Chinese game cluster

Chinese game cluster has been launched! All players from China are moved automatically to new server, it is also possible for other players to manually switch to new cluster in game settings.

Changes for the rating

We are planning several important changes for the rating mode. These changes are based on comments and reviews of our users.

1) Players of the master and champion leagues will not be able to make parties with friends to participate in the rating games. This decision is caused by the strong disbalance of teams and the obvious discrimination of individual players competing for the championship.
2) Equal win/loss rating points for players of the highest rating. The current ratio of 1:3 makes it difficult for individual players to compete with parties of friends.
3) Bots will be added only if there are less than 4 players in a team. New combinations (players + AI) of the teams (2 + 2), (3 + 1), (4 + 0), (5 + 0).

Chinese game cluster

Due to the specifics of the Chinese Internet segment, we decided to create a separate gaming cluster for users from China. By excluding external traffic, we hope to increase game quality and reliability.
Also, the Chinese gaming community will receive its own rating list, where players will not be mixed with outside world.

Transit to new servers is planned in the near future. Until then, the new cluster will function in test mode. Players' data corresponds to the state of 08:00CST 21.06.2017.

Release 2.402: Balance changes, new rewards and new hero announce


Announcement of the new hero: Medic

Rewards for leagues:

  • Bronze - 1 raid box
  • Silver - 2 raid boxes
  • Gold - 3 raid boxes
  • High - legendary weapon certificate
  • Master - legendary skin certificate
  • Champion - 5 raid boxes


Balance changes



  • cooldown of Ion arrester (Khan, Dave) increased from 10s to 15s
  • cooldown of Protective barrier (Khazak) increased from 10s to 15s
  • cooldown of Predator visage (Khan) increased from 10s to 15s
  • reworked Barbed knuckles (Khan), damage increased from 32 to 35, base attack speed reduced from 1.5s to 1.2s
  • damage of Rocket volley (Solomon) increased from 60 to 70
  • area damage of Blast laser (Sigma) reduced from 70 to 60
  • cooldown of Pulverizer (Khazak) increased from 10s to 15s


Other changes



  • due to numerous complaints about the size of new maps, we’ve reworked most of them, reducing the area and removing some hindering obstacles
  • rating penalty is lowered when you lose against a higher-ranked team. Depending on the difference in rating, you now lose less points or don’t lose them at all
  • team balancing is improved, players’ rating now has greater weight during team arrangement
  • now in the interface, when entering the battle, bots and real players are marked differently

New hero: Soldier



Universal long range fighter capable of dealing high damage to remote targets and sufficiently protect himself and the allies.

Rocket volley - Shoots two very fast rockets that deal high damage

Gun burst - Series of gun shots at target direction

Flare - Shoots a blinding flare that reduces enemies' damage

Guardian droid - Places a droid that slows first enemy that comes near it

Prism - Puts a force prism on a ground, which can't be passed through by enemies

Hopping pack - Allows hero to fly at high speed.
First aid - Slowly regenerates health

Force field - Creates a force field around a hero that destroys all incoming missiles

Focus - Increases damage of rifle and Gun burst but makes hero unable to move during the effect

We’re going to keep a close watch on PVP balance and adjust heroes’ parameters when needed.

New PVP locations


We’ve added a new area for each of the game modes, that’s 5 new locations in total!

Amber Cove (drillers capture)


The battle for drillers in caves filled with large chunks of unstudied minerals similar to amber. Dexterity and mobility - only they can help you win and prevent from joining the company of dead insects hardened in stone.

Sunken Shaft (crystal collection)


The once flooded shaft of crystal development was drained again and became an arena for battles of mercenaries. Vertical descents, covered with seaweed and bones of ancient creatures, crumbling ledges - those are additional opportunities to break your neck, trying to get crystals.

Spider Lair (portals control)


It seemed like a good idea to install portals for cargo delivery in the heart of the Spider's Lair - cause "it's just insects". But this was the case when the size played a role - now the giant spiders catch in their networks those who try to withhold the portals.

Azure Mines (sphere control)


Spores of plants in this mine painted the crystals in green. These spores are floating in the air and will eventually turn your brain into a jelly. A great place for a match to control the energy sphere!

Glacial Foothold (capture the flag)


The unknown energy at this place does not allow the ice to melt, and the lava to freeze. Those who manage to take control of both research bases, stealing the enemy's flag, will get a chance to find out the answer to this mystery.

New rewards




From now on, every player can get a certificate for legendary skin or weapon for reaching certain profile level or clearing a planet in the campaign. Those who fulfilled the requirements earlier, will also get this reward.

We’ve also added several other rewards for clearing the planets. Also, one more hero certificate is now rewarded for reaching profile level 30.

Rework of bosses





  • boss mode was significantly reworked
  • boss difficulty levels are introduced, for now only easy and medium levels are available, the hard mode will be introduced in one of the nearest updates
  • on easy difficulty players have to defeat all the bosses one by one, equipment of rare quality should be enough for this
  • on medium difficulty there will be a harder version of randomly selected boss every day
  • it’s possible to fight any boss with a team of any size, boss will be automatically adjusted based on the number of players


PVP matchmaking update



We’ve got lots of feedback regarding matchmaking in rating battles, and we’re introducing several adjustments to it. We hope that these changes will significantly improve your PVP experience.

