Pixels 0.67.3 - Lionel joins the fight, Casino Env, New Battle Rewards and more!
0.67.3 Changes ----------------------- As our next update will be focused on the items system, this update is focused on the pre req work required to make items work. The end of battle results / screen has been overhauled and a choose a reward option has been added. Right now, the choice of rewards is small but after the addition of equipable items, the choose a reward system will be more varied and exciting in the future!
Pixels ----------------------- - New Pixel: Lionel, our trusty shopkeeper Lionel now joins the roster! Battle with and against Lionel, the scrappy weapon type Pixel!
New Battle Environment ---------------------- - Enjoy battling in the new Casino Environment! Accessible in the 2nd city encounter.
Battle Results --------------------- - A new Victory phase is added to end of battle! - Choose a reward screen/feature added at end of battle. Rewards are randomized and will also utilize the equippable items in the future. - Results screen UI has been overhauled, Now notifies when a Pixel has new moves learned!
Coach Battles / Dialog -------------------- - Brand new Dialog UI update - More coaches have been added to the pool besides "Assured_Owl", encounter other unique coaches such as "Basic_Nancy" and "JoeAlien"!

PIXELS News 8/18/2022 - Seattle Indies Expo, New Maps and More!
Hey guys, wanted to give a PIXELS news update. Hope you're staying healthy!
First of all we are going to be participating in Seattle Indies Expo! We are super excited and if anyone is attending, we'd love to meet you!
Second, our next update is coming along nicely. This will be our Pre-Items update meaning its all content we wanted to add before starting to tackle one of our most requested features...items!
Here is a preview of what to expect!
New Environment - The Arena
The Arena is where Coaches battle to prove their supremacy. On your run through the Virtual World, can you achieve victory?
New Environment - The Tower
Once you reach the City, you will battle in The Tower. Only the best coaches may battle in such a prestigious area. Can you prove youself as one of them?
UI Update - Info Screen
On top of that we've starting to update some of our UI Elements and we've found a style we're pleased with. Here's a preview of our new Info Screen and the style we're aiming for going forward.

PIXELS Minor Update 0.65.1
Bugfixes ------------------------- - Fixed issue with "Emergency Backup" upgrade not working properly.
PIXELS Regular Update 0.65.0
New Content ------------------ - SPATk and SPDef values have been added. Every Pixel has its own unique SPAtk and SPDef value. Beam attacks use SP values while physical attacks use regular ATK/DEF values. - Type matchup table has had major adjustments. Types have been analyzed and rebalanced to have a more normalized distribution overall. This means for each type number of other types for "Strong Against", "Weak Against", "Weak To", "Strong To" are much more resonable overall. - Updating some UI prompt windows with updated assets.
Bugfixes ------------------ - Fixed a bug with gameover screen camera logic.
PIXELS Update 0.64.11
Balance Changes ------------------------------------- Changing base stats of Pixels to much more normalized values. The goal is for Pixels to be much more competitive against each other while also avoiding the "one-shottiness" of certain matchups to create more dynamic battles.
Bugfix ------------------------------------- Devouring Bite Heal Percentage 20% -> 50% Fixed a bug where in certain cases the Arena Steward Dialog was shown incorrectly after a battle
PIXELS QoL and Bugfixes 0.64.10
Quality of Life ------------------ - Back button behavior is normalized. Should go back in most cases it can, otherwise will open the appropriate menu.
Bugfixes ------------------ - Fixed a bug where the map bar UI was still shown during Steward Battles. - Disabled gravity in project settings to prevent players from falling on the Overworld, Map Screen - Potential crash fix for run gameover / abandon run scenarios. We will be keeping an eye on results with this change to see if the issue has been resolved.

PIXELS - Performance Improvements 0.64.9
We have been aware of performance issues impacting players. While performance is always an ongoing issue, we believe these changes here have the biggest impact and will give players (especially with less powerful PCs) a more enjoyable experience.
Performance Improvements --------------------- - Removed third party plugin that was lowering framerate, switched to new style transitions. - Disabled dynamic shadows from map hexagon tiles. Massive (about 3x!) fps increase on the map.
PIXELS - Minor Bugfixes 0.64.8
Bugfixes --------------------- - Fixing multi click issue where battle start logic could be triggered multiple times, which lead to unexpected effects.
