[p]Regarding Normal, Hard, and Expert levels have been rebalanced.[/p]
[p]Reduced wave time/room duration.[/p]
[p]Hardcore will remain challenging, we don't want to loose that Ragnarok essence.[/p]

[p]As you climb the tower floors, the weapons you collect will appear at a higher level.[/p]

[p]To celebrate Steam’s Summer Fest, just as last year, we decided to brighten up Vanaheim and turn it into a beach party! From today until July 15th you’ll be able to play Summer in Vanaheim. This will not change playability, as it will be summer cosmetic skin. [/p][p][/p]

[p]You can also enjoy seasonal relics! Please notice that themed relics will appear more often than regular ones. On that note, you may disable the Summer event on the Settings panel if you prefer to play regular runs. Update v2.0.4 DLC - Balancing and fixes

Balancing and fixes
[p]This update will focus on balancing Normal, Difficult and Expert and a few touches of Hardcore. Next week we will focus on Hardcore and Endless.[/p][p]Here are the changes and fixes we’ve made:[/p]
[p]The rarity of weapon stat upgrades now depends on their level. This means that at level 1 they will grant common upgrades, at level 3 they will grant rare upgrades, etc.[/p]
[p]As you climb the tower floors, the weapons you collect will appear at a higher level.[/p]
[p]The ultimate ability is now upgraded on specific floors: 11 and 31. If you use a shortcut, this upgrade is still obtained.[/p]
[p]The experience curve has been adjusted. Now, every time you increase a character's level 50 times, the level upgrades increase in quality.[/p]
[p]You can disable the automatic opening of stats when leveling up. You can open the panel at any time by pressing the F key /select button.[/p]
[p]Meta-progress corruption has been significantly reduced. Upgrades that improve stats no longer increase corruption.[/p]
[p]You can accumulate level points without spending them and then use them in the level-for-gold exchanger in Gnöki's room (unlocked in Helheim).[/p]
[p]Item's price cannot exceed 99 gold due to inflation[/p]
[p]Any character can use a shortcut door as long as it has been unlocked in the meta-progression.[/p]
[p]Scroll has been fixed in the constellation.[/p]
[p]When defeating a boss, weapon upgrades do not count as a level-up, but rather as a bonus upgrade.[/p]

v2.0.3.1 - Minor patch
Hello Vikings!!
Here is a small update that fixes a couple bugs reported and brings minor improvements:
The curse "The burden of greed" wasn't undoing its effect after completing a challenge room.
There was a possible crash occurring while playing Lorcan.

Today's update focuses on improving the +50 floor Endless experience, along with some fixes and changes based on your recent reports.
Changes and Fixes
In Endless Tower mode, starting from floor 51, the pacing will be smoother. Items and XP will now remain on the floor after completion, allowing you to pick them up when you choose. Floor transitions have also been improved. Some balancing related to XP and enemies has been applied.
Rankings and Endless leaderboards in the Skada Tower are now correctly displayed and fully functional.
All users who were not receiving their full shards upon resetting the tower should now receive them properly.
We've changed how shards are granted: they will now be added after a run is completed (either by conquered or defeat). If you had a saved game but you decide not to Continue it, the shards you collected during that run will be added to your total once you start the new run.
Various fixes and improvements related to Deities.
Curses are now properly deactivated when exiting a challenge room.
Improved Czech and Brazilian Portuguese translations.
Other general fixes and improvements.
* The macOS version will take a few more hours. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Here is a patch fixing some issues you reported, including the loss of Yggdrasil leaves that many of you were reporting.
Once you get all the relics from a character's constellation, no more constellation rooms will show up.
We have changed Ascension Crystal's rooms so they'll appear even if you don't have any relic to ascend.
In some cases, Lili's Yggdrasil leaves weren't being added while launching the game. Those of you who were reporting missing leaves should get them now back.
Some UI corrections.
Other minor fixes.

