Current State of Development

Dear Players,

It's with a heavy heart that we announce our departure from the game we've been working on for the past 3 years. We've poured our hearts and souls into its development, creating something that we're truly proud of. However, we've come to the difficult decision to move on to new ventures.

During our time in early access, we've had the pleasure of engaging with our community through Discord calls, playtesting sessions, and feedback from streamers. We're grateful for the support and encouragement we've received from you all. However, we also recognize that our game caters to a small, niche market, which makes it challenging to sustain long-term development.

As a result, we've decided to put the game into full release and move on to other projects. While we're proud of the content we've delivered during the early access period, we acknowledge that there were features we weren't able to implement or refine to the degree we had envisioned.

In light of this, we've decided to lower the price of the game to reflect its current state and to make it more accessible to those who might have been hesitant to purchase it at the original price.

Going forward, we'll still be available to chat with you about the game, provide support for any issues you might encounter, and address game-breaking bugs where possible. However, we won't be releasing any more large updates.

Thank you for your support and understanding as we move on to new challenges. We hope that our game has brought joy to your lives, and we're grateful to have been part of your gaming journey.

Update 1.0.0 - Hobgoblins Update out now!

We live in dangerous times.

The goblin forces are advancing now more than ever, and while you're getting better, unlocking new hammers and better structures...

So are they. The goblins have found strong new allies in the hobgoblins. Bigger, stronger, and much badder. Ready to destroy you and all the statues you've worked so hard for.

But hope isn't lost just yet. As long as you've got your trusty hammer and the will to fight, we can still prevail!

These hobgoblins are an addition to the medium and hard modes as well as fully incorporated into the long-awaited EXTREME modes even more challenging than hard mode.

Below you'll find the full list of additions and tweaks in this update.

Features

  • Tribal hobgoblins, which lifesteal a little health back when attacking and passively heal when out of combat.
  • Gladiator hobgoblins, which go bezerk with low health increasing their attack speed and tough skin handeling structures very well.
  • Fistfighting with hobgoblins

Bug Fixes, tweaks, and balancing:

  • Increased performance of fire particles.
  • Falling into thepit in Mineral Mines, and Frozen Ruins now deals a little damage.
  • Reworked medium and hard modes in all levels.
  • Minecart can now be killed with a hammer.


Known Issues:

  • There are still a number of bugs regarding the AI of the goblins, sometimes ignoring the player, glitching, or standing completely still.
  • There are some unresolved issues with a bunch of structures that we will address in the near future.
  • When activating the ability of a hammer, it becomes unholsterable for the time said ability is active.
  • In both tutorials, the statue can't be destroyed by goblins but damage does account towards your score.
  • In the structure detail window, some parameter names are too long and are cut off.
  • In the 'Introduction' tutorial audio is sometimes cut off.

Patch - 0.2.0.3 - Stray Goblins

Bug Fixes, tweaks, and balancing:

  • We noticed a couple of naughty goblins stuck around in the Mineral Mines. They have delicately been 'taken care of'.
  • One of our developers also left a bow lying around somewhere in the Mystical Woods. We do not condone littering, therefore the developer has been dealt with as well. Oh and we also removed the bow from the level.

Known Issues:

  • There are still a number of bugs regarding the AI of the goblins, sometimes ignoring the player, glitching, or standing completely still.
  • There are some unresolved issues with a bunch of structures that we will address in the near future.

[UPDATED] Patch - 0.2.0.2 - Game Breaking Bug In Medium Mode

Bug Fixes, tweaks, and balancing:
- Standard - Medium in The Keep would brick from wave 7.
- Standard - Hard in The Keep would brick from wave 6, these have now been resolved.
- The Final Detonation wouldn't always award the correct amount of score, this has been patched.
- Soul Taker had a visual glitch, showing the particles incorrectly.
- Bloodthirster previously showed very small hammers with the active ability enabled. This has been resolved.
- Minecart can now also be damaged with hammer or bow.

Known Issues:
- There are still a number of bugs regarding the AI of the goblins, sometimes ignoring the player, glitching, or standing completely still.
- There are some unresolved issues with a bunch of structures that we will address in the near future.

Update:
It's been brought to our attention that the game breaking bug in medium mode was in fact NOT fixed. We've now correctly solved the issue and released a new patch. Which can be installed by updating the game.

Sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused.

We're glad to say the nightmare update is live now!

Hi everyone! After a long time we're finally ready to release the first big update consisting of the new Nightmare addition as well as some fixes under the hood (such as a complete redo of the animation system as a setup for the next big update, achievements and metallics!)

NIGHTMARE MODE
After completing any mode, goblins come back haunting you for a much harder, modified level. In nightmare mode each level has a completely different style and feel to it, as well as lower player health, reduced statue duration and 10 SECOND BUILDPHASES!

ACHIEVEMENTS
We'll also be releasing the first batch of achievements!

AND MUCH SMALL IMPROVEMENTS
Features
- Nightmare Mode! After completing a regular mode you can play it again as harder variant with a unique look and feel. As well as 10 second buildphases. Good luck ;)
- Achievements! We've added a bunch of achievements. Try to get them all!
- You can now punch goblins with your right hand as well as your left hand.

Bug Fixes, tweaks, and balancing:
- Updated grades based on score data for more accurate grading
- Improved performance of goblin animation system
- Improved wave generation for better performance
- Juggernaut movement animation speed decreased.
- Juggernaut now carries his weapon on his shoulder.
- Added backline animations such as chanting and looking around.
- Reworked the way metal objects look in the shader.

Known Issues:
- There are still a number of bugs regarding the AI of the goblins, sometimes ignoring the player, glitching, or standing completely still.
- There are some unresolved issues with a bunch of structures that we will address in the near future.
