OTVRD Development Roadmap Update - January 19, 2021



CURRENT:
- Porting over version 1.1.2 to the Oculus Store using Oculus SDK. This will also allow us to create a separate build here on Steam with the option to choose between the 2 builds if you are installing for Oculus. We'll also be applying to get OTVRD on to the Quest Store.

IN PROGRESS:
- Aim Assist. This is already in the works and should be in the next build. We'll make a menu slider :)
- Extra game options. Double-in/out toggles, ATW options
- Cricket vs AI. Scoreboard UI is in progress, basic gameplay logic is there, and AI kind of knows what it's doing... :)
- Multiplayer. We've built the entire game from the ground up with Multiplayer in mind. We'll either tackle this or finish Cricket next. We might flip a coin... any preferences?!

FUTURE DEV:
- Practise Mode. A variety of different practise modes... doubles, triples, Cricket, random wedges etc...
- Single Player Campaign mode. This is an optional thing at the moment, but we think it would be cool to progress through a 501 tournament vs AI.
- Adding additional scenes, dart boards, dart parts, hand skins, leaderboards and achievements.
- Weekly or Monthly multiplayer tournaments! We really, really want to get here asap.

AFTER DARTS:
- Axe Throwing DLC and Archery DLC. You've probably seen the 2 different game modes in the Lobby Scene... once Darts is at a point where we are super happy with it, we'll switch over to Axe Throwing and Archery DLC's.

Update v1.1.2 - January 12, 2021

We've updated the Oculus Touch SteamVR Official controller bindings for OTVRD. You should see an improvement in throwing accuracy when using the following settings as a starting point:

For Oculus Touch:
Throw Power - 1.15
Dart Weight - 0.02
Dart Tilt - 10.0-15.0

Update 1.1.0 - January 11, 2021

On Target VR Darts just got updated with an all new UI, additional languages (Chinese, Russian and Ukrainian), and tons of new features and bug fixes.

Our next big update will include Cricket! It's almost ready... we have the scoreboard and most of the gameplay finished, but we'll need some help beta testing it. Anyone willing to help out, please let us know via Discord and we'll get you a Beta key.

As usual, we'd love to hear your feedback. If you have suggestions on how we can make the game better, or if you happen to find a bug, please let us know in Steam Discussions or in our Discord.

And here's a list of stuff we updated:

v1.1.0 (January 11, 2021)
- Complete UI redesign
- Updated logos and icon
- Added Chinese (Simplified), Russian and Ukrainian languages
- Language localization is now more consistent through out the game
- Added new UI and game functionality, including:

  • Cartoon Hit FX toggle on/off
  • Dart Lights slider, 5 levels (to help illuminate darts on board better)
  • Throw Power slider (velocity slider to customize throw speed). This is a game changer!
  • Dart Weight slider (dart mass adjustment). Works in conjunction with Throw Power.
  • SFX and Music Volume sliders (both now have their own slider in the AV menu)
  • Added new outline shader for ATW wedge highlight indicator

- Dart Cam fixed to right TV. Can cycle through the darts on the board. We'll have a zoom and rotate camera function for each dart soon as well!
- All game scores report on the left TV for both 1P and 2P modes
- Removed small TV
- Added a left-hand wristwatch to tell time. We may add a stats toggle in the future
- Added new Lobby animations
- Updated Controller Bindings for future Dartcam features
- Updated Oculus Touch controller binding to speed up dart release
- Large Player Preference update
- Fixed bug: Winning darts now stay on board until next respawn
- Fixed bug: X01 bust now resets score to hand start score
- Fixed bug: 501 no double in, 301 double in fixed
- Fixed bug: Dart Cam now works with Snap Turn on
- Fixed bug: Dart are lit better when on board
- Fixed bug: Cartoon FX can now be turned off
- Fixed bug: Flight pre didn't save between sessions

WMR Support for OTVRD

Hello,

We are almost complete with a very large game-wide update. New post to follow regarding that very soon.

Re: WMR... At the moment, On Target VR Darts does not officially support WMR. We can't buy a G2 in Canada, bit of a messy situation by the sounds of it. However, the controller bindings will be identical to the Oculus Touch. If someone is willing to create a community binding for the G2, we'd love to hear if you have it up and running!

Here is a screenshot of the SteamVR controller binding page for Oculus Touch. The only thing you may need to play with is the attach and release thresholds for both triggers.



Once we get a hold of a G2, we'll update the game with an official binding.

We've been working hard to get everything ready, and we're almost there!
