2019! As always, till next time!

Megadomers! Update content is here!
Before we get into details, we owe you an apology. We have really missed our update cycles as of late. Reason for this, as we are slowly gearing towards the final release, we have also started to work on several features simultaneously and started experimenting, and as a result, our production pipeline suffered. We had many too many tasks open, and too few of them were finished. We are hoping now to deliver content in shorter time intervals.
We are happy to introduce you to new game mode – Arena Master. This is a quick horde mode in which you have to survive as long as you can. No upgrades, one life, one car, one arena. The best few players will have their steam nicknames featured in the in-game arena scoreboards for all the other players to see! This mode will also feature its own separate leaderboards.
We are introducing a new faction – the enigmatic Cyborgs. Little is known about them except for the fact that they have access to better hardware, and depend more on shields than physical robustness to survive. Approach with caution!
Finally, there’s something new for the arsenal. We are introducing a devastating short range weapon – the flamethrower. Roast your enemies for glory!
The visuals have been revised a bit, to better convey that VHS spirit of the world’s most popular TV show – The Megadome.
Also, there’s a hefty amount of bugs that have been taken care of.
Take care, and see you next time!

Nightwolf: Survive the Megadome gets an OST!
Megadomers!
As you may know already, Nightwolf is getting an official soundtrack!
Some of this is a result of a lucky coincidence, but mostly due to how an awesome human being NIGHTRUN87 is. He's the artist behind those sweet tunes in the game. Since the beginning of Nightwolf project we never have thought we will be getting an A - grade music for the game, yet here we are! Nightwolf: Survive the Megadome will have updated soundtrack on the final release, so if you don’t want to wait, you can buy the entire album on the 1st of October on iTunes, Amazon, Bandcamp and Spotify. For die-hard retro fans, limited physical copies (CD’s and compact cassettes) will be available. To stay up to date on this topic, simply follow the artist!
IN THE WORKS #4 - New game mode, new faction, car modifications and more
Megadomers! We hope you are having a great summer!
As usual, we are shedding some light on the progress of the game and where are we at.
Since summer is in full swing, some of us have gone for a long-awaited vacation, so that somewhat slowed down the progress of the game. But, fear not, lots of cool stuff is coming to Nightwolf: Survive the Megadome.
We want to start adding the rest of the intended mechanics to the game, and here’s what we have in store:
Car mods – car modifications, will be unlockable perks that you will find later in the game. Every mod you find is stored, can be swapped and exchanged at your will. Most mods will provide either a small bonus of a given feature or more powerful ones, will be counterbalanced with embedded penalties.
Master of the arena mode Master of the arena will be a quick horde mode in which you will try to survive as long as you can. No upgrades, no store, one life. This mode will have separate leaderboards, and the top player will have his steam name and avatar displayed in-game inside the arena for all other players to see!
New faction As we have said earlier, more baddies are coming to the Megadome!. We will be introducing a new unique enemy faction!
Since this update will make significant changes to the gameplay that will require a lot of testing – and tuning, we anticipate that we will not make it within our usual 5-6 week schedule, and expect to ship next (this) update at the end of August/beginning of September.
Till next time!
