  • Druid weapon Perihelion's Solar Missile now deals 3 damage and deals +1 to targets above 50% HP.
  • Knife Juggler's Unexpected Detonation now correctly applies Rewind to self.
  • Fixed Forsaken Scryer's Mind Freeze skill FX where it was overlapping with another FX.

  • Now we can see a list of conditions by pressing "F1" key.
  • Rogue weapon Calamity's Ambush now applies Bleeding and Crippled if target's HP is above 50%.
  • Wizard's Blink now correctly applies Fury instead of Precision.
  • Oracle's Life Bond can't be cast to self from now on.
  • Gravekeeper's Putrid Explosion no longer applies Poison to allies.
  • Orc Shaman's Thunder Storm no longer applies Agony on "Miss".
  • Monk weapon Way of the Distant Paths's Energy Blast now has a proper icon.
  • Nomad's Sand Blast, and Desert Spike skills have been boosted.
  • Kirinborn's Charging Strike damage reduced to 4 from 9, its Range increased from 5 to 6.
  • Crystal Archer's Splinter Flash no longer applies Rewind to self but its Range increased to 5 from 4.
  • Executioner's Merciless Torture now deals extra damage to foes "above" 50% HP instead of "below".
  • Bloodseeker's Rupture now deals 2 damage but applies 3 stacks of Bleeding.
  • Bloodseeker's Sever Artery no longer applies Bleeding but removes 1 buff and applies Protection to self if target has Bleeding.
  • Assassin's Unexpected Strike now also applies Confusion but its CD increased from 1 to 2.
  • Sentinel's Arcane Shot damage increased from 3 to 4 and applies Vulnerability, no longer applies Agony on critical hit but its CD increased from 0 to 1.
  • Sentinel's Lunar Blaze now applies Blind(50%) instead of Vulnerability(25%).
  • New Objects for StoryBuilder: OBJFences(6), OBJCatapult, OBJEpic Chest(open, closed, empty)
  • Rain Dancer's Dazzling Totem skill effect improved.
  • Arena enemy count will match the player's party size.

Update 2:

  • Monk - The Course of Nature Guild Ship Unlock fixed.
  • [StoryBuilder]Now we will show the previous dialog's inhabitants if the setting is set to 'DontChange'.
  • [StoryBuilder]Flora drop down is disabled if the encounter has a flora requirement.
  • [StoryBuilder]Fixing the has_key requirement check not working on story builder encounters bug.


Update 1:

  • Reputation progress can now also be made by attacking racial homelands and ships.
  • Arena Gauntlet progress is now calculated properly.
  • Enemy Land Invasion Quests are more rewarding now.
  • Crystal Archer will not attack you on the unlock quest.
  • Unlock requirements should check for companion personas too.
  • Fixing getting missed, hit, critical hit, doing critical hit, character getting pushed, character getting pulled, OnAllyDead and OnFoeDead, number of ships visited counters. Personas that require these counters should work correctly now.
  • Fixing a bug which in rare cases caused a choice with no ending.
  • End game UI will have different art if there are no unlocks.
  • You can skip real end game cinematic.
  • Fixed Goblin Cutter's Daggerfall skill animation.
  • Characters will now speak on the world map screen when they are low on HP to remind the player to feed them.
  • Characters will also talk if the Vorn start chasing.
  • Enemy ship chasing someone (including player) will have a red icon on their heads.
  • Rewards already unlocked by the player will not be rewarded at the end of the game.
  • After unlocking all the classes the end game reward will be something you'll be happy to see.
  • Everking will not be enraged. (He is a cool dude.)
  • Enraged characters will start to move randomly instead of doing all kinds of escape tactics.
  • New story arcs for some encounters.
  • Many other small bug fixes.

Overfall - Build 09/03/2016


  • Damage receive animations of units improved and separated into another layer. They can now move and take damage simultaneously.
  • Armor Piercing, Accuracy, Defence and Critical Chance buffs of Hilt Upgrades have been boosted.
  • Vast majority of condition applying enchantment proc rates have been boosted.
  • Stats of Justicar, Gladiator, Swashbuckler, Executioner, Bloodseeker, Assassin, Shadow Adept have been modified to increase their survival.
  • Stats of Undead Horror, Elf Archer, Elf Trancer, Elf Silencer, Elf Vindicator, Goblin Hexxer, Goblin Blackbow, Goblin Blightmancer, Forsaken Howler, Forsaken Scryer have been modified to decrease their Speed.
  • Stats of Hollow Lizard and Hollow Shark have been modified to increase their Speed and HP.
  • Fixed "Terror and Madness" enhancement's proc rate.
  • The Judge's Radiance skill now should properly remove 1 debuff from allies.

  • The Arena is replayable via Adventure Ships.
  • Stuck on loading cloud because of file reading exceptions fixed.

  • [StoryBuilder] Xml exporter now uses a proper xml exporter. (Fixes save and upload problems)
  • [StoryBuilder] Hexes occupied by party members cannot be used for character placement in the Edit Dialog screen.
  • Stats in the top UI sheet will be green if higher than normal value, and red if lower.
  • Fixed a bug where the day count would be higher than 0 on fresh start of a playthrough.
  • The AI will calculate the damage it will take from tormented if it moves to a better position to attack and act accordingly.
  • Imported stories will now be checked for errors and removed from the game if an encounter in the file has errors. (Normally you cannot upload a story which has errors, this is for hacking attempts mostly.)
  • Modified the videos and video playing engine. It should be slightly better. (this is why the patch is huge)
  • Altar icon for resurrection tutorial .
  • Added back 64 bit OSX support. (It had been removed because of some bug in the engine)
  • The crew of a ship will never have less health than 1, no matter how severely damaged their ship.
  • If somehow somewhere you find a fight with negative health enemies we will fix it for you.

