What comes next ?

I'm currently working to add a parkour mecanism to the game. The transition between a 2D terrain and 3D terrain involve to add some new stuffs and rework :

Description :

  • A logic of foot placement on a non-flat surface compatible with the ball control system.
  • The 3D status display attached to the character is also a problem, it can be obscured by a 3D object. I couldn't make it so that it was only occluded by moving 3D objects (ball and characters) without sacrificing game performance. So I finally decided to adjust the height of the display.
  • The same goes for the VFX of the ball area, which was not suitable for non-flat surfaces.
  • In a complex map, the ball could be hidden by various elements of the world. So I added the possibility to see the ball even if it is hidden.
  • I added a direction arrow when the ball is not in front of the camera.
  • Finaly ajusting verticale torso rotation when punching.
  • You can see this in the video but I have to improve the netcode prediction system.
  • Next will be about climbing, vaulting with also a new map with new sounds (metal, wood, ...)

Update v0.31 - Shoving and Flying Tackle

Add new actions :
- Shoving : If you are fast enough, the pushing action (long press on punch action) becomes a shoving action, but if you are too fast, it becomes an American football tackle.
- Flying kick : you can now do a flying kick by pressing jump and tackle button.


Improvements :
- The ragdoll have been improved for clients in multiplayer games.
- Increased punch damage and also health recovery.

Update v0.3

Add a new action :
You can now dive to stop the ball or your opponents. It's the same button as when you want to tackle someone but this time you have to take a lateral direction.



Minor fixes :
- Players in grab stance almost take no damage when attacked.
- Steam player name sometime sometime fail to load.
- Reducing scoreboard luminosity
- Wall transparency was activated by other players.
- In match menu didn't disappear properly.

VR integration (Update V0.29)

VR integration :
After 2 week I finally manage to set up the first version of the game compatible with Virtual Reality headsets.
I had to transform the screen interface into a 3D interface, now all menus are drawn inside the virtual world and not directly on the screen.
VR also needs a full controller support, so you can now control the mouse pointer with your controller (even if you don't use VR).
The drawback of this update is a reduction in the quality of the interface due to anti-aliasing.

Critical bug :
"Popolingas" reported me a critical bug in multiplayer, clients weren't able to move.
I wasn't able to reproduce the issue probably related to high ping or loading time. I have made some changes but if the problem persists, please let me know.

Minor improvements :
- VR camera stabilizator (reduce headset vibration)
- In VR mode, the 1st Person key is the VR recenter key.
- Add key (B) to switch between VR and screen rendering at anytime. (The game auto detect VR only on game launch).
- Camera shake can be disabled in the option menu (in case of motion sickness)
- Improved clinch sucess rate
- 4 players mode (2v2)

Note : You need again to reset your keys binding for those who already have launched the game before.

This update may introduce new bugs, so let me know, I can't improve the game without you ...

Update V0.28 : First Person View

You can now play the game in first person view, it's harder but funnier.

The early access of No Fair Play is now open !

For the release of the game some elements have been added like the possibility to play 5 vs 5 and the automatic addition of bots. If you have any problems feel free to contact me on Discord or Steam !

Game upgrade and pre Beta

Since the last alpha test, A lot of new features have been implemented :


  • A new locomotion system which allows you to move in the 4 cardinal direction without changing your orientation.
  • A new ball control system that makes easier to take control of the ball.
  • The reactive ragdoll system to give a more natural behaviour when the character fall on the ground.
  • An improved network code that reduces lags.
  • A rework on AI and here is a video of this work :

Ball Control System

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I've communicated about the game. It's because I'm working hard on a system to control the ball. Here's a little youtube video :


I have also deactivated all alpha keys for two reasons:

The first one is that half of the keys have been hold by resellers. I don't blame them but it doesn't allow me to have feedback to improve my game.

The second one is that the last improvements can't be tested yet. I don't want the old version of the game to be presented as the current version.

But don't worry there will be a new alpha and I will provide new free keys. You can also ask on discord if you miss the giveway.
