Had a good Halloween?

Here's some not-too-spooky changes:

* Added hot keys for hosting and joining
* H - hosts a public game
* J - joins a game (same IP as the previous session you manually joined)
* Bowling pin hit test tweak
* Bowling balls more bouncy
* Bowling balls make a rolling sound
* Light probe tweak
* Teleporting with teddies work now
* Added new pucks clarification to Penguin Shuffle
* Ambient audio spatial blend tweak
* Rat doesn't collide with saloon doors


Halloween theme will revert to normal tomorrow but will come back around next year automatically (or you can change your system clock)

Spooky Update

We have a spooky update for you! ːsteammockingː

For the next week or so you'll find your arcade has some new residents in the rafters and a couple jack-o'-lanterns dotted around.



But that's not all, we have also added a whole new game!



Shoot wild west zombies for points but don't let them reach you or you'll lose time and points. This game is a permanent addition so you can play it year round.

Multiplayer fix

We've pushed the beta build to the main branch with a couple extra changes:
<*>Accepting invites work again
<*>Port forwarding should be automatic for most users now
<*>Disabled graphics jobs as it was unstable for some users
<*>Added new launch command arguments for force loading headsets
<*>"-forceOVR"
<*>"-forceOpenVR"

NAT punch-through beta

Hi,

We need some testers for the new NAT punch-through method.

This method consists of 3 components:
<*>Automatic port forwarding
<*>NAT punch-through facilitator
<*>Direct connection

This will allow 90%~ of users to play online (unless your network or router blocks the above methods e.g. school networks)

If you haven't already port forwarded please try connecting to another player online either with quick match or friends invite (invite accept appears over your controller)

I'm particularly interested in if you are able to connect to the facilitator which will be noted in the output log in the Arcade_Data folder.

Please also note any loss of performance.

To test the new NAT punch-through you have to opt-in to the beta in steam.

Minor Update

Super Punch changes:
<*>Changed the word "Bad" to "Slow" to make scoring more clear.
<*>Removed message when hitting a paddle that's not all the way up for less clutter / confusion.

Other Changes:
<*>Dino Whack physics tweak.

Future updates:
We're experimenting with other NAT-punchthrough methods to make the process more streamlined for users.

Back from EGX with an update

Hi arcade fans, we're back from EGX which was a blast (excluding all the bodily fluids) and we're back to work without missing a beat.ːsteamhappyː

We've got your first post launch patch here which includes:

Pierhead Arcade Full Release Now Live!


We are proud to announce that Pierhead Arcade is leaving Early Access and launching into full release!

It's been a long road and I'd like to congratulate/thank the other team members, Vivienne and Julian on their hard work and dedication to bringing a slice of classic arcade fun to virtual reality.

We're at EGX now to show off the game and drum up some support. If you're attending then drop by for some swag (virtual swag also included in this build).

This update sees the new game Honey Rush pushed out to all players and comes with a whole host of performance optimisations and bug fixes.

Thank you all for participating in the game's early development, keep the feedback coming and stay tuned for future content and more platforms.

Release candidate!

The release candidate is available on the beta channel!
This version includes another new game called Honey Rush

As you can see it's the first joystick game in the arcade. You use the joysticks to control either side of a long pole and you have to guide a ball up a maze of holes to get to the goal. The faster you do it the more points you get.

We need people to test the release candidate ahead of the official release on the 22nd.

"Why is X game missing?" - Don't worry, we'll be adding more content post release but we've completed all the goals in Early Access and even exceeded the target number of games as well. If you bought the game today it would feel like a complete experience.
