I've been hard at work adding thrilling updates of NO RELOADING: Survival Trials. Experience enhanced gameplay, thrilling new features, and crucial fixes for an unbeatable stylish rogue-lite experience!

🎮Streamer Mode Enhancements🎮


  • New Viewer Commands: Enrich your streaming experience with a range of new viewer commands like spawning skeletons and applying buffs to enemies! Answer the streamer mode trivia questions in game to learn all the commands!
  • Viewer Votes: Viewers can now vote to spawn hordes, drop rare weapons chests, disarm Roger, reload Roger's guns, despawn all nearby weapons, and much more.

  • Crosshair Status Indicator: Stay informed with a new crosshair showing the state of reverse projectiles, gunslinger, gun-kata, shoot dodge, cartwheel, and more.
  • Shortcut Teleporters: Access later episodes faster with new shortcut teleporters, making your journey through the trials more dynamic. Kill bosses to gain the teleporter keys!
  • Enhanced Run Stats: Track your progress with best, last, and average stats tracking.

  • World-space Controls Update: Improved the display of left and right controls text for better clarity.

  • Throwing Mechanics: Adjusted maximum throw power to prevent throwing through walls.
  • Keybind Text Updates: Fixed an issue where keybind texts weren't updating upon changes.
  • Skeleton Animations: Resolved floating skeletons issue to ensure natural enemy movements.
  • Camera Polish: Finally fixed the forever-old looking up/down spin problem!

The Difficulty Shake-Up Update

We're shaking things up! Brace yourself for more balance, more control, more variety, and yes, new difficulty levels! Here's a speedy rundown of what's fresh:

New Features


  • Choose Your Battle: Normal, Hard, and Brutal difficulties added - get ready to choose your own adventure!
  • Brutal Mode Mix-up: Campaign order shuffled in Brutal mode for the ultimate variety spice!

Balance


  • Cooler Guns, Cooler Rules: Miniguns are rarer, but tougher, and with a ramping fire rate for that added drama!
  • Enemy Spawns: Now a bit less hectic in Highway, with brighter street lamps for better avoidance.
    Reinforcements Pull Back: Enemies less likely to spawn while you grab those upgrade orbs.
  • Augment Chances: Auto-scavenger augment boosted - finding this gem is now easier!

Polish


  • Roger Chats More: Now our favorite bot gets chatty when his weapon breaks.
  • Upgrade Choices UI: Sleek new look for easier navigation!

Bugs Squashed


  • No Self-Inflicted Damage: Your sword can't hit your shield anymore, phew!
  • Fixed Projectile Overload: The minigun only shoots one projectile per shot now, as it should!

🎖 The Ultimate Survival Trials 🎖


We've overhauled the Survival Trials for a more challenging and gratifying experience. Say hello to distinct chapters, each ten levels deep, ending in intense boss fights. Journey your way through themed chapters like the Proving Grounds, Ancient Times, and Modern Times. Face off against ferocious enemies as you delve deeper into each chapter. Oh, and did we mention, there’s a heap of new rooms like the epic Castle, and the majestic Greek Temple? 😎

Get ready to face the hordes! Enemies are now smarter, diversified, and more relentless. Heavies join the fray with extra hit points and resistance, dropping double the loot. Watch out for rampaging minions, including the fearsome mouse bot, with heightened senses, and, rumor has it, they have learned how to search for you! 😱

We have had an epic many weeks with the help of the G.Round crew, streamers, and players beating the bejeebers out of the evil goblins!

Additions


  • Tutorials now primarily appear in the new shooting ranges.
  • Added acid containment room, requiring super jumping.
  • Added lobby with laser defenses, requiring sliding.
  • Kicking now acts like a throw. Kicked enemies can be aimed with the crosshair, and will deal damage when colliding another enemy.
  • Added Focus Upgrade, increasing accuracy when using manual bullet time.
  • Higher difficulties are now unlocked in meta-progression.
  • Stunt abilities now are more likely to show up early game.
  • Added posters to the goblin compound, including references to many of the streamers who have supported and enjoyed NO RELOADING!
  • Roger now speaks about ambushes.
  • Roger now speaks about moving to the next floor if the player stays too long on one floor.
  • Roger now mentions he must have a free hand to use Reverse Projectiles.
  • Roger will now speak about using shoot dodge and slide to increase accuracy when dazed.
  • Players may now disable tutorials in options.
  • Players can now choose which shoulder the camera will follow in options.
  • Added more phrases to the giant tips before each level.

