REMIX Game Jam
We took this opportunity to launch our very first Game Jam to encourage users everywhere to try their hand at video game creation. For this Game Jam, we're asking you to remix the existing sample games in the software, while giving them your own spin. This means using some of the assets included in Pixel Game Maker MV to create something of your own. You can check the exact requirements and rules here.
From all the submissions we receive (if they abide by the rules and terms linked above), the Pixel Game Maker MV team will be choosing their favorite and will be giving the community the chance to vote on their favorite as well. These two winners announced at the end of April, will have their project showcased at this year's BitSummit in Kyoto, Japan's biggest indie game show, which will take place the weekend of June 1st-2nd, 2019.

Pixel Game Maker MV Remix Game Jam - Terms and Conditions
Game Jam Submissions
For the Remix Game Jam, assets from the sample games already available in Pixel Game Maker MV must be used to create a new “remixed” project.
The assets are the resources in the sample project folders and include animations (motion, particle and effects) sprite sheets, tile sets, images, background music, sound effects and fonts.
Note: Assets for "Dungeon of Nazarick" are excluded from this game jam.
The “remixed project” must use assets from sample projects included in Pixel Game Maker MV, but the participant’s own original assets (e.g.: new scenes, new attacks, new gameplay mechanics, etc) can be used as well.
Assets created by the participants, assets with a free license, or assets purchased can also be used in the “remixed project”. However, such assets found to be in violation of copyright and/or trademark laws, and/or assets found to encroach on the rights of others may not be used.
If using external assets such as those mentioned directly above, these assets cannot comprise more than 50% of your game. This is in order to maintain the “remix” concept of this contest.
All participants must include in their entry folder a file including:
a. Instructions on how to play the game;
b. A complete list of all assets used, both from sample games and external assets.
There are no specific requirements when it comes to type (top view or side view) or genre of the game. Be creative!
Entries should be created and worked on during the dates specified for this contest.
Submissions are limited to one project per entry. However, multiple entries are allowed.
Entries must also abide by the requirements specified in “Pixel Game Maker MV Remix Game Jam Terms and Conditions”.
Submission Deadline
Submissions must be received by midnight on March 19th, 2019 (Japan Standard Time). Submissions received after the deadline will not be accepted.
How to Submit
Submissions will be accepted by email only.

First of all, thank you for your support during this Early Access period: we've really managed to improve a lot over the last few months, and we have a lot more improvements coming!
We announced with the release of the 0.9.4 update that we are going to be switching the default version of Pixel Game Maker MV to the 64-bit version. This has been decided in accordance with our plans for further improvements to Pixel Game Maker MV.
The switch will occur on Thursday, February 14 at 3 AM GMT.
Our reasons for this change are as follows:
The 64-bit version is, in most cases, faster and generally more stable than the 32-bit version.
Looking at the information available to us, almost everyone is running a 64-bit OS.
And after months of testing the 64-bit with you all, we feel comfortable that this will result in generally a better experience for those who have not yet tried the 64-bit version from the Beta tab.
If you have any comments about this change, please let us know in the comments or on Twitter!
For users who are still on a 32-bit operating system, the 32-bit version will still be available via a branch on the Steam Beta tab.
This can be accessed via the following method:
Switching to 32-bit Build:
1. Open "Properties" for Pixel Game Maker MV in your Steam Library, and select the "BETAS" tab.
2. Select "32bit" from the drop down menu and close Properties.
