On Your Hands Major Release - Founder's Edition

From everyone at Skeleton Studios, we are grateful for the many visitors to Ooblterra, across both OYH and WTO. It makes us incredibly happy to have seen so many of you enjoy your time with this world we all poured our hearts and souls into, to have such a connection to the gameplay, characters, and worldbuilding. Today we are proud to finally release several pieces of major content for On Your Hands, as a sendoff for the property before we move on into our next chapter as a company.

On Your Hands has been updated to Version 5.10 to celebrate the release of the Founder's Edition. In addition to a large set of bugfixes, this update also includes some cool QoL features, like sliders to adjust the intensity of post-processing filters, extended content warnings, and more.

Deluxe Edition Bundle


On Your Hands is now featured in a Deluxe Edition Bundle, which includes:

  1. On Your Hands
  2. Founder's Edition DLC
  3. Official Soundtrack

This bundle can be purchased whether you own the base game or not. Below is more detail on what's included.

Founder's Edition


Purchasers of the Founder's Edition will recieve a short written piece expanding on the world and characters of On Your Hands, as well as the game's official soundtrack. A 30-page aftermath document detailing the fate of Prot after leaving Ooblterra, and also featuring brand new art assets drawn just for this release. When purchased, the files can be found inside the game's local files directory.

Official Soundtrack


On Your Hands' official soundtrack is now available for purchase on steam, either standalone or as part of the Founder's Edition. The soundtrack includes both mp3s and high quality wav files.

Rainbringer's Extras


All owners of On Your Hands are entited to the Rainbringer's Extras, a free DLC including character models, production documents, beta builds, and other various goodies. When downloaded, these items can be found inside the game's local files directory.

Lastly, there's a secret hidden in this update, too. You'll need the code trappedinthecloset for it.

On Your Hands 5.9.5 Released

On Your Hands version 5.9.5 is released, featuring bugfixes, more robust controller support, and some new easter eggs and secrets.

In celebration of release and as part of the Steam Summer Sale, On Your Hands is 20% off!

This is planned to be the last versioned update to On Your Hands for the foreseeable future, other than miscellaneous bug fixes. Thank you all for your support, and we're excited to see you all when Skeleton Studios announces our next project.

On your Hands v5.9 Release

A new version of On Your Hands has released, version 5.9. The update should be automatically applied when you restart the game. The changes include:

-Intro sequence now starts with Skeleton Studios logo
-Addressed an issue with inconsistent data log counts
-Prot is now left handed as god intended (can be switched via the options menu)
-Collecting every power crystal now unlocks the Developer's Console

-Map00: Addressed a few issues with the level select
-Map00: Level select now shows overall crystal count
-Map02: Modified the grabber pickup animation to reflect Prot's lefthandedness
-Map02: Activate prompt is no longer sticky
-Map02: Fixed a bug where players could return to the grabber after loading a checkpoint to break the animation

-Map06: A voice line is now triggered if the player takes the battery from Map08, quits to the menu, and then accesses Map06 via the level select and inserts the battery
-Map08: Slight tweak to address a skip
-Map09: Dying to the Grinder will now permanently enable the Force Field

-Episode 3: Level configuration is now based on the state of your runes instead of the state of which level you just came from
-Map14: Direction change
-Map15: Further tweaks to right side puzzle

-Episode 4: The Codex now lists relevant synthesis bolts and the valid targets for each one. The Codex will dynamically update with the function of each synthesis bolt once the player uses them.
-Episode 4/5 Orange colored magic bolts are now more orange
-Map16: Troopers should perform significantly better when firing
-Map18: Modified the first puzzle to force players to use Indigo-Yellow Synthesis
-Map18: Added a keyprompt for Indigo-Yellow Synthesis
-Map18: Fixed an issue where the player could not interact with the elevator after loading the second checkpoint
-Map18: Blue-Indigo synthesis now has a visual effect associated to make it more obvious
-Map20: Hallway after first Ghost Player puzzle is tweaked to address a potential softlock
-Map20: Second puzzle tweaked

-Map21: Various exploit fixes
-Map22: Final Mack tape now has music
-Map22: Added Credits Sequence
-Map00: Post-game main menu now lets you display the trinkets on the shelf by clicking on the Grabber
-Map00: Post-game level select now allows the player to select a configuration of Map06 and Map11

KNOWN ISSUES
These problems are known internally and will be addressed in a 5.10 patch:

-Level Select Menu lacks controller support
-Codex lacks controller support
-Map11 wire sequence lacks controller support
-Linux users have reported issues with seeing the oxygen meter or tanker meter
-Colorblind option currently doesn't indicate the player's equipped magic

As usual, any issues can be reported and feedback given on the available channels. This is the last major push for a while, as all the devs are going on break, barring some admin work. Of course, we'll still do our best to address any bugs or issues. Thank you all for your continued support.

