On today’s devlog we are really excited… because Remnants of Corruption DLC is now ready for wishlisting!! This means that in a couple of weeks (May 10th) you’ll be able to dive deep into the Skada Tower and challenge corruption with your favorite survivors!
Remnants of Corruption will take place inside the Skada Tower, a dark corrupt place. Once you step inside, your only way out will be surviving the countless challenges the tower conceals.
This DLC will come with the following features:
Corruption mechanic: when corruption rises, the tower also morphs, and everything will become more challenging.
Rewards at the start of each room so you can build yourself up and be a worthy opponent.
Doors: choose your path. These doors will grant you a specific reward (hearts, gold, weapons…) once you complete the upcoming room.
Deities. You will be gifted by a deity of your choice to improve your runs substantially
Today we have a new DLC devlog! We wanted to post it yesterday but then we realized it was April fools lol.
New mechanic! Deities!
You will be blessed by a deity of your choice. This way, if you are blessed with the Fire Goddess, for example, more fire relics will appear. This means more synergy possibilities and extra damage from your god or goddess of choice!
Relics
And talking about relics… we went a bit crazy and 50+ relics will be added to the game! Some of them as free content, some of them as DLC content, because on May 10th we want content for everyone! As for this week, we are currently working on these new relics and making a lot of progress in the new characters, so very happy about that!
Porting
Just a couple of hours ago, we watched Nintendo direct and oh boy, everything looks so cool!! And that is why we didn’t want to post yesterday because wink wink, we are also working on some porting stuff that is also going really good wink wink :D More news about this in a few weeks!
Price balancing
We’ve also updated the prices in some countries to bring us into line with average market prices.

Next, we finally have an official release date for the DLC!
DLC Release date
It will launch on May 10th! We’re really excited for that day, and are still preparing content to reach your expectations.
This update will be divided in two parts:
DLC Remnants of Corruption
Including a new game mode, the Tower, which will grant a ton of new hours of gameplay, a brand new character and new relics.
Free content
Which will include more relics, an artifact rework AND another new character!
That way, everyone will have new content to play!
Devlog progress
These weeks we are working on bosses. You will meet mythic Trolls and the Draugr, norse zombies! As you can see, the all have their corrupt counterparts.

Corrupted Enemies!
Last post we talked about regular mobs. But hey, this is a corrupted tower, so enemies will also feel that corruption power and have their evil form too! Here you may see what we’re talking about:
These enemies will have extra abilities such as throwing projectiles, so you are always on the edge of your seat focusing on them.

Welcome to a new devlog about the new DLC “Remnants of Corruption” (still a provisional name, but possible the one!).
Enemies!
Today we wanted to showcase some of the new enemies you will be facing. Regular Nordic Ashes enemies will be joining this new adventure. So expect a few Midgard rats o forest creatures from Alfheim among them too! As rats are one of Nordic Ashes signature enemies, here we have some Tower rats.
Doors at the Tower
We are currently working on the different doors of the tower. Each time you finish a round, 1 or more doors will appear in front of you. Every door will have an icon related to the reward you will find after defeating that room. You will have to choose wisely each time to build your character, heal yourself, earn some extra gold etc.

Hello Vikings! Happy to be back with a new update!
Year of the Snake
To honor the Year of the Snake, we wanted to release this seasonal event.
You will find Muspelheim covered in decorations and its creatures dressed in a festive way.
Also, Hafgrim decided to join this event and is happy to present his Year of the Snake skin! To unlock it you will need to conquer Muspelheim in any difficulty playing as him.
You will find a couple event relics, an egg and a firework, both in Gnöki’s realm and in shrines. The egg will turn into a festive dragon companion that will help you in your battle!
This event will take place from January 28th to February 10th. After that, requirements to get Hafgrim’s skin will change, just as we did with the other event skins. So no worries you will still be able to get it.
Please notice that themed relics will appear more often than regular ones. On that note, you may disable the Year of the Snake event on the Settings panel if you prefer to play regular runs.

New DLC info
Valhalla DLC (Valhalla being its code name, we don’t have a final title yet) will be featuring a tower with many many floors in which you will face a variety of challenges.
Corruption will reign during your journey, so you must pay attention to the corruption-meter. The more corruption, the more powerful enemies will be.
You will face the tower bare handed, no Yggdrasil this time. But no worries, as the tower itself will grant you its powers and will allow you to be infused with its corrupted energy, so you become stronger. But beware, if more corruption enters your soul, more hazards will surround you too.

Lunar Event
Next week we will be hosting Chinese Lunar Event, starting on the 28th, with a new character skin, Muspelheim decorations and enemy costumes so you can enjoy it to the fullest.

Hello Vikings! Today’s release is a minor patch. While developing the DLC, we’ve also fixed a few issues in the main game.
Fixes
Unn won’t be appearing on Daily Challenges for a while. We know she’s a tricky one and decided to tweak some things before we let her rejoin challenges.
Unn’s masteries had a visual bug.
There was a bug related Helga’s cards that were thrown at an incorrect speed.
Some other minor fixes.

Chinese Lunar Year
Chinese Lunar Year will be returning to Nordic Ashes late January, so expect an update about this topic too.

Today we wanted to share a few news about Nordic Ashes.
News about DLC
Placed inside an ancient tower, Nordic Ashes DLC is based on quick combats, around 20-40 seconds, where you will have to wisely choose which items you buy and equip so your build gets stronger and more solid each room you complete.
We will release more info in January, but for now, here's the main screen so you can see what vibe we’re going for.
Porting news
We’ve always wanted to port our game to other platforms, and we are happy to announce that the first one, Nintendo Switch port, is going really well. We will be able to release it around 1Q-2Q 2025.
Steam Winter Sale
Our game will join the Steam sale from today until January 2nd with a 25% off the main game and 10% off for the rest of the items.
