We will be conducting a server maintenance on the EU realm. During the maintenance we will be upgrading the hardware of the server (Yay! New hardware!).
The maintenance will start in about 10 minutes from now (13:10 UTC+1) and the servers should be back online in about 1.5 hour.
We will keep you updated if anything changes.
Edit: The server is up and running again. Keep in mind that there will be a small (several kb) patch before you can log in.
Hotfix #2 (Patch 5.6.49)
Hello everyone!
We will be bringing the servers down for a few minutes to apply a quick hotfix.
After the hotfix goes live you will also get a small update to your clients via Steam.

Quests
"What is lost!" - Fixed a typo in the quest objective.
"Digital Invitation" - Typo fixed and changed the area shown in the quest log to the correct bar.
Martine should now correctly appear in the collector's edition bar for all the quests she is required in.
Hotfix #1 (Patch 5.6.49)

Quests
"The corruption" - Now has a lot more quest objects. Making it much easier to complete.
"Gift for villagers" - The quest area now covers the entire zone where quest objects can be found. Additionally more quest object have been added in the area.
"For the kids" - The number of kids required to complete the quest was lowered to two. The kids were also talked to and now should follow the player.
Miscellaneous
The MetaMorph eye modifier typo has been fixed.
Patch 5.6.49
Hello everyone!
Patch 5.6.49 introduces many changes to the current state of the game. Both the gameplay and class experience has been redesigned to provide a much more enjoyable experience.
Due to the number of changes implemented we had to remove all player characters.
Customization
The Metamorph has been reworked. It is easier to use now and allows players a greater freedom and amount of elements on characters’ body and facial features to customize.
The Metamorph now uses a ticket system. There are three tickets that will be made available in the in-game shop after the next major update. The higher the tier of a ticket, the more customization options it allows.
Hints
New hints to various game elements has been added to the tutorial area.
All hints are now accessible through a pop-up menu in the lower right corner of the screen.
All interface windows now have a set of hints attached to them. These can be accessed by clicking the “?” button on the window. This option becomes available after entering Lambda Mall for the first time.
All UI elements should now be unlocked from the start of the game (besides the Clan and Group Finder - these unlock after entering Lambda Mall).
Quest Log
The quest log received a major overhaul and now provides a better overview over ongoing quests.
The log has been divided into three tabs: Active (quests the character has accepted), Available (quests that the character can find) and Area (all the area quests currently active).
Players can now filter quests in the quest log by simulation (game world).
Players can now specify which quests are being tracked using the “Track”/”Untrack” option in the quest log.
Class Abilites
All classes received a full overhaul of their abilities.
Knockback and knockdown abilities now longer cause players to get stuck under the terrain.
The damage dealt by all abilities has been slightly increased across the board.
All movement based abilities have been improved and now also show an error message when a path cannot be found.
Each class now has two stances – damage and either healing or tanking. The stances give the character access to abilities that fit the role.
The second stance unlocks after reaching level 5.
Energizer
Self-healing (by doing damage) has been increased by 5%.
All energizer weapons had their range lowered (20% decrease).
Beam Gun now deals damage and/or heal more often (30% speed increase).
Launcher rockets fly faster (30% speed increase).
Pulse Rifle projectiles now fly faster (30% speed increase).
Energizer Abilities
Stance: Prime Juicer (Level 1) – Enter a damage dealer stance unlocking abilities that focus on that role.
Damaging Capacitor (Level 1 – Prime Juicer) - Place a damage sticky capacitor on the target for 10 minutes. Whenever you use an ability the holder of the capacitor is also affected.
Disconnect (Level 1 – Prime Juicer) - Deal damage to the target and stun it for 3 seconds.
Charge Up (Level 15 – Prime Juicer) - Place a healing over time effect on yourself for 10 seconds.
Close Connection (Level 25 – Prime Juicer) - Disconnects the target making him unable to take actions. The effect breaks when the target takes damage or when 30 seconds pass. Usable only out of combat.
Ping (Level 35 – Prime Juicer) - Place a damage over time debuff on the target for 20 seconds.
Net Reload (Level 55 – Prime Juicer) - Deal damage to all targets near you and knock them back.
Stance: Prime Specialist (Level 5) - Enter a healer stance unlocking abilities that focus on that role.
