We are coming to you with some announcements about the beta tests! You will probably be happy to know that we are selecting 300 people, not 100 as we announced at the beginning!
That's right! You guys are really awesome, and we love your commitment, so we've slightly increased the number of people that are going to participate in the beta tests of Pandemic Train.
Next week you can start checking your email inboxes, where selected people will find keys to Pandemic Train together with a feedback survey. Your feedback and opinion on the game are REALLY important to us, so if you're one of the chosen ones, don't forget to fill it out!
To motivate you, we solemnly swear that the authors of the most constructive feedback will be rewarded with a permanent key to the game!
We wish you all the best of luck! Until the next time!
Pandemic Train: Sign up for Beta and fill the survey!
Welcome community!!!
In the last few days, we have seen a big increase in the addition of Pandemic Train to the wishlist, which makes us really happy!
We want to remind you about the sign-ups for the beta tests and officially announce that we are closing the sign-ups on February 13. This means that you have 3 days left to have a chance to get to 100 people who will get access to the beta!
We've also had a look at your survey responses and your feedback has been really great, so we've decided that we want to give you a bit more time to collect even more of your responses!
Don't delay, as there is little time left! Until the next one!
We come to you to ask to fill out a survey. We have some questions for you regarding Pandemic Train. Is there anything that you think would enrich the gameplay? If so, click and answer the questions, and you can be sure that we will read the answers! It only takes a moment to have an impact on the developing game!
We are giving you one week to answer the survey questions. Don’t delay!
Today's devlog will be dedicated to the enemies we meet while exploring in the open. Let's get acquainted with them!
As for the order of exploration…
Let's start with biome one:
Machos - Large melee gang members are powerfully built howlers with really high strength, but they are not very fast. These tough guys will require the player to fire more shots than the others.
Chicos - with no better prospects than working for the Cerdos gang. Alarmed, they run up to the player at the distance of their ranged attack and fire shots with small arms.
Snipers – They are usually well protected and hide behind cover during combat. They shoot very slowly, but effectively. It's best to get out of their line of fire or try your luck at dodging, otherwise, you won't live long.
Second biome:
Here we will meet a group of Cultists.
Butcher is a fighter, who as soon as he gets close to you will bring out a series of hits worthy of admiration – if only it wasn't aimed at you!
Trapper is moderately suitable for fighting, but this is not the role he plays in this group. His goal is to ambush you! Hiding is what he does best, so keep your eyes open, or he will surprise you.
Hunter, who doesn't like to get his hands dirty in hand-to-hand combat, so will shoot at you from a safe distance with a crossbow, waiting for his tainted arrows to finish you off.
Rats. Slimy rat-like creatures on two legs are not too dangerous, as long as you encounter a single individual. Unfortunately… devious rats attack only in a larger group, and believe me, their teeth and claws will infect you with a worse mess than tetanus.
Third biome
The large Otterbears are relatively slow creatures that jump at their enemies, using their size and weight to fight. The white color is their camouflage, they are not very intelligent.
Volker – Wolves that rely on speed and claws. Better not let them come close. They were created by mixing beta fluid and wolf blood.
Plague Soldat - Soldiers of The Plague were not transformed into animals. Under their masks, they hide faces deformed by their unfinished transformation. They are fighting from a distance.
That's probably everyone by now… Or maybe not?
Until the next one!
Add the game to your wish list to not miss the release!
Happy New Year!
Welcome community!
It's been a really busy year for our team! The Pandemic Train has grown this year, and we are about to enter 2023, where we will all live to see the release! Beta testing is also waiting for us! The year 2023 is going to be an exciting one.
On the occasion of this last and most party day, in front of you is the most party module to build in Pandemic Train. The Bar!
Are you as excited as we are at the thought of 2023? Happy new year, survivors!
Let's Talk about Pandemic Train: Merry Christmas, survivors!
Hello survivors!
The winter atmosphere is embracing us more and more.
Even in a Pandemic Train, winter has no mercy and freezes the train to extremely low temperatures. As Christmas is just around the corner, we've decided to give our crew something to warm them up. After all, what could be better than a heating stove module when you're almost freezing to death, right?
We, on the other hand, wish you to enjoy a wonderful warm Christmas atmosphere with your dearest ones. May your Christmas tree look better than the one from Pandemic Train. And may you receive a gift that will make you smile. Don't let diseases get you down, and don't get off the track! We hope we can all find moments of rest for ourselves this Holiday season. Merry Christmas, survivors!
