Update 17 - Quick Slots, New Sprint, Main Hand Reloading & Much More!



Hello guys ːsteamhappyː

Major mechanic change for the Vive


Now you grab and drop stuff with the grip, including letting go of your main hand holding a bolt action rifle for example..

This makes grenades and knives to have an extra step in order to throw them, Grip then Trigger. Which i believe is just a thing to get used to.

This frees the menu button to be custom mapped to predefined actions, allowing snap turn or ambidextrous reloading, just to name a few.



New Inventory and quick slots


The inventory has been reworked completely for ease of use, including 3 quick slots that can be used (and they work better like that) blindly, wild-west duel style. Two at the side hips for handguns and knives (akimbo ready) and one in the back of your head for large guns and bomb.

Stuff in the quick slots can be swapped easily



Native Oculus Support


After dealing with countless issues and bugs with steamvr and oculus, i decided to implement Oculus natively. This improves performance, stability and tracking. You still need steam open to run the game.

I invite everyone to try the new beta for the upcoming update, this one is a major update and i'm looking to get everyone feedback and fix any issue that arises.

Update 16 - New Weapons, Revamped Main Room & Competitive Mode

Revamped Main Room


The new main room aside from the eye candy and good first impression that was lacking for a long time, there's a new tutorial tool tip system to help new player get the hang of the game quicker.

New Weapons


We finally have a wide selection of heavy weaponry featuring a new light machine gun and a semi-auto shotgun.





There's also a new cheap hunting rifle, for them saving rounds ːsteamhappyː




Competitive Mode


Currently this mode features a brand new spectator room and team only voice chat. In future updates you'll start seeing things like auto-pause on disconnect, ready up mechanic, etc, etc. This is just the beginning of eSports with Pavlov.

Official Oculus Support


The Oculus implementation is at a point where im comfortable to mark it as compatible in the store page however there's still a few issues that need to get improved and fixed overtime.

Battle Royale


Yep, Pavlov is gonna have it's own battle royale mode next year. This is the reason there hasn't been an update for a while as all the attention has been put into that. If you're interested keep an eye on discord for scheduled play tests.

Experimental Virtual Stock


You can enable it in the settings, hopefully this will lower the gap between players with physical stocks and everyone else. Give it a try, any feedback is appreciated.

Update 14 - More weapons, Voting & Muting!



Hello guys!

Voting


The awaited voting system is here, in this first implementation you can vote to kick and vote to return to the lobby. This is an extensible system so more types of votes should get added during early-access.

Non-Intrusive voting notification
The voting notification as shown in the thumbnail above is placed away from your aiming view in like a wing-mirror thing. To properly see it you have to turn only your head.

To vote just open the menu (menu + trigger).

Muting


Very straight forward, you get a list of players where you can toggle the mute status on and off. Muted players are saved in your local Pavlov configuration.

More Weapons



The weapons that didn't made it in the last patch, a cheap sawed off shotgun and a new default 9mm pistol. A couple more will come in the mid term.

We are growing, new servers!


More servers have been deployed in Europe and US (west coast) to aid in keeping game-play smooth during peak times.

Infamous swapping hands bug


Is gone, your hands will get automatically oriented if they're not already (helpful for the touch). For Vive players this feature is disable by default, You can also swap them manually from the settings.

New weapons, smoke and flash grenades


Filling the blanks in the smg pistol and grenade categories. There's also a couple of weapons revamped (AK and shotgun). More weapons are coming in the next patch.

New hands and wrist watch "HUD"


The hands have been revamped and a wrist watch has been added, it shows your health, armor and helmet status, magazine count is not functional yet. Hit the comments bellow and let me know what you think about it ːsteamhappyː

Workshop and post-processing


As of this update, post processing has been disabled by default, you can override this in the settings if you wish to.

The motive behind this is mere consistency, some of the techniques used in several workshop maps, darken models and UI to an undesirable degree.

Sorry if this causes you a inconvenience.

Moderation Update (Muting, Kicking, Forgive/Punish, etc, etc)


This update was meant to be released in May however, due to fatigue i had to take a short break and work on something less demanding. This will come for sure in the next update in early August.

Major update is finally here!

New Map


First Search and destroy map is fully added, there's been some major changes for balancing reasons. I hope you enjoy this as much as i did making it!

Workshop (Custom Maps)

Update 11 - Oculus Goodies, bug fixes and improvements

Oculus


In this update Oculus is getting some needed attention from bug fixes to needed basic features like thumbstick snap turn.

Thumbstick snap turn can be activated in the settings (not available for the vive)

Cooking grenades can be done with the trigger!

Be aware that im developing for Oculus pretty much blind as i don't own the hardware yet, so any feedback is appreciated!

Auto ungrip


This is a basic implementation of what would be a series of input customization, in the mean time this seem to be the most seeked feature to add

Final SNDMap testing week


Last chance to give feedback! does it seem balanced? is it too big, too small? does it need more cover spots? etc, etc your opinion it's important!

Update 10 - New testing maps, fixes & improvements!

Testing maps


There's two new maps, Bridge and SNDMap, the latter is unnamed for the time being

This maps are in a state known as "blockout", in this state, changes are very easy to do, allowing many testing iterations before committing into "final art" which could take months.

This is where i need your feedback, play the hell out of those maps specifically SNDMap in S&D mode.