Healing Capacitor (Level 5 – Prime Specialist) - Place a healing sticky capacitor on the target for 10 minutes. Whenever you use a healing ability the holder of the capacitor gains a healing over time effect for 20 seconds that stacks up to 10 times. You can only have one sticky capacitor up at the same time.
Spark (Level 5 – Prime Specialist) - Heal the friendly target.
Reconnect (Level 25 – Prime Specialist) - Heal the target and yourself.
Surge (Level 35 – Prime Specialist) - Place a healing over time effect on the target for 10 seconds.
Node Recharge (Level 45 – Prime Specialist) - Heal all friendly targets near you.
Net Impulse (Level 55 – Prime Specialist) - Heal every friendly target near you and place a healing over time effect on them for 30 seconds.
Marksman
All marksman weapons now have a larger range (20% increase)
Marksman Abilities
Stance: Prime Shot (Level 1) - Enter a damage dealer stance unlocking abilities that focus on that role.
Debug (Level 1 – Prime Shot) - Place a debuff on the target decreasing its movement speed by 30% for 10 seconds.
Lethargy (Level 1 – Prime Shot) - Stun the target for 3 seconds. When the stun breaks every enemy near the target gets damaged.
Capacitate (Level 15 – Prime Shot) - Charge the current weapon heavy and special attack to 100%.
Entrenche (Level 25 – Prime Shot) - Throw a projectile at target location damaging and rooting all enemies caught for 5 seconds.
Code Expansion (Level 35 – Prime Shot) - Place a buff on yourself increasing the heavy and special charge by 10% every second for 10 seconds.
Stimulate (Level 55 – Prime Shot) - reduce the cooldown of all your and party member abilities by 50%.
Stance: Prime Support (Level 5) - Enter a healer stance unlocking abilities that focus on that role.
Alleviate (Level 5 – Prime Support) - Heals the target.
Regenerate (Level 5 – Prime Support) - Heal the target and place a healing over time effect on it for 30 seconds.
Rebuild (Level 15 – Prime Support) - Heal all friendly targets in an area.
Mending Field (Level 25 – Prime Support) - Place a healing over time effect on all friendly targets in an area for 30 seconds.
Revivify (Level 35 – Prime Support) - Place a healing over time effect on all party members within the range for 30 seconds.
Triage (Level 55 – Prime Support) - Heal all party members within the range.
Assassin
Daggers and swords deal damage in a cone in front of the character. Daggers in a 10º cone, sword in a 60º cone.
Poles deal damage to every target around the assassin consistent with their combat animations.
Assassin Abilities
Stealth (Level 1 – Both stances) - Blend the environment around yourself in order to remain hidden.
Stance: Prime Killer (Level 1) - Enter a damage dealer stance unlocking abilities that focus on that role.
Venom Strike (Level 1 – Prime Killer) - Deal damage to the target and place a Poison debuff on it for 20 seconds.
Poison Vial (Level 1 – Prime Killer) - Deal damage to all enemy targets caught in the area and add a Poison debuff on them for 20 seconds.
Break (Level 25 – Prime Killer) - Disconnects the target making him unable to take actions. The effect breaks when the target takes damage or 30 seconds pass. Usable only out of combat.
Vile Ground (Level 35 – Prime Killer) - Deal damage and knockdown all enemy targets near you.

Escape Artist (Level 45 – Prime Defender) - Free yourself from all stun, root, slow and sleep effects.
Razor Field (Level 55 – Prime Defender) - Deal damage to all enemy targets near you.
Warrior
Warrior Abilities
Stance: Prime Champion (Level 1) - Enter a damage dealer stance unlocking abilities that focus on that role.
Raw Power (Level 1 – Prime Champion) - Deal damage to the target and heal yourself.
Blood Storm (Level 1 – Prime Champion) - Place a debuff on the target for 10 seconds causing it to explode every 2 seconds of the debuff duration. The explosion deals damage to all enemy targets near the debuff holder.
Rampage (Level 15 – Prime Champion) - Deal damage to all enemy targets near you within the range.
Bane (Level 25 – Prime Champion) - Place a debuff on the target for 10 seconds. Whenever you deal damage to the holder it gains a damaging over time effect for a short duration.
Banish (Level 35 – Prime Champion) - Deal damage and knockdown all the enemy targets around you within the range.
