Well guys, we finally were able to finish the hierarchy tree and add the library (Structure picked by you guys a few months back) to the game, as well as some other interface improvements, new types of trees.
So far we've handpicked 15 people to beta test Pixel Survivors and receive some extra features in game.
If you would like to apply, we will take another 15 batch in the upcoming weeks.

Without futher to say, here is the first Beta Build available in Early Access:
Improved the GUI.
Added new structure: The Library.
Added new trees: Willow tree and Birch tree. (Learning required)
Added small interaction buttons with buildings on right click.
Added books to be learned in the library. These learned books will allow the creation of new structures and improvements to the village (Upgrade system)
Boats will only be created if there is a dock constructed.
The mana regain was lowered.
Bug fixed: Plants not being harvested when food at max capacity.
Library system:
25 books are now available for learning. This learning curve will grant access to new structures, efficiency and improvements for the village.
Until the next patch the only cost of the books will be the time it takes to learn them. So you guys can get familiarized with the system.

Blacksmithing
Defensive Skills
Offensive Skills
Fishing
Ocultism
Storage
You fellows will have to find out by your own the effect each book has in game. :camper:

Well guys, it has been a busy week working on the game. We've managed to get the fishing update done for this saturday.
With this patch we are officially in Beta. We are still taking in submission for beta testers. What will beta testers receive?: New skins for citizens and unique structures textures and perhaps some easter eggs, who knows? :toothless:

What's changed?:
Bug Fixed: Centered camera when loading.
Bug Fixed: Fixed depth glitches.
Bug fixed: Glitch of building icon not removed when structure destroyed.
Added pause menu and sound interface.
Added colored alpha when placing structures, red or green depending if you can place the structure or not.
Changed the arrow key movements with "WASD" movement to the main camera. Diagonals now allowed.
Added new structure: The docks. Center of operations for boats.
Retextured the boats and added advanced pathfinding.
The fishing system was re-done.
We'll keep on working in the library/upgrades system, is close to done, but needs plenty of adjustments, so we decided to polish it up a bit more before adding it to the game.

CLOSED BETA UPCOMING!
Well guys, the game has grown a lot since the very first pre-alpha build we've uploaded here on Steam. We wanted to thank everybody for the feedback, support and love the game has received over the first year on Early Access.
With that in mind, we've decided the game is getting closer to a finish state. There are still many small things and bugs to polish up, as well as some new additions. More will be revealed in the next patch coming up at the end of the week.
We've decided to run a closed beta after next week update in paralel with the Early Access Game. Those who would like to participate in the closed beta would have to be our testers during the upcoming months. In reward these testers will get special and unique outfits for the villagers and structures.
What do I need to join the Beta?
Have Pixel Survivors.
Played the game for at least 5 hours.
Be a member of the Pixel Survivors Community.

UPDATE 0.70.4 - BARNS AND CELLARS UPGRADES!
Well guys, it has been a few long weeks on remaking the AI once again, more upgrades and glitches fixed. Today we are presenting the 0.70 Update: Four tiers of upgrades were added to the storage system as well a complete revamp of the Artificial Intelligence and a better performance overall on low cpus.
Without more rambling here are the patch notes:

The butchering level is now automatic, but can be changed by the player if neeeded.
Fixed night glitch.
Fixed aura creating multiple times.
Villagers will no longer steal from each other.
Fixed some depth and perspective glitches.
Fixed freezing effect when building.
Added upgrades to barns and rootcellars. Each upgrade will improve the village capacity.
Remade the Artificial Intelligence.
Added scroll using the scroll wheel on the menus.
Fixed some issues with the pathfinding of villagers when escaping the undead.

Fixed iron mine not working properly.
Fixed the perspective of chicken to the new depths.
Fixed chickens being harvested without dying.
Fixed rootcellars upgrades to consume resources less than zero.