Today we're releasing another update that brings several changes and fixes. We're constantly reading your comments, reviews, and suggestions, and we know there's still work to do before everyone can fully enjoy the DLC. We won’t stop until we get there!
Changes and Fixes
Damage will no longer increase as you progress through the tower (it was being increased every 10 floors). It is now exclusively linked to corruption. Corruption Level 1 will increase damage by half a heart, and from Level 2 onward, it will increase by a full heart per corruption level.
Other buffs granted to enemies by corruption have been adjusted.
Enemies will no longer spawn near the player character.
When a boss dies while casting attacks, those attacks will stop immeadiately.
The Purification Room will now remove more corruption every 10 floors.
Adjustments have been made to XP generation and enemy behavior in Endless +50. Let us know how it feels!
Fixed a visual bug affecting the display of Masteries XP and Deities XP at the end of a run.
Bosses are now “heavier” and less prone to being pushed, especially while casting attacks in specific positions.
Alruna's skeletons should now stay within the rooms.
Minor text and bug fixes.

We were aware that the Tower difficulty was advanced due to having played so many Ragnarok runs. But we want the overall experience to be positive, so we've made the following changes:
Regarding Normal, Hard, and Expert levels: Reduced health and enemy spawns
Reduced wave time/room duration.
Hardcore will remain challenging, we don't want to loose that Ragnarok essence.
As part of this DLC, if runs feel long, you can always save your progress and continue later.
Our main idea was to make this game mode feel fresh and new, and therefore, we've changed the Yggdrasil meta to the Tower one. However, it's true that you've missed upgrades such as damage, cooldown, etc. We've added new nodes with these stat upgrades.
Other fixes and improvements
New enemy: Corrupt Squirrel 2. This one balances the other Corrupt Squirrel (the explosive one), so visibility improves and you can move around without dying so easily. More of the new Corrupt Squirrels 2 will appear and there will be fewer of the explosive ones.
Ragnar’s and Astrid’s shields are now saved correctly. They no longer reload when the timer stops.
Garth went into die animation when reviving.
You won't face the same boss twice.
Upgrade panels are better displayed.
Hexed Emblen reilc was not unlocking.
Corrupt shard reward wasn't showing properly
Typo mistakes.
Sound improvements.
We will keep improving the game so it feels alive, that's for sure!

In the Tower, KAOS’s banned relics were not being saved.
In the Tower, when playing KAOS, the chosen relics weren't showing in the constellation.
Alpha wasn't applied to Garth's ascended laser.
Shard drop sound added.
When dying with little time left and reviving, you would get stuck in the room.
The Tower's meta progression was blocking some upgrades.
Fixed the Nova unlock bug that should unlock upon reaching floor 50.
You would start the run with your Ulti even if you didn't have it unlocked in the meta progression.
Hansi has been buffed in the Tower by increasing the orb drop chance.
Sindri and Brokr's bug when performing Lili's ulti.
The glossary wasn't showing some of the new enemies.
Raid Shrine areas in the 9 Realms were not working properly.
Some typos have been fixed.

