Update 1.6.4


Update 1.6.4 is now live

Hello beautiful people.I hope everyone is safe and doing well.

This update was focused on increasing the size of the terrain and making everything look nicer.
The map has been completely rebuilt. The overall terrain is now 10 times larger than before. However, the playable area remains roughly the same. This change was needed to allow more room for places to explore as the game develops further. An example of this is how Hobart now has more houses than the entire game in the previous build.

Also a lot of the models have been remade and the lighting has been adjusted to improve the look of the game.

There are two important side notes to mention.
The first is that your previous saves will not work in the current build. You will need to delete them to be able to play.
The second is that the new build is aimed at higher end hardware then previously. You will need to adjust your quality settings in the main menu.

1.6.4 public test 1 now available

This announcement is because I just wanted to let everyone know that the first test build for update 1.6.4 is now available on the public testing build.

To gain access you need to go into steam under properties and select betas. In the drop-down menu for available betas, you will find the "public_testing_build".

Update 1.6.3 is now live

This update brings with it landscape changes and new items to the world of Outback Survival. My favourite being cricket bats. It also adds the first legendary item to Outback Survival.

Alpha build 1.6.2 is now live. The main focus of this build was to add a cheat menu and a proper attribute system to the game. In addition to the new level up and attribute system, crafting will now have level and attribute requirements.

Dev Branch Testing


Hello Beautiful People
There has been a lot of updates over the past week to the dev branch (Testing Build). There are going
to be a lot more updates to the dev branch over the coming weeks.
There are some pretty big changes coming that will need lots of testing as the work comes closer to a finish.
I am urging anyone who does not want to run the risk of corrupting their game or losing their saves, to please back up your save files or relocate to the live branch (default retail build).
I apologize for any inconvenience this causes. It is just however a necessary part of the development process.
