Week 20 update

It's time for a little update! This week's gameplay changes include:

* Compass/Guide arrow can now be set to point to a "Closest exit" (toggle in Pause menu)
* Added visual feedback for enemy damage

Week 19 update

This week, we added guns and perks to the game. Currently, you can purchase them in the Garage menu, and after the purchase, the item is available for each car you own.
Perks include items such as 'extra life', 'helicopter resistant' and 'mechanic', the latter of which makes it possible to repair damage during gameplay. You can choose one perk at time.
As always, thanks for playing and please post your opinions on the changes and overall gameplay.

WHAT'S CHANGED:
* Added 5 weapons and 7 perk items
* Added visual info for hitpoint damage
* Falling from heights doesn't instakill anymore but gives -2HP damage
* Tutorial made easier: there's now always extra lives and checkpoints to respawn in the Tutorial level
* Minor improvements and bug fixes in UI

Week 18 update

Plenty of the feedback has been notes about overall difficulty in surviving and gaining money, so these are the main things we have been working with lately.

WHAT'S CHANGED:
* Changed car "VAN" price to free and it's also set to default vehicle for the first boot. The van is slower and easier to drive and maybe more suitable for beginners.
* Helicopter is called much later, and it's no longer permanent but goes away after time limit. However, helicopter is called again in the next robbery.
* Cops spawn with more delay and don't have guns immediately
* Successful robberies now give +1 hitpoint
* Upgrades are slightly cheaper
* Cars can now take a bit harder impact damage without losing a hitpoint
* Robbery goal trigger size is increased
* Compass/guide arrow appears more quickly when picking up robbers
* Added support for windowed mode (Settings > Fullscreen)
* Minor fixes such as missing colliders etc.

Week 17 update

First Patch is out! We added two cars, and lots of small tweaks based on your feedback! Biggest update is with aiming, reticle does not disappear anymore. Full list below.

WHAT'S CHANGED:
* Added 2 new cars: "Muscle" and "Light van"
* Added 2 new music tracks
* Added video option for 120 FPS

* Tutorial tweaked
* Cursor/crosshair no longer disappear when mouse idle
* Improved Nudge function when player stuck: added ability to aim nudge direction
* Compass/Helper Arrow toggle moved into pause menu

* Various UI tweaks, such as controller dependant button names
* Various gfx improvements
* Various bug fixes

Some tips and Re: Feedback this far

Just some general tips for everybody playing:

1. Keep moving and know your location!

Learn the ins and outs of Martin's Valley stage! There is lots of shortcuts like jumps and some narrow paths to use. When you pick up people, they say the destination, and after that destination can be read from the HUD top left. Trying to memorize where the general locations are can be very handy. Compass shows the straight with green arrow, but it is up to you to figure out the best route there!

2. Upgrade your car to fit your play style!

Upgrades are very important. Maybe you want to play more like a tank and upgrade your weapons and armor, or maybe you want to have maximum boost ability to get out fast from tight spots. Keep in mind that every car also drives bit differently and some of them can be upgraded more on some areas than others.

3. Try to do long runs!

Every job you complete adds to a multiplier for your current round. 1-2 jobs done wont make much money, but getting around 10 jobs can make up to 15-16k $. This is something we will tweak, but generally longer the run, more money for you!

-----

Thank you also everybody for all the feedback. We have been fixing issues with aiming, menus and other things you have said. Keep em coming. Our aim is to update the game at some point this week, based on your feedback, some things we have noted ourselves and also adding more game content.

Some teaser regarding new cars can be found on our Twitter, bit more agile, but still durable smaller van will probably be in your hands later this week.
