The time has come and the dreams are coming to life in OneBit Adventure! This update is currently rolling out to all platforms and is packed with many fulfilled suggestions made by the community as well as introducing Necromancer’s 2nd tier profession, Puppeteer! Welcome the 5 new dungeon entrances, 100 new Overworld chunks, Class-based leaderboards, Xp increase, quality of life improvements, and so much more! If you have read the previous post, this will be similar, but more finalized for what you can expect with this update and moving forward.
Necromancer’s New Profession – Puppeteer
Master of control with an army of undead ready to battle and chain reaction potential. Synergy between puppet types as well as being able to use skillpoints to maximize their potential. This profession will prove useful in overwhelming your foes and protecting the ones you summon to do the fighting for you. Transcended form has major changes allowing you to utilize your Extended Reach to deal damage from a far.

Extended Reach Skill
This skill allows you to deal damage in a 3×2 area when using mana to attack and can be used while transcended! In certain cases, you can attack enemies over certain obstacles as long as the direction you are going is not blocked. I’ve reworked transcend so the Soul Survivor profession can now use Magic Range+ while transcended!
New 100 Overworld Chunks
I can’t stress enough of how much of a huge milestone this is. To put this into perspective, Overworld has 50 chunks, but only 30 are used after reaching a low step threshold. Repetition is one of the major flaws for OneBit and 100 new chunks will help fix that tremendously. I’ve also made chunks spawn more uniquely by preventing chunks to repeat by having the level generator go through 50% of the maps before repeating. New biomes will be coming in the next major update which will help create zones in the Overworld map so you can expect more variety and different enemies to appear in those zones.
More Spellcasting Improvements
You can now spam to your hearts content as the ability to re-cast a skin is now possible! This works for any spellcast that uses mana which includes Necromancer’s Beyond the Grave. The sound queue for activation will be muted upon re-casting and you can view how much mana you have on that screen!
5 New Dungeon Entrances
The world is becoming more alive with each new entrance! Caves, Ruins, Castle, Underworld, and Depths of the Sea have all gotten a touch up and will be a new standard for dungeons in general.
Customize Your Skill UI
A huge quality of life feature is the power to move your skills UI to wherever you want. You can make them big or small, invisible, align them, etc. As of now, the game saves portrait and landscape layout separately so you can cross sync and have 2 different layouts between Steam and Mobile.
New Class-Based Leaderboards – No Rewards At This Time
I have decided to hold back on giving rewards for class-based rankings in favor of introducing more unique rewards in the near future. Stay tuned, but for now, you can rank based off your class and see how much steps others are making in those categories.
New Prestige Token
Some love resetting characters to grind back to 100 and others want to grind their character only once. Prestige Tokens are here to provide that option in the premium shop with choices of 1, 3, or 5 tokens and only works for Classic characters. These tokens will only be visible in the Prestige screen and the premium shop. You don’t need a token to prestige. Once you reach level 100, you can prestige for free or with the token to prevent resetting the character.
More Xp and Less Grind for Level 70-100
I can now say the grind isn’t as much of a brick wall than it was before. Normal enemies now give 100% more scaling xp making the level up process in later stages a whole lot better.
Final Thoughts
Thank you for your support and feedback. The 100 new chunks have been received very well in terms of reducing repetition throughout the game. I look forward to the many joys that this update will provide and stay tuned for the next major update as Pyromancer’s 2nd tier profession will be priority and much more professions throughout the year.

Sorry for the delays and inconvenience with the last update. As previously mentioned, different aspects of the save system was not working as intended which lead to certain files not saving completely. I’ve patched up the major issues surrounding it so it should now work as intended with v1.3.203 where spending skillpoints and buying skills will do a full save instead of partial. With all major game breaking bugs out the way, I will push forward to the next big update which is the Necromancer’s second profession and will continue to monitor any issues with save files. All characters should now have a free respec to get back skillpoints that was lost.