Changes


  • Increased healing on kill's chain bonus.
  • Wrecking Ball now heals five hit points per item destroyed, opposed to one.
  • Decreased points necessary for meta-progression upgrades.
  • Rerolling upgrades now is less likely to show the same upgrades.
  • Increased pistol and stun gun ammunition counts.
  • Upgrades that increase healing on kill are now labeled in green.
  • Battle music more likely to trigger.
  • Foundry is more common, but only shows up after level five.
  • Super Jump now says to hold the jump key.
  • Goblin scientists will no longer respawn.
  • CRT effect in options now states that it only impacts the user interface.
  • Keybinds belonging to upgrades are now labeled in options.
  • Increased size of "Hold [ESCAPE] to skip" text, and made it larger.

Fixes


  • Looking down in normal play no longer makes Roger spin.
  • Can only start gunslinger if there is a target.
  • Goblins should not be able to get stuck under the stairs in the Command Center anymore.
  • Resilience upgrades are no longer kept after death.
  • Lava (and acid) will no longer spawn particle effects forever at the origin.

Meta-Progression


Meta-progression in NO RELOADING focuses on aesthetics and convenience upgrades, not direct power upgrades.
  • Points earned each run can be used to purchase meta-progression upgrades, that stick with you on all future runs. Further reason to be stylish!

  • Until the upgrades are unlocked in meta-progression, they can also appear as normal upgrades.
  • Health Sensor: Adds a health bar over any enemies you look at.

  • First Person Mode: Allows you to enable first-person in options.

  • 3 Choices per Upgrade: You will be given three upgrade choices instead of two.

  • 4 Choices per Upgrade: You will be given four upgrade choices instead of two.
  • 3 Rerolls per Run: Are can reroll your upgrades three times per run.

  • 6 Rerolls per Run: You can reroll your upgrades six times per run.
  • Longer Reach: Can be bought as a meta-progression upgrade.
  • Read Ammunition: See exact ammunition counts of weapons you are holding and on the ground!
  • Lanyard: Hold key without occupying a hand. Also automates key pick-up.
  • Compass: Innate knowledge where the exit is.
  • Roger-Time Not Required: The first upgrade no longer must be Roger-Time.
  • Second Arm: Grants your second arm immediately.
  • Steady: Increased accuracy recovery when crouching.

Upgrades


  • Scavenger: Pressing your reload key automatically picks up nearby ammunition and adds it to the weapon you're wielding. This upgrade now requires you to have your second arm beforehand.
  • Auto-Scavenger: Roger will automatically reload his weapons when nearby ammunition sources. No free hands necessary!
  • Lucky Magazines: Each weapon Roger picks up has full ammunition.
  • Extended Magazines: Each weapon Roger picks up can hold 50% more ammunition.
  • Wrecking Ball: Each prop destroyed in the environment heals Roger for 1 HP.
  • Glorious Kick: Kicks insta-kills near-death enemies and heal Roger for 25 HP.

  • Tactical Shooter: Increases accuracy recovery when crouching. Heal after 10 seconds of no damage.
  • Slide: Automatically slows down time when looking at an enemy while wielding a ranged weapon.

  • Extended Slide: Doubles the duration of slide.
  • Infinite Slide
  • Roger-Time: Now limited to five seconds of manual bullet-time. Sorry LoiseLives :-P. BUT, it can be upgraded in different ways!

  • Extended Roger-Time: Ten seconds of manual bullet-time.

  • Vengeful Roger-Time: Earn manual bullet-time on kill.
  • Gunslinger: No longer has a charge up time. Instead, it has a cooldown.

  • Super Throw: Now knocks out opponents.
  • Additional Dash Charge
  • Decreased Shoot Dodge Cooldown

  • Speed: Increases Roger's speed.
  • Ridiculous Speed: Increases Roger's speed again.
  • Ludicrous Speed: Increases Roger's speed yet again!
  • Resilience: Increases Roger's health at the cost of speed.
  • More Resilience: Increases Roger's health at the cost of speed.