Overfall - Build 03/03/2016


  • Fixed a bug that was causing save game corruption in combat.
  • Fixed a bug where characters would spawn on click in actual playthrough after using the Story Builder.
  • Encounter has to have dialog inside.
  • Combat without enemies will now automatically end.
  • Story builder: selecting a character type will automatically select the first of that type.
  • NPC characters are now neutral by default. They cannot fight no matter what.
  • Story builder Play button will call the loading scene first.
  • Casting a targetAll or targetAlly spell on yourself will not remove hidden anymore.
  • Now it is impossible for characters to appear in the middle of the screen when you return to the main menu.
  • Added an option for bigger UI.
  • Dead guy animation (flying soul thingy) should run smoothly.
  • Now when you enter Story Builder and add some inhabitants to the scene the dialog setting will be changed automatically.
  • Now if a dialog uses the same setting and same inhabitants and it is not directly after a battle, we do not use the black screen fade out. It was very confusing for people. If you want the black curtain just move any of the enemies one hex.
  • Faction Leaders now have a weapon (hidden) to use and animations for combat in future.
  • Retaliation has a new icon.
  • New objects added for Story Builder.
  • Protection's trigger FX improved.
  • Charming condition has additional FX for the spell user (charmer).
  • UI improvement for workshop quests.
  • Glow FX for new unlocks when you enter character selection screen.
  • If we have no unlock at score screen, there is artwork for space.
  • Guardian weapon The Judge's Radiance is now "Any Hex" instead of "Target Enemy".
  • Warlord weapon Bagathur's Seismic Slam is now "Any Hex instead of "Target Enemy".
  • Warlord's Piercing Howl now applies Blind instead of Crippled.
  • Druid's Shroom Diffusion's upgrade now increases Tormented's proc rate to 50% instead of 40%.
  • Guardian's Renewal now also removes 1 debuff.
  • Guardian's Tactical Swap now applies Reduction to target if cast on an ally and now has SFX.
  • Guardian's Shattered Ground skill now has an 80% chance to remove 1 buff from foes.
  • Justicar's Safeguard, Shieldspike, Hamstring and Final Thrust skills have been tweaked.
  • Hunter's Flare skill now removes 1 buff instead of applying Weakness.
  • Fixed a problem where some of the default hero class trinkets weren't what they should be.
  • Following tooltips have been fixed: Monk's Tenacious Discipline, Geomancer's Earth Shock, Gravekeeper's Putrid Explosion & Jawbite.
  • Several missing FX and skill/animation SFX added.
  • Wrestler's and Assassin's missing default personas re-added.
  • New objects have been implemented to the game to be used in encounters.
  • Duration of several Personas tweaked.
  • Volume of several SFX altered.
  • Fixed several missing icons of skills and personas.
  • Several unlock and persona requirements have been changed to be more frequent.
  • Again many other small bug fixes.

01/03/2016 Early Access Release

  • Story builder can now publish to Steam Workshop. You can upload a cover image, add title, description and change log.
  • The game will read encounters subscribed from Steam.
  • Now clicking on an author name during encounter will open their Steam Workshop page.
  • Fixed the random fatal crash on some Windows machines mostly using Radeon GPU.
  • Ship explosion sound FX will now respect the FX slider on the options menu.
  • Pirate ships should show the correct wandering around message.
  • Beating the game will now reward a class unlock for sure (if there is one)
  • Ship tooltips now show the current health of the ship.
  • Story Builder UI elements will grow with the screen correctly.
  • Neutral characters will be saved and loaded correctly.
  • Added back the change display option for Windows.
  • Saving and returning back after resurecting a hero will not cause funny side effects any more.
  • Companion tooltips will give more detail of why we cannot have a companion
  • The upgrades will be removed for sure when opening a new game without closing the game.
  • Now we really restore the upgrades we did from a save game.
  • The battle power UI will not get stuck when hovered over during phase shifts.
  • Vorns will not hunt you down in packs before the citadel is revealed.
  • King will not get stuck searching for the citadel.
  • Vorns will be more careful to obey the jarls and follow them.
  • When the king invades the citadel player will be presented the correct final encounter.
  • Map generation will now create closer number of islands for each flora.
  • There will not be crates in front of the portal.
  • Update on some of the unlock encounters. Balancing them regarding user data and fixing errors.
  • Cannot skip movement phase by clicking the starting hex any more.
  • Now have a 'Skip Battle' button for Story Builder.
  • User stories will now be saved to Steam Cloud so you can start building at home and continue at office!
  • AI skipping phase due to bone pore should not skip the phase twice.
  • Numerous new encounters.
  • Lots of grammatical fixes.
  • Even more random bug fixes.

Design Contest, Wiki and Early Access Price!

Hello adventurers,

As the days draw closer to the launch of Overfall on 1st of March, we are here to announce a Character Design Contest and seek talented contributors from all over the world to have three more characters implemented to Overfall by the winners of the contest.

Sharpen your favorite weapons and prepare to fight! Your challenge, adventurers, is to awaken that fantastic character you’ve buried deep inside your mind, make a contest entry to show everyone that character will be sailing the seas of Dys by winning this contest!

A panel of Pera Games staff members will serve as the judges of the contest and select 25 finalists. The winning entries will be announced at a date around March 15, 2016. Prize packages include not only copies of Overfall, but also drawings of the winning characters featured in quest chains in-game, and Steam Wallet Cash, coupled with numerous Kickstarter exclusive rewards!

PRICING FOR EARLY ACCESS



Overfall will be launched at $9.99 USD during the Early Access period on Steam. For other currencies standard Valve recommended conversions will be used.

Final pricing for the full release has not been determined, but is expected to be between $9.99 and $19.99 USD.
