Lets talk Pandemic Train: Leaders and their abilities

Hello survivors!

The release is getting closer and closer, there are still 12 days left. We would like to remind you that there is a community challenge going on in which you can make Pandemic Train up to 15% cheaper at launch!

While you're waiting for THIS day, let's make your time even more pleasant with information about the world in Pandemic Train.

Let's shed some light on the combat phase. We have a lot of opportunities to develop combat techniques. From choosing different sets of two leaders, to the combat technique itself and the items used.

Leader

Each leader has its own unique abilities like Anna's shots stun enemies or Olena's Molotov cocktails explode on a larger scale and deal more damage. However, they all have one common and unchanging set of basic skills. These are:

Super shot

Dodge

Assassination from behind

Special items

There are also special items available to our leaders that are selected for their inventory each time they leave the train. Such an item can give us more damage resistance or enhance our shots with explosions. As you can see, it in the “super shot” GIF.

We are very curious who will be your favorite leader, and what will be your strategy.
Don't forget to mention our community challenge to your friends and take part yourself. As a reminder: the number of followers and wishlist = a % discount on the release.

See you next week!

We cannot guarantee that all of you will be given a key to the game, but you can trust we will carefully analyze all requests. If we choose you, you will receive an e-mail from us - no later than a week before the release of the game.

Remember to add the game to your wishlist and recommend the same to your friends. Lets talk Pandemic Train: Food & liquors

Welcome survivors!

Today we're going to show you a two of upgrades regarding what has changed on Pandemic Train.

Food

The kitchen on our train has been upgraded. Depending on the skill level of the worker or leader, we have more options to choose the dishes we create. Better dishes also mean more benefits for the eater of such a meal. Tastier food means a happier crew!

Specialty drinks

Like the kitchen, the bar has also received new features. Among the liquors served in our private train bar are new “drinks”. However, in order to be able to drink them in it, we have to produce them, of course. Distillery is the module where we will produce these liquors, but as you may have already guessed… Not everyone is able to create a drink that exhibits special properties when consumed. So, just as with the kitchen, in the distillery we need a person trained in this subject.

Until the next one!

Lets talk Pandemic Train: The map and checkpoints

Hello survivors!

As you probably already know very well, we take your comments and feedbacks to heart. So today we bring you information about two things that were suggested to us by you.

Map

The map on which we make choices about the train route has been improved. On the left there is a legend explaining the markings. And when we click on the location we want to go to, we see icons telling us what awaits us in that location.

Checkpoints

When your mission does not go as planned and the leaders die and all seems lost.... with new hope come checkpoints, which give us a second chance to carry out our mission to save humanity better, and hopefully with success. They are distributed in several places in each act of the game. Whether you take advantage of this solution, however, is up to you.

As Henry Ford said: "The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing".

See you next week!

Lets talk Pandemic Train: Items useful in combat

Hello survivors!

We've already written a lot about managing, upgrading and making items on the train. Today there won't be many words, but instead you'll see how the new items we can use in fighting will work!

Let's start with two items that are also special items. Just place one of them in the leader's inventory and his shots will gain special abilities.

Piercing bullets

Bullets that will not stop at the first enemy they hit. They will pierce him and anyone who stands in their way!

Explosive bullets

Projectiles that explode when an enemy is hit and deal damage to nearby enemies.

Stun grenade

The last of the items we will present to you today is the stinker. As the name suggests, it does not smell the best. When exploded, the grenade spreads a cloud of stinky gas that makes enemies unable to move.

Gross...

More frequent articles

That's the end of Pandemic Train news for today, but we also have some good news for you. From now on, developer diaries will be published more frequently. We will announce articles once a week!

See you next week, survivors!

Pandemic Train - Release date update

Dear Passengers,
We're so happy to see you with us on September the 1st. For some people, it's the beginning of the autumn. For others, the most eventful time of the year as more and more games keeps releasing and finally taking up all of your free time. For us, it's exiting because we're closer and closer to Pandemic Train's launch.

Pandemic Train's release date

As some of you might have noticed,

Lets talk Pandemic Train: Workers and Events

Hello survivors!

Let's start by saying thank you to all the participants of the second beta - Pandemic Train for taking part in the testing! We are grateful to you for your involvement and all your feedbacks.

What will you learn about the game today?

Following on from previous Devlogs, today we want to show you what you actually gain from spending meta currencies and upgrades.
In addition to increased resources to start a new journey or more hp, we can upgrade our train crew.

A trained worker will have more options when working on the train, giving us a better chance of survival!

As you can see in the above screenshot - a trained worker produces more for less!
To see which profession a crew member is trained in, just hover your cursor over his icon.

Events

Keeping with the crew theme, we'll also reveal something new to you. While the leaders are fighting outside the train, there is still something happening on the train. When you return from exploring, you may come across a message telling you about some events that happened while you were away.

These events can be good or bad, and sometimes you will have to act on them. It will be up to you to make a decision. Each decision will have consequences, and some may affect future events.

Managing people is not an easy thing to do, and as F.D. Roosevelt used to say:

“It's a terrible thing to look over your shoulder when you are trying to lead -- and to find no one there.”

Until the next one!

Lets talk Pandemic Train: Meta currencies

Hello survivors!

In the last article, we showed you how to improve many aspects in the Pandemic Train through our HQ. Today we're going to talk about the meta currencies in Pandemic Train through which this can be done.

Each of the upgrades to choose from in headquarters has a price. Even here, unfortunately, nothing is free. As you explore biomes, you may come across items of value to collect. Each biome is a different type of meta currency to acquire.

The more an upgrade brings to the game, the more expensive it is and the more meta currency it requires. As you can see from the screenshots, we have as many as 4 meta currencies in the game.

The Craftsman utensils

We collect them in biome one, so this is the first currency encountered in Pandemic Train. You can find it in boxes.

Mycelium

To be found in the swamps of biome two

ATEM Research

They are located in biome three

Beta Fluid

It is the rarest and most difficult to obtain.

Now that you know all about our meta currencies, we will show you how the mycelium was created and what it looks like in gameplay.

Let's talk Pandemic Train: Headquarters upgrades

Welcome survivors!

Messages for Testers

The beta is fast approaching, and there are messages waiting on the emails for selected testers from us, with information about getting into the second beta of Pandemic Train!

Remember to take a look at your spam as well, where our message might have accidentally gone.

However, before the second beta begins, take a look at how the Headquarters functionality has changed.

Upgrading leaders

While in Headquarters, you can upgrade many of the aspects that are important during gameplay. In the barracks, you can upgrade each leader individually using the Pandemic Train meta currency. For the right amount, you can get upgrades such as more space in the selected leader's backpack or his HP or damage taken.

Upgrading workers

However, not only leaders can be upgraded! By approaching different rooms in the HQ, you can upgrade your workers in the various fields used on the train.

Helpful upgrades

However, for people to work for you and for your mission to be accomplished, you also need many non-skill factors...
You can also choose enhancements that give you some help to get started. You will be given different upgrades to select from in different rooms. More food or water to start? Additional items for combat?

You pick what you need!
