Network Changes Now Live


We've pushed the new netcode out to the main branch now.
You should see improvements across the board.
We've also bumped up the gain on the mic a bit.
Check on your steam settings to make sure you're using the correct mic in VR.

Hi folks,

Had a good Easter weekend?

We've been busy making networking more stable.

On the beta branch you should find that you can get more Quick Matches going. (with other beta users)

We've also added experimental voice chat.
Let me know if either of these things work for you in the comments.

Quick Fix

The Bowling ball no longer falls off the ball return when you start a game

Hot fix

Pushed a fix for Rapid Fire giving extra points if you restart mid-game and adjusted the slope angle for Rocketball for the change in physics.

Update

We've updated the version of unity we're using to 5.5 which includes a new version of PhysX. Let me know if you notice any issues.

Also for people who get the leaderboard stuck on their mallet, you can no longer grab the leaderboards or info box while holding something. They still pop up when you touch them but so long as they out of the play area it wont obscure your view any more.

Winter Update


It's that time of year when the nights get longer and you put on your ugly jumpers and you settle in for some marathon gaming sessions to avoid speaking to your family.

To celebrate this season of good will we're giving you not 1 but 6 new toys and fireworks to buy in the gift shop along with snowmen, Christmas trees, presents and snowy weather in our free content update!

Oculus Touch Tweak

Minor update, you can now grab objects using both grip and trigger on oculus touch.

More updates soon ;)

Quick Fix

*Fixed an issue with the light bake
*Fixed the ticket counter not appearing on your hands
*Gift shop ticket counter shows the correct number of tickets
*Bowling lights turn off when you start a game after changing quality settings
*Reduced the number of checks for controllers if you have 1 turned off

Touch Ready

We've added Oculus Touch support ready for when they release which includes the following changes:

*Crouch button on Touch controls to make reaching the floor easier
*Point the laser at coin slots to insert coins if you're too lazy to bend over

We've also moved the radio stations text file to the root of the game folder.

Teleport and radio

We've simplified the teleport so that now it moves you to the position you aim at (rather than the room centre). This does mean you have to rely on your chaperone more to avoid walls but gives you better control of your play space.

We've also been given permission to include some radio stations to the juke box so now there's a selection of game radio stations preloaded. ːsteamhappyː
