Patch 5.6.63

Hello everyone!

We will be bringing both EU and US servers offline today to apply a new patch. The servers should go down at 15:30 (UTC+1 / CET) and should be online again in approximately 2 hours.

Edit: Servers are now online.

Keep in mind that this patch will be a lot bigger than our usual patches due to the Lambda Mall rework introduced in this patch.

Lambda Mall:


This patch introduces the complete Lambda Mall, Bad Sector and Lantern District rework. This overhaul is intended to increase the overall enjoyability of these zones and includes among other things:

  • A complete visual overhaul of the locations.
  • Enormous amount of script and quest reworks (keep in mind that the overall story didn't change, just the way the quests are performing).
  • Major improvements to the FPS and overall performance of the maps.

With this patch we will also be moving all players that are currently in Lambda Mall, Bad Sector or Lantern District to their U|Space. This is necessary due to often significant changes made to these areas.

Patch 5.6.58

Hello everyone!

We will be bringing both EU and US servers down today to apply a new patch. The servers should go down at 15:00 (UTC+1 / CET) and should be back up in 2 hours.

Keep in mind that this patch will be a bit bigger due to adding assets for the upcoming Lambda Mall, Bad Sector and Lantern District rework (but will not enable it).

Xmas event:


The patch starts the Xmas event. Several quests and a more festive look of Lambda Mall has been enabled.

Patch 5.6.57

MetaMorph:


The MetaMorph received several changes that improve the overall quality of the feature. You can read more about it here

Quests:


Multiple quests objective number have been reduced. You can read more about the change here. This change affects many quest but most notably:

  • ”Fight the hill” – objective numbers reduced to 10
  • ”Hay you!” – objective numbers reduced to 25
  • ”Ammo” – objective numbers reduced to 15
  • ”It’s good to have wood” – objective numbers reduced to 15
  • ”Stand your ground” – objective numbers reduced to 14
  • And many, many more…

Hotfix #1 (Patch 5.6.55)

Hello everyone!

We will be bringing both EU and US servers down today to apply a new hotfix. The servers should go down at 15:30 (UTC+1) and should be back up in less than an hour. Keep in mind that this update only applies to the server side and thus will not require any downloads.

This hotfix removes the bug with quest items not appearing after interacting with objects or killing NPCs.

Patch 5.6.55

Hello everyone!

We will be bringing both EU and US servers down today to apply a new patch. The servers should go down at 14:00 (UTC+1 / CET) and should be back up in 2 hours. Keep in mind that this patch is not our usual hotfix and will be much bigger.

Event:



  • The Halloween event has ended and all of the event quest givers, bosses and items have been disabled.

Quests:



  • ”Richi28” – Enemy gang members now have correct weapons & Richi is no longer immortal.
  • ”Some more work” – Enemy gang members now have correct weapons.
  • ”Future Robin Hood” – The quest objective now mentions “Upper Bad Sector” instead of just “Bad Sector”.
  • ”The gold mine” – You can no longer return the quest without completing the objectives.
  • ”We were never there” – The quest experience reward has been reduced.
  • A rare bug causing portals to lock before fighting the Celestial Dragon has been fixed.

Maps:



  • Traveling to the Club 101 and Bar Black Room no longer causes endless loading screens.

Mechanics:



  • The speed in which durability is lost has been reduced.
  • Picking up quest items no longer causes FPS issues.

Hotfix #1 (Patch 5.6.54)

Hello everyone!

We will be bringing both EU and US servers down today to apply a new hotfix. The servers should go down at 14:00 (UTC+1) and should be back up in 1 hour.

The patch activates the Halloween content as well as applies a few hotfixes.

Edit: Due to some unforseen issues we need to extend the server downtime by 30 minutes.

Edit 2: The servers are now online. Sadly the Club 101 refused to cooperate on the live servers. This fix should be implemented in the next hotfix. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Event



  • The Halloween event has started. To learn more about it please visit the announcement here.


Quests



  • "Hello, admin?" is now fixed and should complete correctly. Anyone with the quest still active should see it disappear when they log back in and travel to Lambda Mall.
  • The Lower Bad Sector portal is now awarded after finishing the "Hello, admin?" quest.
  • "A new home" now shows the correct area.
  • "Plague in the taxi" received a scripting overhaul.
  • "The bad and the hacked" enemies now have the correct weapons.
  • "Jungle time" should not be available every day.


Map



  • Club 101 (also known as Collector's Edition Bar) is now accessible.
  • The Black Room Bar is now accessible.


Challenges



  • Enchanted Forest enemies had their sight range fixed.