Desert Dungeon & Equipment Update
We are truly excited to bring you to the next phase of OneBit Adventure by bringing in so much new content and many more ways to make your character builds even stronger. This update brings a new Desert Dungeon which has a world of traps for you to avoid while you climb higher to go against the new Tremor boss. We’ve added 45 new equipment, 7 new enemies, 1 new boss, 12 new runes, starting HUB, and so much more! Grab some coffee or tea because this is a long one.
New Desert Dungeon
A new dungeon filled with traps to make your adventures a lot tougher than normal, but it is now the only place to get your fill of Smoothies which gives haste upon consuming! This dungeon has 2 sections where the first half is more congested traps and tougher, but the second half is more open desert filled with Cactus to forage. Keep in mind that you must be level 15 for this dungeon to appear.
New Tremor Boss
In the end awaits the Tremor boss ready to spring up from the ground to devour you! Avoid his lunges and poison attacks for a swift victory, but he is a tank! Killing the boss will guarantee a Rune drop as long as you are above 1500 steps. Runes are new powerful relics which we will discuss more below.
7 New Enemies
These new enemies are all exclusive to the new Desert Dungeon for now. They have very unique properties to them so learn everything about them before entering!
Your Starting Camp
Your starting camp can now transform as you explore the world of OneBit! Each character will store who you have recruited in your efforts to travel as far as possible. New dialogue have been added to help accommodate those who previously didn’t. Your starting camp will start off with Wizard Sapius and as you talk with new NPCs, you will get a notification when they are added to your camp. You may notice some new elements which we will go over.
Frank Forger
Everyone, say hi to Frank. He has a story of his own and he will be happy to share it with you once you have found him in the Underworld. You will need a Special Key which is dropped by Cthulhu in the Ruins and I’m sure Morgana won’t mind! Once you rescue him, you will find him in your starting camp and he’ll make sure to build a furnace before you get back. Interact with Frank and he will now be able to put your Runes to good use. Runes are rare relics used to buff equipment, but removing them will destroy the rune itself. If you don't discover Frank by level 20, you will get him and he will give you a story about how he got there!
12 New Runes
After reaching level 15, equipment will start to spawn with an open rune slot and so will runes. Runes have a drop rate of 5% from bosses except the new Tremor boss who guarantees them and drops more the further you go as long as you are over 1500 steps. Some amplify only weapon stats while others only work on helm and chest.
45 New Equipment
Here’s all the new equipment added to the game and it is quite the handful! Some equipment require you kill certain bosses to spawn while others do have rarity and level requires which will all be available in the in-game guide. These new equipment have new stats added to the game and with it, we have provided a description for all of that here. The in-game guide has been updated with all the new stats and equipment so read your guide to understand all you need to know.
Target Practice
Not much in a days work, but sometimes you want to know how much damage you actually do based off different builds. If you have already talked to Shintaro, then you may have gotten a gift of 2 dummies and 1 ranged target. These targets are invincible so they do not break, but have a starting hp of 100,000.
Major Changes
Before we dive into notes, let's bullet point some major changes that does affect your game in a positive way.
We have updated Blacksmith upgrades to cost Coins instead of Diamonds
You now have unlimited revives after running out of Normal Quick Saves
Remove Self-Slow from all weapons that previously had them
Overworld Bosses and Wraith now spawn more frequently. Previously was thousands of steps before you come across them.

You can now skip all upgrades for the current adventure which is very useful once you have maxed out all that you could.
Pushing Shrines for a Future Update
Some may have saw our blog post on our website which said Shrines were coming. Unfortunately, this update had a lot coming so we have decided to hold off on making Shrines so we can better focus on balancing all new equipment. Shrines will be back in a future update with better features. We appreciate all the feedback and look forward to making it better than ever!

4 Year Anniversary Event
The time has come to reap the rewards of the new 4 Year Anniversary event! The update is officially rolling out to all platforms and includes some new additions not mentioned in the previous post. So be sure to read all about it here!
4 Year Anniversary Event
Level up and gain exclusive rewards through this special event by collecting confetti, cake, and popping balloons! There are balloons attached to pillars mainly in overworld and underworld. You can pop them by moving into them. There is a 50% chance for it to drop confetti which you can use to explode confetti upon killing an enemy. Cake can be found in chests as having it on the ground would be a health hazard, but the reward of eating cake comes with healing 100 hp with a 5% chance to become cake itself! We have updated the way VIP Rewards works which now is a range of VIP. Claim Rewards of [Level 1 – 5 with VIP 1], [Level 6 – 13 VIP 2], [Level 14 – 15 VIP 3]. This provides more flexibility as multiple VIP tiers can reap extra rewards.
Attack/Move Modes
Move mode allows you to move without sweeping or using ranged attacks. Previously, this would be impossible to avoid without unequipping the weapon You can now prioritize move over attacking enemies with sweeping and range! A common issue with boss fights while using a sweeping or ranged weapons is the ability to move becomes a hassle as certain situations forces attacks when you need to dodge an AOE. Now you can trigger the bottom left button to move mode which allows you to move without attacking allowing you to avoid AOE attacks.
Referral Codes for More Diamonds!
You can now send referral codes that will reward you for bringing new players to OneBit Adventure! Copy and send your referral code to friends which can be found in the promo code screen. Once they create an account login, have them paste the code in the promo screen and both will be rewarded (50 Diamonds for you and 50 Diamonds for your friend you invited). Claim up to 200 Diamonds by referring new players to OneBit! Referral codes only work on new accounts with less than 4 hours of playtime.
Speedrunners Unite!
Thanks to @IKIA on Discord for setting up the official Speedrun page for OneBit Adventure. It’s clear that OneBit can have a way to speedrun where you race to 1k steps in different category, but now you can track your time more officially. If you use promo code “speedrun”, this will toggle on/off the speedrun timer which starts as soon as you move up and ends as soon as you hit 1000 steps. Using the promo code again will remove it as well as quitting the game.
Next Big Update The next big update is going to be focused on a lot of new and unique equipment. I won’t say exactly how much, but you can expect new elements that will spice things up and create new build types. 2nd Tier professions are in line with future updates as I do want to try to get every class done in a timely manner. Month of September will be fairly quite in terms of updates as I have something new to talk about, but can’t discuss yet. When the time comes, you will be notified.