Unfortunately, our crew doesn’t the opportunity for a long rest, and the plague is giving them a hard time. Once the infection sneaks into your train, take care of your crew and get rid of it! The question of how to do this will be answered by Ela as soon as you pass the first biome ;)
We also have an announcement for you:
Beta tests will be postponed for a few more weeks
You keep asking for the official beta tests launch, and we couldn't be happier with your engagement in the game's production. Your dedication means a lot to us! Our dedication to the project is also enormous. However, it led us to the decision that we needed to postpone the beta tests for a couple more weeks. The reason is simple: after some internal and external testing, we've decided that we want to add more features and mechanics. They will improve gameplay even more and make it more interesting, challenging, and forgiving at the same time. As a result, we want to give you a game that will satisfy both: people who grew up with rogue likes and those who are not much familiar with the genre yet. We also want to have a complete set of localizations for the game. We're finishing up work on the English original localization kit, and then we would probably need another month to have all these texts translated. Therefore, we've decided to move beta tests from December 2022 to Q1 2023 so the lucky 100 people who are invited to test the game can share their feedback on all the features and let us know which of those work well, and which should be changed or maybe even deleted to improve your experience. As you surely understand, it's in the best interest of the game and it's players to have all the features tested first and check what works well, and what doesn't before Pandemic Train hits the market. So, if you haven't signed up for the beta tests yet, and use our Google Form. We will pick 100 people to participate in beta tests happening in Q1 2023, and we'll let you know here when you should check if you've got the invitation.
So feel free to add the game to your wish list to keep up to date!
Now that we can get down to the core of the devlog, we are pleased to introduce you to two special NPCs in the world of Pandemic Train. Ladies and gentlemen: Jacques and Monique !
They are doctoral students from the Secret University, and they specialize in the study of all things living. Biology and medicine are their passions, so it's no surprise that they are now conducting research on…an antidote!
They are also special for another reason. When you meet these two during your exploration, you'll be able to buy some useful items like a first aid kit from Jacques.
Monique, on the other hand, specializes in mushroom research, and grows them no where else but in old and unused… wagons! That's right! Monique is the person from whom you can get an extra wagon for your train!
As you can see, your feedback and suggestions matter! The idea you've given us while reviewing the last demo made it to the main game, and we hope it will meet your expectations.
Now you can gain more space in your train to place more production stations and explore what they have to offer! If you have never built a bar for your crew or a dairy, this may be the perfect time to make up for it!
That's all for today. In the comments below, let us know your thoughts on this new addition to the game.
Pandemic Train stops at the following stations:

Meanwhile, see you in 3 weeks, and... let it snow! ~Pandemic Train team~
Let's talk Pandemic Train: Codex
Welcome survivors!
Today is one of devlog Thursdays with more news on Pandemic Train!
We want to show you a part of the pause menu in our game. You're probably wondering what may be so interesting about a pause menu. Well, let us tell you a bit about it, then!
When you're playing a game, and you want to learn more about a particular thing or mechanic, you don't want your character to be exposed to attacks while you're trying to gain knowledge, do you?
For this purpose we created a codex which is located in the pause menu. You click ESC and all the needed information is available to you! But what can you actually find out there? Here we have several tabs in the codex, so let's start one by one:
Characters - Here you will find all the leaders you have already met during the game. You can learn all about them here. The total amount of HP, what weapons are used by a given leader, what he can do that others can't, what module you get with him at the start, and even his biography! However, that's not all, you will also find information about the enemies you have already met!
Items - List of all discovered items and information about them. They are divided into 4 categories: 1. components – craft items, basic raw materials, 2. usable – consumable items, e.g., plague vial, vaccine, water, food, 3. weapons – here we see the strengths and weaknesses of leaders' weapons 4. special items – items to be found in the world, which can be assigned to leaders.
HQ - Here you will be able to look into your progress at the headquarters. Information about the bonuses you already have and those you will get after upgrading HQ is located here.
Modules - Information on their price, what can be produced with them, and which skill will be improved during the work.
As you can see for yourself, pause menu grants you with a vast amount of knowledge! However, it does not end there. Apart from the codex, we also have tabs with a map, quests, and a tutorial where you can learn even more!
The question remains… Do you still think that nothing interesting can be said about the pause menu?
We invite you to join our Discord server, and add Pandemic Train to your wishlist, so you don't miss a release which will be in Q1 2023!

Pandemic Train - sign-ups for Beta-tests!
Hello survivors!
We have a short but interesting announcement for you! Today, we’re launching separate sign-ups for Beta-tests!
What about Steam Playtests? A lot of you signed up there, and we’re very happy to see all those applications. However, we have only 100 spots open for tests and Steam doesn’t allow us to choose who gets the game and who doesn’t. It’s important to us to have that possibility, because we want to get opinion from players all around the world who speaks different languages and play different genres. It also doesn’t allow us to collect proper feedback from you. Therefore, we’ve decided to open our own Beta Sign-up Form.
The Beta registration starts today and lasts until November 15. We plan to decide our beta testers and begin beta tests in the second half of November.