Tutorialization


    Player is now taught to combine shoot dodge and sliding to earn more healing on kills.
  • Player is now taught to shoot dodge or slide while dazed to regain accuracy.
  • Player is now taught to get kills with shoot dodge.

  • Giant tips at the start of each level, informing player to use particular stunts more, how to heal, and more.

  • All upgrades now state whether they can increase your healing on kill when used.

  • Heal on Kill combo user interface show will display a dialog reminding players to combine stunts when low on health.


Polish


  • A big red animated X now appears when killing targets. No more confusion whether they're dead!

  • Heal on kills numbers at top left now animate when increasing.

  • User interface text for wielded weapons now animates when picking up new items.

  • Roger now speaks about items being shot out of his hands.
  • Roger now speaks about bumping into enemies.
  • Goblins now react more intelligently: space out more, avoid friendly fire, run away when close to Roger.
  • Ammunition for weapons Roger is wielding is displayed as a percentage, until they get the Read Ammunition upgrade.
  • Knocked out targets now show sleepy Zs over their head, instead of the spinning stars. Spinning stars still appear when dazed.

  • Now provide better upgrade recommendations.

  • Upgrades user interface how includes more information per upgrade, such as cool-down times and more.

  • Shoot dodge, slide, and reroll counts now appear in statistics panel when applicable.

  • Disabled over-shoulder zoom when shooting.
  • Keybindings now show duplicate keys in red text.
  • Controls user interface now says, "Throw EMPTY X," to ensure player knows they can throw an empty weapon, opposed to a loaded weapon.
  • Added several additional "pro tips" on level completion window.
  • Added run points beside level points on level completion window.

  • Increased size of contextual control prompts.
  • Distinct New Game versus Continue Game buttons in main menu.


Fixes


  • Fixed poison stew objective not triggering in Mess Halls.
    Fixed bug preventing some goblins from shooting consistently. End result is that all goblins shoot more often now, and are less likely to deal friendly fire!
  • Tactical dual wield and gunslinger can now target through doorways.

  • Tactical dual wield and gunslinger can now target through broken glass.
  • Tactical dual wield and gunslinger now function even when shoot dodging, sliding, or performing other movement stunts.
  • Tactical dual wield will no longer "control" Roger's guns after tactical dual wield has finished.
  • Can no longer shoot your own guns or your own projectiles.
  • CRT filter option was not applied to all scenes.
  • Less likely to dodge through walls.

G.Round Updates for Demo

Clarity


  • You can now kick, even if there are no targets nearby. No more, "why does the kick button not work?!" even though it actually was technically working...

  • Progress toward finding Roger's dog, Duke, is now displayed at the end of each level.

  • Tactical dual wield now requires having a second arm first. Kinda hard to dual wield without two arms!
  • Scavenger now requires having a second arm first. Again, kinda hard to scavenge ammunition if you can't hold a gun and ammunition at the same time!
  • Score pop-ups now say "HP" if the kill helped heal you. For example, "+10 HP" if the kill healed you 10 hit points. Otherwise, if you're already at full health, it will simply say, "+10." Also, increased the size of all score pop-ups.

  • A Roger-wielded bonk stick now deals more damage, ensuring new players don't think that the bonk stick isn't working.

  • The first few levels, Roger cannot be stunned by stun guns. New players were overwhelmed and confused by all the goblins armed with stun guns, making Roger annoyingly drop his weapons all the time!

  • The red kill marker on the crosshair is now substantially bigger!


Polish


  • You can now reduce, or shut off, the CRT filter user interface effect in options.

  • Substantially increased legibility of all text.

  • Key cards can now be spotted as long as you are in the same room as the key card, even if they are obstructed by debris. This should reduce the likelihood of you having no hint via the objective arrow as to where to find the key.


Bug Fixes


  • Fixed issue where on-screen prompts did not show the correct keybindings.

  • Fixed bug where the "get dog food" objective was not being properly cleared in the city prologue.

  • Glass shattering was not using the right sound volume mixer, and thus was louder than other sounds.
  • Fixed bug where it said the permanent lanyard was unlocked, when in actuality it was first person view that was unlocked.
  • Fixed initialization bug that occurred when running the game with the Turkish language.