On Your Hands v5.1

A new version of On Your Hands has released, version 5.1. The update should be automatically applied when you restart the game. The changes include:

-Codex: Addressed various issues
-Map03: Fixed the "Who is He?" Achievement
-Map04: Dying to the Hunter bot should maintain debug step progress
-Map04: Fixed one of the hints not appearing properly
-Map06: Add big red obvious arrow to the battery recepticle by the statue
-Map06: Adjusted the path to Map07 to be more obvious
-Map06: Fixed floating object in police station
-Map08: Added ice stain decals to some puzzles
-Map08: Now more obviously directs the player to return to the city if they grab the battery
-Map11: Addressed an issue where players would sometimes have to restart the level in order to progress
-Map12: Addressed an issue where if the player exits after grabbing the lantern, they would not have it back upon loading the checkpoint
-Map17: Removed a puzzle for the sake of pacing
-Map18: Removed a puzzle for the sake of pacing
-Map19: Removed a puzzle for the sake of balance (this time)
-Map20: Reworked last puzzle
-Map21: Added some direction
-Map22: Reworked final sequence

KNOWN ISSUES
These problems are known internally and will be addressed in a 5.2 patch:

-Episode 4 and 5 Mack lines lack Subtitles
-Data log counts are sometimes incorrect

On Your Hands: Episode 4+5 Release

After finding your way out of the Nameless Temple, you find yourself back at the city. Your companion points you toward the Founder's City memorial, to find the last battery needed to power on the city.



To find it, you'll need to go deep into Xeracthin Territory.

Closer you get to the truth, to finding your friend... will you survive your greatest challenge?

On Your Hands is now fully released, as we feel like we've address and fixed (most) of the major bugs, but as always, any issues may be reported on official channels such as the steam forums, or our Discord server. We'll be sure to address them as fast as possible.

Linux Support Added!

On Your Hands has been updated for native linux support! It's been a long time coming, and we're still working out some of the kinks, so as always, your feedback is appreciated.

This release will be receiving updates at about the same rate as the windows release. If you're a linux user who has been playing the windows build, restarting steam should automatically reset you to the native version.

On Your Hands Update Released

An update to On Your Hands has been released, version 3.2. The update should be applied automatically when you restart On Your Hands. The major changes include:


  • Addressed issues with level select screen not displaying properly
  • Fixed a collision bug in Map12's combination lock puzzle that caused players to fall through the floor
  • Fixed Map11's ambience to loop properly
  • Updated Credits
  • Fixed broken keybinds for inputs added for Episode 3
  • Gallenarma in Map12 will no longer hang out after second encounter

    Issues with the save and load system are currently being investigated.

On Your Hands: Episode 3 Release

You've boarded the alien spaceship and started the engines, but you're not at your intended destination. You find yourself before a strange temple, unlike anything you've seen before in your short time on this planet.



Despite you and Mack's wishes to the contrary, you find yourself forced to enter and see what this place has in store. Are you prepared to face new monsters, solve more puzzles, and master a new magic ability?


This update should be applied automatically when you restart On Your Hands. The major changes include:

In addition to the implementations of Episode 3, Episode 1 and 2 have been updated, featuring a large number of bugfixes, new keybinds, and performance optimizations. Episode 3's content has been added to the level select and main menu.

On Your Hands Update Released

An update to On Your Hands has been released, version 2.3. The update should be applied automatically when you restart On Your Hands. The major changes include:


  • Fixed a bug where "Use Crosshair" option would allow the player to teleport onto walls and ceilings
  • Crosshair no longer appears over hand when stats menu is brought up
  • Addressed an issue where the player being killed by the grinder while in mid-air would cause them to fall through the Map
  • Map00: Shelves for each episode are now textured to match that episode
  • Map01: Crosshair no longer appears over intro text crawl
  • Map03: Platpads now inform the player that their feet are stuck to them when the player first attempts to jump
  • Map03: Fixed collision issue which made it difficult to get to the research shack
  • Map04: Added music
  • Map05: Fixed a bug where harvesting a wanderer but failing to place its corpse down would cause the wanderer to reset upon loading a checkpoint
  • Map05: Platpads will now have a "break water" particle effect like they do in map03
  • Map05: Return path on right side puzzle (orange platpads) will now only come up after the puzzle is complete, as some players thought the return path was part of the puzzle
  • Map06: Street sign added that signifies the direction of the Rainbringer Statue and the Cathedral
  • Map07: Fixed an issue where placing boxes on buttons may allow the player to push them around
  • Map07: Fixed secret puzzle
  • Map08: Shortened the amount of time it takes for ice traps to manually unfreeze during first puzzle
  • Map08: Replaced green press button in final puzzle with a switch and removed the key for the sake of streamlining
  • Map08: Loading the final 2 checkpoints (after solving the final puzzle) now automatically grants the player the sprint totem
  • Map09: Minor map geometry changes
  • Map09: Grinder AI improvements


On Your Hands: Episode 2 Remake

The Ooblterran architects of the Followers Research Division have been hard at work, refining the look and feel of Ooblterra. They've made massive improvements to all the environments you know and love, with special attention and care given to their two research facilities, the Security Bot Factory, and the Research Headquarters.




This update should be applied automatically when you restart On Your Hands. The major changes include:

LEVEL SELECT

Upon clicking "Load Game", you will now be greeted with a new screen that displays your latest save.



Clicking "Next" will bring you to a level select menu, divided by chapters. Previous saves will stick! You can also track your secret crystals found, so happy hunting!