Patch 5.6.54

Hello everyone!

We will be bringing both EU and US servers down today to apply a new patch. The servers should go down at 12:00 (UTC+1) and should be back up in 2 hours. Keep in mind that this patch is not our usual hotfix and will be much bigger.

Edit 2: We've identified the issue with the verfication server. A tiny update was just released (less than 1mb). Sorry for the inconvenience.

Challenges



  • Solo challenges have been introduced. Every challenge in the game can now be completed without a group.
  • Completing challenges now awards loot boxes (depending on the performance of the group / solo player). The loot boxes award schematics but also have a small chance to contain a consumable from the in-game shop.
  • Three new challenges have been added - Metal Oblivion, Fatecross and Research Facility.
  • The difficulty of all challenges have been adjusted.
  • Multiple challenges had their size reduced.

Dungeons



  • Completing dungeons now awards a loot box. The loot box contains schematics unique to the dungeon completed as well as a small chance to award a consumable from the in-game shop.

Group finder



  • The group finder has been optimized from the server side and now works a lot smoother.

Quests



  • Players are no longer able to attack Fredericks in "More, bigger issues".
  • Steelrage should no longer attack other NPC's in "Burning rage".
  • The follow behavior issues in "Smelly humi" have been fixed.
  • The bishop in "Flames of death" no longer requires a special attack to be killed.
  • Several deprecated quests have disappeared from the game and are no longer available.
  • Multiple escort quests had their scripts tweaked.

Shop



  • Costume bundles have been added to the in-game shop.

Miscellaneous



  • The cutscene when arriving in the Secluded Village should now play correctly.
  • Area Quest loot boxes now have correct names and loot tables.
  • Multiple issues appearing on the server side of the game have been fixed.

Maps



  • The Fire Isle portal has been replaced with a correct model.
  • The Dumps in 8Squared received a major material overhaul.
  • Players can no longer fall out of the Clan Land map.
  • Multiple client warnings have been removed and should no longer appear on screen.
  • Minor asset placement issues have been fixed on 8Squared and Mars.

Hotfix #5 (Patch 5.6.49)

Hello everyone!

We will be bringing the servers down to apply a quick hotfix.
Additionally all clients will receive a small update.

Combat



  • The player armor reduction has been reduced by 30%.
  • Enemy NPCs now deal 35% more damage.


Quests



  • "Caladur" - The follow script has been tweaked and should be more reliable now.
  • "The world collapsing" - The waves of enemies should move closer to the player now.
  • "Safe path" - Enemies now have a 40% chance of spawning (instead of 100%)
  • "The swamps" - When running away enemies should no longer move so far away.
  • "Take me to her" - When running away enemies should no longer move so far away.
  • "X'ren vs demon" - The dialog has been fixed and now allows to return the quest.
  • "Lugzu's journey" - The follow script has been tweaked.
  • "The firewall" - The size of the trigger to finish this quest has been increased.
  • "Code breaker" - The entire script of this quest has been reworked.
  • "Way to the camp" - The NPC in this quest should now behave correctly.
  • "Jungle time" - The quest scripts have been reworked.
  • "The gathering" - Sellars has been moved to avoid a small UI glitch when a cinematic started during a dialog.

Hotfix #4 (Patch 5.6.49)

Hello everyone!

In an hour (at 11:30 UTC+1) we will be bringing the servers down to apply a quick hotfix.
Additionally all clients will receive a small update.

Edit: The servers are back online.

Quests



  • "Come Back" - Doctor Kunohara has been moved to a lower part of the complex and should be reachable without any issues.
  • "Hunting the predator" - The dialog has been fixed and now allows for normal progression.
  • "Red castle in cake" - The script for the follow quest has been reworked.
  • "Let's go red" - The chest position has been fixed. NPCs near the quest location should no longer fight imaginary enemies.


Miscellaneous



  • The rebel soldier at the start of the Water Isle was moved to allow interaction.
  • Theor is no longer talking about bacon.
  • Several NPCs in the Mars simulation now have correct names.
  • The dialog typo in Bug World's "Burn it all" was corrected.
  • The dialog typo in Bug World's "Lower Outpost" was corrected.

Hotfix #3 (Patch 5.6.49)

We will be bringing the servers down for a few minutes to apply a quick hotfix.
Additionally all clients will receive a small update.

Quests



  • All follow quests should now be a lot more smooth.
  • "Journey" & "Attacked again" - The quests received a minor overhaul and should now work correctly.
  • "Contract: Bridge" - The portal can now be destroyed.