  • Players are more likely to be matched with other players from their league. However, the more you wait for the match, the higher is a chance to encounter players from greater leagues
  • Minimal number of human members in each team is increased to 3
  • There can’t be more than 1 bot player in each team


Other changes



  • reduced enemy detection radius for such skins as: Shadow disguise (Dave), Impulse armour (Jack), Crusher armour (Arnold), Neurogenic version (Sigma)
  • damage of most machineguns (Arnold) increased by 10%
  • healing amount of Injection reduced from 300 to 250 (Arnold, Aedis)
  • missiles of such weapons as: rocket launcher (Dave), grenade launcher (Jack), slime launcher (Khazak) are made more durable (less likely to be destroyed by enemy bullets)

Release 2.3: new servers and bugfixes

New servers are launched!

Due to multiple requests from our players, we're launching 3 additional servers:

  • Western Europe
  • Brazil (South America)
  • Australia

Former Europe server will be handling players from Russia/Eastern Europe.

Also, we've fixed some minor bugs in bot behaviour in this release.

Release 2.2: bugfixes\balance


  • fixed bots getting stuck on some levels
  • fixed an error which caused Chakram (Khan), Boomerang and Sniper shot (Shaggy) could behave incorrectly when colliding boss missiles and Sigma’s Warhead
  • fixed Dave’s rocket jump
  • improved PVP medkit, healing amount per tick increased from 50 to 75
  • fixed cursor behaviour in the main menu when using a gamepad
  • improved spam detector in global chat
  • fixed an error with readiness confirmation in empty group
  • fixed visual bug with quick clicking through pages in hero shop
  • fixed an error, that sometimes led to game freezing after reconnecting to battle
  • fixed visual glitches in main menu and battle interfaces
  • fixed text display in certain languages
  • fixed an error when sometimes inactive players weren’t kicked from battle


Balance



Shieldmaiden - currently Aedis is the strongest and the most popular hero in the top. We’d like to keep her unique playstyle, but fix a combination, that guaranteed killing of any enemy in almost all situations: Cyberarm + ‘Executioner’ axe.

Changes:

  • epic axe with armor reduction got the effect increased from 10% to 15%, and damage decreased from 60 to 55
  • epic axe with bonus on stunned enemies got the bonus reduced from 40 to 30
  • 'Executioner' axe got its attack speed reduced from 1.5 hit/s to 1.2 hit/s, bonus reduced from 50 to 40


Chemicals (Khazak) - Those are absolutely the best second slot for the Hermit. Chemicals deal huge AoE damage, that can be further increased with certain skin properties. Area of effect and duration are also significant which increases chances to successfully hit multiple targets and creates “zoning” effect, keeping the enemies away from it. We’d like to preserve the control nature of this gadget, so only the damage will be changed, which is reduced from 270 to 180.

Other changes:

  • instant damage of Guardian (Khazak, Skaar) increased from 80 to 100
  • invulnerability duration of Protective barrier (Khazak) reduced from 2.5s to 2s
  • reduced damage of epic knuckles with no critical attacks (Khan) from 65 to 62
  • increased magazine of 'Avenger' machinegun (Arnold) from 30 to 40
  • 'Hellfire' flamethrower got the magazine reduced from 10 to 8 and reload time increased from 1.5s to 2s
  • lowered armor reduction effect of Predator visage (Khan) from 50% to 40%
  • health restoration of Cestus gauntlet reduced from 35 to 30

We received lots of complaints and negative feedback on the floaty and clunky control of character, especially in the air. In this regard, a number of improvements were made.   • the season duration was reduced from 2 to 1 month. Season rewards remain the same
  • rewards for rating matches, practice, and bosses were increased by 50%
  • rewards for daily quests were significantly increased (up to 100% for certain quests). Chance of acquiring quests with higher rewards was raised as well. Also, quests can be accomplished only in rating and practice matches now
  • added daily bonus reward for the first win in rating matches
  • reduced boss rotation period from 3 to 2 days, also the reward was increased from 500 to 600 gold
  • increased chance of getting epic items in raid boxes

  • added option to select a different aim color, it can be changed in the settings

First hero to come: Soldier!


When ordinary mercenaries flee the battlefield, it's time to call for a real galactic special force! Universal Soldier, packed in a full set of light armor and armed with a phase rifle - the master to reverse the course of any battle. Having a balanced rate between speed and protection, he's well suited for both assault and defense.



Guard Droid
The situation on the battlefield can change dramatically and the Soldier must leave his post, setting off to storm the enemy base. Actually these qualities make a soldier a universal fighter.

The Crystoplastic Field
The soldier is a well-balanced fighter for both attack and defense. To defend a location or his team members, he can use his gadget to create the Christopausal Field - it will completely stop the enemy shells and save the lives of the entire team defending the point. Now there is something real to hide behind, like a stone wall. Cristoplastic, to be more precise.

  • improved synchronization algorithm, which should reduce delay for players with reasonable ping
