Hello everyone,

we have prepared another new update. This is not a huge update, but rather minor repairs and a few details. And it will be a longer period of last update (do not worry we will not end with work on our game (:nipicto: Novus Inceptio is our baby and we fulfilling our dream with developing this game) - we are now full of energy and we work of our game every day).

But why this break in updates?

Since we are preparing big changes and this changes require time to implement and can not be released in small increments.
Mainly it will be a change around the world, the core code, making in the world a lot of other things we need to fix the core - which requires a lot of work.

We are aware that our game has a lot of shortcomings and bugs and many of them are caused in the core, which must change. A long time, we analyzed and reviewed bugs and repair is necessary, but not easy - even when our game is just an early access, it is more complex than it seems, and if we want to achieve our promises and all planned. We need started in time of changes and not try to repair small things.

We will keep you regularly informed here on Steam, about new changes - in few days will be the first information about the main changes, compare their advantages and disadvantages in comparison with the current state of the game.

But do not worry the changes are not such that they would change the logic and meaning of our game - quite the contrary.

We thank everyone for their support, ideas and reporting bugs - although sometimes we are not able to respond immediately and in time - but believe that everything we read it carefully and write down notes.

Below is a list of changes for today's update:

Gameplay changes



  • You no longer need to finalize building components - after addition of raw materials is this building component completely finished.
  • In the settings (Section gameplay) is a new option to disable game mouse sensitivity and used as raw input sensitivity from your OS or hardware settings.
  • Added option to rotate objects while laying on the ground using the Page Up and Page Down (scroll mouse can still be used)


Issue fixes



  • Anomalies - Fixed FPS drop - especially in postapo anomalies
  • POI - minor bug fix for cloning abandoned station
  • Fixed problem with Collider at some objects - causing eventual crash
  • Repairing bad translation in the tutorial when tutorial requires "rope" instead of "twine"
  • Repair placement of items in the Container, if it is a mass placing items - actions "put down all".
  • Improved memory management - when loading raw data items from DB - also affects the disturbance minor lag.
  • Slightly reduced demands on memory.


Hotfix 0.10.018



  • Fixed a problem with the extraction of raw materials.
  • Fixed problem with defining the material during production.

  • Restoring the original work with memory when recording RAW data items from DB - new version caused unforeseen problems, and will be appropriately reviewed.

0.10.016 - Ending Christmas Event

Hello everyone,

so we have a new little update, which mostly ends Christmas event.

Also brings minor repairs, but also a greater and this is a ability to set water quality, we hope that this opportunity will help with crashing games for some players (where a crash caused by water).

Another major update will come this time a little later, as we were worked out many changes to the game and is currently undergoing internal testing of basic elements (whether it will be possible to change implentovat the game) - once we were finished the test, so we will inform you about the new changes that will be implemented .

Gameplay changes



  • Turning off the Christmas event
  • Reduce the required skill for producing beds

  • Option to turn off the dark border around the screen - Settings -> Gameplay section
  • Ability to set water quality - Settings -> Performance section
  • Removed option to disable Help keys on the right side (this feature has not been a long time in the game - it was in settings useless)

  • Fixed some German texts.
  • Fixed problem with opening craft window in some situations.


We are aware of many shortcomings and bugs in the game, watching all yours observations and comments. But repairs are not easy, and for some it is necessary to fix more things around so that everything worked correctly.

0.10.013 - Christmas event



Hello everyone,

first we want to wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2017.
We thank you very much everyone for all the encouragement and support you have given us this year - we much appreciated this - without you, the players - the game would not be where it is today!

This is the last update for this year (if nothing serious happens) - we need a little rest and spend some time with the our family. But year 2017 will be great, we plan a lot of things and hopefully we are able to implement everything.

Well, so what brings the new update, there's not much, but ...

The first is a Christmas event - not as mad as a Halloween event, but it brings new rewards, items and achievements. All is quiet in the spirit of Christmas with just a lighter atmosphere and yes you have the opportunity to build a Christmas tree to your home.

Your new home can also improve with new lights such as lamps and candlesticks on the table or floor, but also on the walls.

Remember, Christmas gifts may contain valuable raw materials such as graphite, gold and barrel Blueprints!

0.10.012 - Next performance

Hello everyone,
last weeks experience was a lot of bugs, that arose by transition project to the engine version 5.4.2, which could not be easily removed.
We spent last week with engine tuning - revert to the latest stable version 5.3.x - but this was not very well possible, because the game itself already contains a lot of new things powered by features in newer engine version. We therefore decide and on the latest version 5.5.0, and we will try to fix the underlying problems.
Some were already handled and some is still under detail look to find a source - especially character jumping up in the air (very sorry for this - we are really searching for fix, but the problem is really very complicated).