Sanguine Curse (Level 55 – Prime Champion) - Place a debuff on the target for 15 seconds. Whenever you deal damage to the holder of the debuff the damage is doubled (can trigger only every 0.5 sec).
Stance: Prime Guardian (Level 5) - Enter a tank stance unlocking abilities that focus on that role.
Dash (Level 5 – Prime Guardian) - Charge to the target and deal damage to it. \you have to be further than 500 units away from the target.
Taunt (Level 5 – Prime Guardian) - Taunt the target forcing it to attack you.
Vitality Slash (Level 25 – Prime Guardian) - Deal damage to the target and place a damage over time debuff on it for 20 seconds.
Impulse (Level 35 – Prime Guardian) - Taunt all enemies near you forcing them to attack you.
Essence Touch (Level 45 – Prime Guardian) - Place a debuff on the target that will heal you for a small amount whenever you deal damage to the target. The debuff lasts for 10 seconds.
Presage (Level 55 – Prime Guardian) - Deal damage to all targets near you. This ability creates a lot of threat.
Gameplay
When resurrecting players now have a lot more health than before.
Using premium resurrection no longer removes bits or SOMA from the character.
The view distance of enemies has been lowered and unified across the game.
The pace of combat has been increased and combat made more dynamic.
Enemies no longer flip their heads in an unnatural way when in combat.
Enemies are now slightly pushed back when damaged by weapons or abilities.
Visual effects on enemy hits have been made more visible.
Trash items have been added to enemies in all simulations. These items can be sold to any vendor for a small amount of bits.
Speed potions and boots are now available in the in-game credits shop.
The eDNA from all enemies has been disabled.
The skill trainer has been moved to a new training area in Lambda Mall.
The training area in Lambda Mall now features training dummies for multiple levels (both for healing and dealing damage).
Several skill trainers have been added across all of the simulations.
Weapon attacks now happen a lot faster and have a lower cooldown.
All ranged attacks now check if they managed to hit an enemy more accurately using the target’s actual model rather than an its approximation in form of a collision box.
Structures (unless a quest demands it) can no longer be damaged and destroyed.
Ranged and melee attacks can be used even without a target.
The bug report button (in the main menu) sends players to a new bug reporting site.
All items now have durability. While in combat the durability of an item will slowly degenerate. If the durability score reaches 0 the item is no longer usable.
The SOMA Forge now allows players to repair their equipment (restore durability).
Buffs now correctly count their duration (even if the character is offline).
Experience, SOMA and Speed buffs (from the in-game credits shop) can no longer stack with varying degrees. The newest one replaces all previous. While you can use an XP, SOMA and Speed Buff at the same time, you can not for example use two different XP buffs at the same time.
The in-game credits shop has been disabled and will return in the near future.
Crafting
The drop chance of schematics has been increased.
New epic quality mods are available in the in-game credits shop.
SOMA multiplication and SOMA drop chance consumables can be found in the in-game credits shop.
Crafting a costume in the SOMA Forge now requires a costume booster. They can be found in the “Get Lucked Up” shop in Lambda Mall.
The SOMA required to craft items now only requires SOMA of three colors (instead of 4).
SOMA Seeds are now available in the in-game credits shop. These seeds can be used in the new SOMA Lab (U|Space).
The SOMAForge is accessible in more zones across all simulations (field SOMAForge stations).
Game World
Bug World, 8Squared, Wood Isle and Water Isle simulation has received a major performance overhaul and should perform much more smoothly.
Additional lighting fixes and optimization have been performed in the Water Isle simulation.
All simulations now have their own unique looking portals.
Main portals in all simulations had their particle color changed for easier recognition.
Many other small tweaks to the rest of the simulations.
The character creation map has been redesigned.
Bug World Research Complex has received a full quest redesign.
Various quest fixes across all simulations.
The quest markers (cups/chalices) had their visibility improved.
The quest objective marker has been redesigned.
The dialog interface is now less transparent to increase readability.
All warrior quest rewards had their amour rating increased by 20%.
Escort quests received an update to their scripts making them more reliable.
The shop error messages now correctly state what was the issue blocking a purchase.
You can now rotate your character in the in-game credits shop.
Several hidden vendors have appeared through the simulations. Each one sells a unique disguise set.
Several traveling vendors have been added to the 8Squared simulation.
Challenges
Three new challenges have been added to the game.
All challenges have been rebalanced.
All challenge levels have been optimized.
