Patch 1.2.0
Preface
This is the season 3 patch which will release later today, and the main focus this patch has been to add the Guild Competitions. Since guild competitions are a major and time-consuming feature, some other features have been slightly delayed, but will be released a couple of days after season launch. The delayed features are: new unique items, the premium essence stash page and guild leaderboards (with guild rewards)
But fear not! Season 3 will have more continuous updates with improvements and more exciting content, including new end-game options. The developer will host a Q&A session on our Discord March 24:th at 16:00 UTC (two hours before Season 3 start), where you can ask questions.
Here's what's included in this patch:
Major - Guild Sieges
- Guild Sieges have arrived! A Guild Siege is a competition between two guilds.
Each participant (character) enters their own arena instance, and battles against waves of increasingly stronger monsters, while trying to defend the center Runestone. The winning Guild will receive points (and the losing Guild will lose points) and climb the ranks of the Guild Leaderboard (released later), where you can claim guild rewards such as new guild badges. This system has been designed to allow for as many matchmaking options as possible, while also allowing players from different time zones to compete together. I plan to expand on the guild points system later on with some guild-wide benefits and leadership choices. You need to be level 10K to participate in a Guild Siege.
* Siege Rounds The Siege creation round starts every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 18:00 UTC, and is open for the selected guild members to join for 24 hours. A character may join a siege once per round. When the creation round ends, the challenge round starts immediately after and is open for another 24 hours. Your Guild has to create a Siege before you can participate in the challenge round.
* Creating a Siege There are currently 3v3, 5v5 and 10v10 sieges available. Select which guild members you want to participate in the Siege this round. You can create as many sieges as you want per round (24h), to allow all guild members to join a siege. Only characters in game mode you select can join the siege (hardcore and softcore are separate). Achieve a good siege result by killing as many high level monsters as you can.
* Challenging another Guild's Siege: "Find Siege" will matchmake your selected team against another guild's created Siege. Challenging participants can then choose their opponent and try to beat their score by joining the battle and killing higher level monsters than the opponent. The opponent siege results will not be visible when selecting your opponent, only their character level.
* How to win a Siege The Guild with the most battle wins against their opponent will win the Guild Siege, and receive a higher reward. Rewards can be claimed in the Guild Siege window by each participant, and are available as soon as all participants have challenged an opponent, or when the challenge round ends. Each participant also gains a loot reward immediately after the battle, depending on how many monsters that were killed.