UPDATE 0.66.3 - MORE ACHIEVEMENTS!
Well guys, we've been working hard on the new LIBRARY, but it is not done yet, it will be the biggest update we've ever done, so you'll need to give us a bit more time. We are still working on the hierarchy tree for the upgrades. In the mean time we fixed some bugs of the 0.65 Build and added 18 new achievements and corrected some things that needed change:

Bug Fixed: Easy and hard mode loads will work like a charm now.
Changes were made to the drops of fields near windmills, will no longer double the seed drop, only the food.
Fabric was added as a perishible resource. It will decay over time. Villagers will try to stock them in the root cellars.
Optimized the codes here and there, the game should run smoother.
Added 18 new Achievements.
0.66.3
Bug Fixed: Centered the initial Wagon.
Bug Fixed: Villagers will now take the Wheat and Barley to the closest depo.
More balances to the Mineral collection.
Fixed some late game lag spikes.

[POLL] -CLOSED- Decide the next Patch of Pixel Survivors! -
Well guys, on our last dev meeting we've decided to include you guys a bit more into the development process. We will make polls from time to time, so you guys can decide what the next update will add to the game.
This week poll will be: "What structure should be added the next patch?"
What structure should be added to Pixel Survivors?
Library - Will improve the upgrade system a lot.
Brewery - Will allow the villagers to get drunk, and work harder
New Crops - More crops, with different drops and new products.
The poll will be running until friday, and we'll start to work from there.

And the library idea won, we'll get to it after sunday's patch, that will fix some bugs and add a few new achievements

UPDATE 0.65.3 - ROOT CELLARS!
Well guys, it has been a long working couple of weeks, but we've finally finished the 0.65 Patch. We've changed plenty of stuff for the mid/late game as well as some new additions and menues re-organization:

Bug Fixed: Loading easy or hard difficulty will save the current initial storage capacity.
Bug Fixed: Chicken pens butchering without tools.
Bug Fixed: Villagers getting stuck colliding with carts and barns when carrying chickens to the pens.
New mining system. Will balance a bit more the mid/late game.
Reorganized the menues, now we've got plenty of room for the upcoming new structures!
Added spoilage to perishible resources.
New structure: The root cellar. This building works pretty much like a barn.
Villager will be able to use root cellars to preserve perishible resources. They will use barns if the root cellars capacity is full, but those resources will spoil over time.
Added double pathfinding to villagers. If they are carrying resources that belong in different storages, they will do one first, and then the other.

Typo in the pathfinding code, preventing the female villagers from being able to get new tasks.
Villagers not picking up stone after mining it directly.
Swapped correctly the display for the new root cellar capacity between the fabric and the herbs.
Herb fields and bait farms not showing after building them.

DEMO + NEW LOGO + HORROR GAME!
Well guys, this is a quick up to date report:
We managed to get a Demo Version of Pixel Survivors in the store. That way the new players would not have to adventure into a game they don't know, and decide if they like it or not before purchasing the full version. That might help those who are not convinced with the trailer and reviews, but still want to give the game a try.

UPDATE 0.64.4 - SAWMILLS!
Well guys, this is the 0.64 update. We've focused on clearing more and more minor bugs, as well as adding some features for those players who stick a little while in-game and manage to get medium and large size village. So here we go again:

Bug Fixed: Boats stuck in the menus.
Bug Fixed: Boats stuck in land will break. (This happened when creating new land on top a boat)
Bug Fixed: Requirements for the tailor shop has been corrected.
Bug Fixed: Small glitches in the transportation of resources.
Added new STRUCTURE: The Sawmill. The nearby cut trees, will go there to be processed. Improving the production by two. (Similar mechanic as the Windmill.)
Added radius of working distance to the foresting tower.
The starting butchering level was set to 5 by default, hope that might help people figure out it works.

Added the new Logo to the main menu.
Bug Fixed: Saplings planted on top of sawmills.
Bug Fixed: Radius of the foresting tower. (It affects the chunk, not the particular tree location)
Bug Fixed: Trees outside the sawmill radius not being harvested.