Anyway, aside with this update which optimizes many things that we are using, we were able to optimize many other things related to rewitting code due to update.
This all combined means that performance was tweaked up a bit and memory requirements was decreased.

Fix minor bugs - there wasn't too much time to deal with major issues and adding new content - issues with core update took too much time.

Also, we have combined the player's inventory and A2-A storage (only visually into a single UI) - a lot of new players have problems with understanding that there are two inventories. And even some of the players already familiar with our game still have some problems with this.


There is a huge question that we really like to know some feedback related to inventory logic.

There are three options we could go:
1) Leave original version (separate inventories, scales and limitations)
2) Use current version (inventories merged to single window, smaller characters's space, same scales and limitations)
3) Merge both inventories together (physicaly and visualy, unlimited carry limit, only weight of worn items, belt and tools are counted)

Another improvements in this field related to better organization (filtering, search) are planned, we are now doing a first but great step

Performance



  • After a very big trouble upgrading to Version 5.5.0 Unity (at the expense of color saturation game environment).
  • Improving render terrain.
  • Fixed some problems with collisions.
  • Improve the behavior of some parts of the code.
  • The game now requires much less RAM.


Gameplay changes



  • The player's inventory is now merged with the A2-A storehouse (visually in one UI) - still in WIP!
  • Buttons removed for opening A2-A warehouse or player's inventory from the lower part of the two inventories.
  • Visual reduced the number of visible slots in the player's inventory.
  • Reduced coefficient for calculating the maximum carrying capacity of the character.
  • Reduced coefficient for calculate maximum hit points of character (globally reduced)

  • Already it is possible to improve tool - sewing kit.
  • Repair description for player torch.
  • Repairing effect of rain.
  • Removing the light flickering for static torchs.
  • Repairing the Czech translation of the text for some items.
  • The game has correctly remembers the camera view before a death (FPS or 3rd) after a revival character of the camera view returns to the previous view.
  • "Chair - Leather" now requires "Leather pack" to produce.

Hello everyone,

so we have another small update.
Which in turn is mainly repair problems caused by the transition to the new version of the engine + a few other things.

Performance



  • They were repaired all objects in the game (with respect to new issues after the updating engine to new version) - we hope it may help.
  • We made some new interventions in the background of the game for better performance - still WIP.


Gameplay changes



  • Was set restrictions on maximum quality for all items - to 350 = Tier 10
  • Was set restrictions on maximum value for all skills to 350
  • Improvements to tools, weapons or armor has new constraints. If is resulting quality improvements 3x bigger than appropriate skill (Tools = Carpentry / Weapons = Weapon smithing / Armors = Armor smithing / Shields = shield smithing), thus improving the quality of only 0.5 points quality.
  • Maximum enhancement was reduced to 3 points quality.

Hello everyone,

since the update 0.10.006 been a lot of unwanted bugs (mostly caused by the transition to the new version of the engine). We were forced to release this hotfix - hopefully everything will be alright and we really apologize for the inconvenience caused.

  • repair camera position during the FPS perspective - in certain situations there were bad camera position
  • repair felling of trees, in some situations, was not posible to cut down the tree
  • repair material definition After felling a tree trunk
  • repair some collision on trees
  • snow while drinking already adds thirst

  • Changing the model alchemical towers - unfortunately the original model caused many problems with stairs collision.

Hello everyone,

so we have another update that is again focused primarily on the disposal of bugs.

But dont worry the new content will be added soon.

Notice for Nvidia VGA users!



It was found a major problem for owners of Nvidia cards with new driver 375.70. These drivers are doing a problem and the game crashes (its not just a problem with only our game , but it is also reported in other games). If the game crashes and you have this bad drivers nvidia (375.70), so please download an older version of the driver (version 372.54 is ideally, with these the game not crashes).
Sorry for this problem, but unfortunately not on our side - hopefully will be new drivers that resolved these issue.

Gameplay changes & new content



  • The character can swimming in shallow water
  • It is already possible to fill bottles of water in your inventory when you stand near "Point of Interest - Well" - such as "Lone Ranch"
  • Tree timbers put down on the ground already have their new model that represents the type of wood! (Timbers are nice as decoration in front of house;))
  • If there is a model (in game) for the tools, so it has character has in his hand during the action! (Mining, logging, etc.).