Dangerous Elites Update v1.3.138
The time is near as we move forward to the next evolution of OneBit Adventure! The Elites are here to bring new challenges to your adventures, but also the new Adventure Upgrades help provide the buffs needed to push your steps to the next level. New boss loot chest along with tons of goodies are in store. Grab some coffee or tea or a smoothie and prepare yourself.
15 New Elite Enemies
Elites are powerful entities that roam OneBit in a way to stop you from going further. The higher your level and the further you go, the more Elites there will be. Learn their attacks to avoid taking damage while dishing damage when they are on cooldown. Killing them will provide equipment of higher grade than normal as well as more xp than your typical enemy! To avoid spoilers, I’ve put all Elite info along with move set to the bottom of this post! Check it if you dare!
New Adventure Upgrade Feature!
Upgrade your adventures to reach your maximum potential! There are 13 new upgrades with some specific to classes that allow you gain buffs for your current adventure. You can hold up to 5 upgrades and increase its tier up to 5 times. Upgrades are found by traveling upwards with a max of 500 steps apart. The upgrades can be skipped if you want to avoid rerolling and wait for the next upgrade goal. Hardcore mode has it more rough as there are no rerolls for adventure upgrades so choose wisely! Upgrades can also be found on the second page of the stats equipment screen. Below are currently all the available upgrades and requirements.
Boss Looting
Normal boss spawns will now drop a boss chest when killed. This makes it easier to get all your loot and press on upwards!
2 New Loot Rarity!
We have extended the reach of new heights by fixing lag past 100k steps and with it, more loot rarity. You should now be able to increase your power further and potentially reach greater heights while not being hindered by cpu power! (until someone reaches 2+ billion damage D:)
Ancient – Loot rarity available at 50,000 steps
Galactic – Loot rarity available at 100,000 steps
Halloween Event Pack Update
Halloween Event Pack is more gruesome than ever! The bosses above now have a variant skin when using the event pack and will be present for the month of October for everyone to fear!
Tier 1 Profession Available at Level 5
To help you dive into OneBit’s class skills faster, the first tier profession is now available at level 5! Since the second profession introduces newer synergy in builds, we have decided to keep those at level 15. One day, we will get 2nd professions for all classes! (just need to work on some new stuff first)

What’s Next?
While I spent a lot of time on Greed, I believe its time to bring some love back to OneBit. Major updates are coming to bring more exciting moments, new discoveries, a bunch of new equipment, and eventually 2nd tier professions! It was tough waiting for new content as progress was coming to a halt, but that wait is no more. It is time to solely focused on OneBit Adventure for the coming months and will be setting aside Greed for the time being. I will be looking for a programmer who has a passion and understanding for OneBit to help work on Greed. Working on 2 projects at once without giving all the love and attention to one or the other was not good enough. For the time being, I will work as hard as possible on OneBit to get the funds needed for a team to work on Greed so help by sharing OneBit and let us grow this community more than ever before. You, the players, have helped with feedback, introducing new players through Discord, and even building content together. Thank you and look forward to more exciting updates!

Most elites generally replace the spawn of their respective normal version, except for Elite Mimic Chest and Elite Flan. Elites have a base chance of 30% to spawn an equipment which can be increased with Ascension and Looting stat.
