Quick announcement
Today is the big day! Tonight Out Of Orbit Public Beta will be launched. I just want to make a quick announcement before that happens!
Make sure you send all the bugs you encounter via de designated forms or send a mail to outoforbitofficialgame@gmail.com
I'm just one guy making a game and while I did test the game on multiple systems, I need to test the game on many more. I promise I will fix all the baby bugs within the first week.
That's all!
The first major bug fix update will probably happen on Sunday.
Have fun playing everyone and test test test!

Hi earthlings,
Five days left until the public beta is going to launch. I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit nervous. To avoid any misunderstanding, I'm going to explain what the main purpose of this version is.
The Steam-Playtest build:
This version is still unpolished.
Find as mush bugs as possible and mail them via the designated forms.
Suspect "daily" bug fix updates.
This version is unbalanced.
The mission maker is not available.
The starmap is not available.
After this version is stable, this version will always be free to play. Always. For future updates, make sure to follow me intro Early Access.
I'm wide open for community input, better stated, I need community input. Want something to change? Something not working the way you like it? Ideas? Please let me know. I would love to make the game as awesome as possible.
This will be the Out Of Orbit Play-Test version. The main purpose of this version is to let players test the game. Frequent bug fix updates are suspected. Community input will be a necessity to optimize and balance the game. So don't be shy and tell me what you would like to be better, added or removed.
We stay in touch!
A new store page trailer will be published soon!
Also, if not already, please link yourself up to all social media platforms to stay up-to-date.
If you guys have any other questions, i'd love to answer them. Stay good, stay fresh and stay healthy!

Dear earthlings,
I am not gonna lie, I feel sad that I didn't engage as much with you guys as I would like for the last few weeks. Especially because I said that I thought the Play-test build would be done in October. Well, I think you might already have guessed it. Sadly, it will take a bit longer than that.
It doesn't mean that I didn't work on the game though. In contrary, I made some good progress. I actually updated the Steam Store screenshots (you should check them out!). I hope you can spot some progression. Furthermore, I've been busy with minor bug fixes. I let some people play this early version and some game breaking bugs showed up, as expected. Luckily, they are almost eradicated. Next, I've also been playing with more special effects and lightning. I feel confident about them and I like them very much! I have been busy with overall player friendliness. Key bindings, settings, all that sort of stuff. That takes time.
I'm not going to make a promise when the play test build will be finished or when I am confident enough to send it into the big wide world. I know one thing, it won't take long, I am determent, and you will be the first to know.
Thanks a lot people and i really appreciate your time willing to deal with me!

Greetings earthlings, I hope you are doing well!
I'm currently in the last phase before releasing the play test build. The only thing left to do is to make the HUD/GUI compatible with smaller screens. You can scale the HUD to your liking in the game settings. It's not long before I'll announce the release date for the play test build! Keep in touch!

Greetings earthlings, I hope you are doing well!
I was battling some nasty bug regarding the AI "taking" cover system. It took me weeks and several relationships to fight this problem, sadly, to no avail. However, I decided to revamp the entire AI cover system and started back at square one.
Here is the result:
The dark blue squares represent safe tiles for allied forces. The red squares represent safe tiles for enemy forces. When the AI senses danger and/or when the AI senses that he is going to lose the battle, he will try and find the nearest safe tile to take cover.
All in all, this means the Play-test build release date is pushed back a bit. When I'm confident enough about that release date, I'm sure you are the first to know. As for now, my mind is set to the end of August.
Thanks a lot for this!
