On a different note, did you know you can now add new duck packs to existing save files? This means you don't have to start a new game next time a DLC comes out!
Just press the + button in your save list and add what you are missing, like so:

Today we start our scary season celebration!
It will last until November 1st and will grant you 3 free event ducks! A little present for you all who support us and make these additions possible ːpartyduckː
If you want to meet the 3 scary friends, you can't miss the event, so join the party in Infinity Cool!
As usual, the new friends will be up for grabs only for a limited time, but once you get them you'll be able to play with them by selecting the Event ducks at the start of a new game.
For this particular event, I suggest you make sure to play with the base game ducks, for... reasons.

"So Many Ducks" DLC is now available!

Big news! "So Many Duck" DLC is live! Dive into the pond with 27 new ducks, each bringing a new style if not actions and combos. Your relaxation level just hit the roof.
We named it "So Many Ducks" because it's the 3rd additional duck pack—CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?
Sometimes we wonder how many ducks are out there that we don't even know exist. Will we manage to meet them all eventually? I guess we can only wait and see! But it feels good to imagine them floating peacefully somewhere, in a place where none of us is watching them.
Until there won't be so many, but too many instead.

Announcing: New DLC and T-shirt drop!

Were you expecting more ducks? I bet you were. But did you expect such a cool t-shirt to ever see the light? Impossible. Look at this.
The thing is, this beauty hasn't been released just yet, which means I'm still not walking around flaunting my fine taste in fashion, art, and attitude on life. ːcoolduckː

Public lobbies, Emojis, and Graphic Settings

The birthday party event was a success, and we are delighted that so many of you joined us in celebrating one year of Placid Plastic Duck Simulator! ːpartyduckː
Now, it's time to clean up around the pool and return to normalcy.
As we do that, we also want to seize the opportunity to introduce something new—something we promised and something you didn't expect.
1. From now on, as you play in a multiplayer game, you'll be able to spam emojis and let other players know how you feel about that unexpected bump you just received.
Just press the scroll wheel on your mouse and choose the emoji you want. Cool uh? ːcoolduckː
2. Public Lobbies are now a thing. Set it to "public" as you create a room as a host, or click on the magnifying glass when you want to join a room instead. ːsteamhappyː
3. Graphic Settings. Yes, they are here. Set it to low and see how nice the game can be when it's not mining cryptocurrencies. ːmenacingduckː

A Happy Birthday to the Ducks!

My dear ducklings,
When we first released the game one year ago, we certainly didn't expect it to receive so much attention. We thought the vision we had was simply too weird to appeal to a vast audience.
We were wrong.
There are many of you, and you understand the spirit of the game very well. Sometimes, you understand it better than us even. You have supported and guided us throughout this whole first year. Every comment, review, screenshot, fan art, fan song, Twitch clip, Discord interaction, and tweet has contributed to the incredible story of this silly game that is not really a game.
PPDS is an indie project we casually dropped in the ocean of Steam as a floating message of love to anyone who would pick it up. And you did pick it up, sending it back to us like a big, sudden wave of love.
Let's recap what that wave has meant:

Jetpack your stuff, we are going to space!
Some time ago we received a postcard from cow duck inviting us to pay a visit. So we decided to go take a look, and thought why not bring you all with us? Join us on Hippospace Download.
We are daring a bit more with this third location, and we are eager to hear what you think! We wanted to experiment and slightly complicate things, hence some polishing might be due (beware).
3 new ducks and 4 new achievements await you - only if you are, as you should be by now, patient enough ːcoolduckː
Once again, thank you all for being part of the duck family. New content like this is only possible thanks to your invaluable support.
There's still so much relaxing and chilling to do, rest assured!

MULTIPLAYER is here!
My duck friends,
Among the many things we could add to the game (graphic settings, anyone?), we decided to bring you the silliest of them all: the multiplayer!
Have you ever dreamed of being able to select a particular duck and just be it as you float happily with your friends? Now you can! (do nothing with your friends)
A total of 8 people can now join the pool, choose from the collection any duck they have previously unlocked, and hang out together.
Do you all want to pick helicopter duck? Do that and see who is the last one to remain in the pool, for a real Battle Royal experience. Or, get one fire-breathing duck among wood ducks, and the last one to catch on fire wins. The possibilities are endless!
Since testing is still ongoing, this is a BETA, which means:
- only the base location is available - the door is not active - errors might occur - be patient ːmenacingduckː

The ducks make friends: 3 gifted ducks and a "World of Placid Plastic Duckships"

Thanks to you all, the ducks are really going places we didn't expect.
d- First:
As a sign of appreciation towards our unbelievably friendly community of hardcore gamers, we are adding special ducks to the Infinity Cool location today.
These are 3 gaming-related ducks. Do you want to know more? You'll have to get into the game and wait. For now, I will only say that one of them is a crossover. Our first duck crossover!
o- Second:
o- As the camo-duck always says, "relaxing is sweeter after a long day of battle."
Starting today and for a limited period of time, Placid Plastic Duck Simulator will bundle with the latest World of Warships' DLC!
r- Fire up World of Warships, equip your favorite battleship with all the makings of a (somewhat less placid) plastic duck, and unleash the Quacken! Then enjoy the calm after the storm and enter the healing pool of Placid Plastic Duck Simulator, where you can kick back, relax, and quack as you please.
(About World of Warships: 20th-century naval combat comes vividly to life in this unique tactical shooter experience. Change the look of your ship, choose upgrades to suit your play style, and go into battle with other players!)

"Duck Addiction" DLC now available!
Dear friends,
Thanks to you the word about PPDS is spreading far and wide, so much so that a new flock of ducks decided to join in and they are now ready to meet you in your favorite pool!
So kick back, relax, and watch them as they do what they do best: floating. But expect some hiding, dancing, scanning, and other things.
These new ducks are bringing with them 3 additional achievements. I know the vast majority of you like that, but bear in mind these ones require some... action, as sometimes happens in the game.
What else? Ah right, save slots. We promised we would add one additional save slot, one for each location. We added 6 instead! ːcoolduckː (does that mean we'll eventually get to 6 locations? no. I don't know. maybe. ːnerdduckː)
We also added a little something we call a cinematic camera, which comes in handy when you leave the game open without interacting: the camera will automatically switch from duck to duck (or spot) after the game is left idle for a while. You can turn this function off from the settings.
Lastly, if you check the controls section, you'll notice how now you can stop the duck spawn by pressing Y.
To recap: - 3 additional achievements - 6 save slots - cinematic camera - Y to stop spawning ducks