Remnants of Corruption DLC
Welcome to Remnants of Corruption and the Skada Tower. So, without further ado, let’s dive deep into this major update:
This journey will take place inside a dark corrupt tower. Once you step inside, your only way out will be surviving the countless challenges the tower conceals.
Here you will face new enemies and bosses, including trolls, zombies and many more, including those tiny devious rats from Midgard we all loved and hated but in their corrupt form.
Every time you clear a room, corruption will rise. Whenever you are greedy and want juicer rewards, corruption will rise. The motto of this tower is that corruption rises whatever you do. And when corruption rises, the tower also morphs: enemies will become stronger, elites will learn new abilities, you’ll lose hearts easier and doom will absorb you. Well, not really, but kind of. Rewards at the start of each room Every time you enter a room the tower will grant you new upgrades, so you can build yourself up and be a worthy opponent.
Doors – choose your path
Each time you survive a room, you will be able to choose between two (or more?) doors. These doors will grant you a specific reward (hearts, gold, weapons…) once you complete the upcoming room. That way you will be able to choose your path as you wish.
New enemies
You will face more than 40 new enemies and bosses. Find corrupt rats, squirrels, but also zombies, trolls and many more. You’ll see most of them have a basic form and their corrupt one, with new abilities to try and match your power (please don’t let them beat you).
New character! Lili
A tower of corruption? So why not a cute happy girl who loves to hex everyone left and right! But who said cute and happy? Lili will devour all the darkness around her and morph into more terrifying and lethal forms!! She will introduce Dark Hearts and hex-related relics such as her adorable Laser Plushie or minion Tentacles that will make her life much easier clearing the room.
Deities
To join you in this battle, you will be gifted by a deity of your choice to improve your runs substantially. Let’s say you choose Sol, the fire deity. This means, the probability of fire relics will drastically increase, so synergies will be more available. Your deity will also perform a variety of attacks that will get stronger and stronger as you level up both during the run and outside, as you raise your affinity level with them.
New relics
New relics have been added to Remnants of Corruption. Many of them related to the corruption theme that will include a new status effect, hexing.
Skada Tower Metaprogress
Many more levels to complete and make yourself unstoppable. Grab Corrupt Shards during your run and exchange them for powerful upgrades.
Original Soundtrack
We are also really happy to join forces with Rubén Melià, who once again created amazing music for this new adventure! Many kudos for him!
Free extra content for Nordic Ashes
We appreciate so much your love and support and it makes our day when we see you enjoying this game so much, reading your comments, watching videos… We also wanted to add a good amount of extra content for FREE, to enjoy in the 9 realms in addition to the DLC! So here we go:
New character! Garth
Meet our protector guy, the shield man… our favorite paladin… Garth!! Garth will introduce a new kind of heart, the Holy Heart and this will be his only way of surviving, as he won’t be able to grab other kinds of heart. But don’t worry, as he is a cool paladin and has his own healing secrets. Regarding his weapons, you’ll be able to wield his Holy Hammer, Master Shield and many more relics. There are more features related to Garth, but we don’t want that many spoilers :D
New relics
We also wanted to create new relics for the main version of the game, so 30+ relics have been added. These include many fire, ice, thunder and poison relics in addition to relics related to fear, bleeding, gold, crit, and dash.
Artifact rework
Most artifacts have been reworked. For example, the tarot cards now deal elemental damage in addition to the status effect they previously dealt. The gold ring will not only grab all the gold around you, but it will also grant extra gold for you to spend.
Improvements
We also made a few QoL and improvements such as:
Language selection improved.
Skin selection improved.
Relic drops are smarter, being now relics that synergize with your character or the relics you already have.
Chest drops are smarter too. They now only grant you passive stats that synergize with your relics.
Hearts are now sorted in the order you collect them, but red ones will always be displayed first, followed by the rest.
Improved the way enemy damage is displayed (it's now in the pause menu).
Improved UI for Elite and Boss abilities to make them easier to identify.
Game performance has been significantly improved.
Nintendo Switch and PS5
Nintendo Switch and PS5 editions are almost here!! When we started developing Nordic Ashes we would have never believed it would become a NS or PS title with its physical edition too!! This title will be released for Nintendo Switch 1. We may make an adaptation to NS2 but for now, we will stick to the classic edition. As for Play Station, it will be for PS5.
Digital Edition
This edition will include the main game, Remnants of Corruption DLC and the Dark Knights skin pack. Digital NS Edition will be available on the NS Store in a few weeks! PS5 will possibly be available at the end of summer.
Physical Editions
We will be releasing both the single and collector’s edition of the game hand in hand with Selecta Play! The single edition will be the exact same as the digital one, including the main game, Remnants of Corruption DLC and the Dark Knights skin pack. Collector’s edition will include all the above plus really cool goodies, everything encased in a beautiful box.
Pre-orders
Pre-orders will be available on limited quantities for the Collector’s edition. Official release date hasn’t been fixed yet but it will be around the end of 2025. Details about pre-orders in a couple of months!!

DLC Devlog 6 - DLC Price + New status effects

On today’s post we will reveal the DLC price and also talk about the new status effects we’ve created.
Pricing
This DLC will be 4.99$/€
New Status Effects
Hexing: You can find this status effect on Lili’s weapons, new Tower weapons and a Tower deity. Hexing makes enemies more vulnerable so they receive more damage each time you hit them.
Enlightenment: This status effect will be Garth exclusive. Enlightened enemies have a probability of creating a healing orb that falls from the sky.
New potions
The Dark Potion grants Dark Hearts. These hearts apply hexing to enemies when they break.
Extra content
As we announced a few weeks ago, this update will also come with FREE content for the main game, so get ready for another new character and more!
