Patch 0.5.0 is so far the biggest patch we have published during closed alpha according to changes in short time. We have further improved the light of the world even more, making the game feel much more realistic than it was in last patch. Weapon placements while unequipped have been changed for most of the early game weapons, this process will be continued in the next patch as well to prevent visual clipping. We have added a lot more Points of Interest in the world as well as more secrets so the exploring should feel even better.

Patch 0.4.9.6 brings more optimization changes to the game according to feedback from Open Alpha Week. Past Fate should now run much more smoother on all systems as well as look even better than before, thanks to some changes made in fog and light settings.
The combat of Past Fate got little bit of an upgrade as there is no longer animation lock when doing combat against NPC:s and players. The combat will get more improvements overall, but currently One Handed and One Handed With Shield have been remade, Two Handed still uses the old system from most parts. We would like players feedback from these changes to see if we are heading the right direction on combat changes.
On the patches to follow up to 0.5.0 version, we are making adjustments to clipping gear and replication issues where players could see other players fully naked when spawned in game world as well as focusing more on how the game runs on those who are still encountering issues after todays patch.
