1.1.4

Park Bound 1.1.1 & 1.1.2 released

Version 1.1.1

Game

  • Fixed player not landing correctly on fast-falling platforms
  • Fixed jittering caused when standing between two sloped surfaces
  • Reduced stuttering for other players' characters when either player had a weak network connection
  • Fixed double jump flames not activating on other characters

Menus

  • Updated splash screen title text

Version 1.1.2

Game

  • Fixed bug introduced in 1.1.1 causing gryoballs to not move correctly with platforms

Overworld

  • Overworld billboards now fade-in park images if world loads before screenshots are available

Note: Version 1.1.1 fixed an issue where it would take an extra frame for the player to register a connection with the platform when touching a new surface. This was mostly only noticeable on falling platforms (such as swings) where the player would sometimes touch the platform but not continue to move on it. Version 1.1.2 fixes an issue (unrelated, but introduced in 1.1.1) that caused the gyroball to not move with a moving platform correctly under any situation. However, because the player (under all items) now correctly connects to the platforms right away, the gyroball may interact slightly different under some extreme edge cases.

Park Bound 1.1.0 released

New emote system, new hairstyles, and other fixes. Required update to play with other players on 1.1.x. Players with older versions will be split into their own sectors.

Character

  • Added three new hairstyles
  • Added a new emote system with the following emotes: /bow, /clap, /dance, /dance1, /dance2, /dance3, /dance4, /dance5, /no, /ready, /roar, /yay, /yes (/dance will select a random /dance# emote)

Gameplay

  • Fixed platforms rotating the player incorrectly while standing still under some situations
  • Fixed incorrect ground detection when on slide with a low ceiling (wasn't observable in any parks)

Menu

  • Added the chat menu to outfit/build/practice mode to allow for emote typing

Now available on macOS

Park Bound is now available to play on macOS - see the system requirements section of the store page for details.

Editor

  • Can now hold down center key (spacebar by default) to follow select object

Park Bound 1.0.3 released

Gryoball improvements, conveyor fixes, and minor optimizations.

  • Gyroball airborne fixes and improvements - this was large enough for it's own post, see the Steam community forum post for details

Engine

  • Optimized uncollidable morphing shapes (If all objects linked to a morphing shape are marked as uncollidable the engine can skip bounds recalculation for the underlying physics shape. The most common use-case is water-like morphing shapes that can use a simplified box shape for their collision in many situations)

Park Bound 1.0.2 released

This update brings a few minor gameplay fixes and some settings changes.

Gameplay

  • Fixed active item not saving when leaving treasure room
  • Tweaked hair/addon clamping algorithm to keep player model inside of the gyroball item
  • Opening the main menu on the gamepad will now stop player movement

Menus

  • New "Reset to start" hotkey that lets you go back to the start of the level without using the main menu button. Default key is set to "Y"
  • Fixed controller configuration changes not being saved after game restarts
  • Made "Exit Application" button in top right more visible and match other UI elements

Misc

  • Updated Windows JRE files which may have caused the game to not start for some hardware configurations
