Spooky Pack new DLC coming soon!
Hi everyone,
With the summer months behind us, we are slowly gearing up for our Frontier Expo in October, during which we will be able to tell you more about some great new content making its way to Planet Coaster. The team has been so busy, our office has turned into a ghost town... creepy creatures are lurking in the corners, our desks are covered in cobwebs, and the lights seem to flicker every other minute... Strange, isn’t it?
It must be the side effects from our brand-new SPOOKY PACK!
That’s right: on September 25, 2017 we are releasing a spook-tacular Spooky Pack for you to get creative with. This is our newest paid content pack, specifically themed for those horror lovers and dark ride fanatics. The content pack contains two new powered tracked rides, a spooky themed wall set and static and animated attachments, special effects, shop fronts, path extras, doors and windows, fences, triggerable coaster doors, themed custom signs and facility signs, and themed hats for your Planco avatars. We’re also joined by a new entertainer, King Ghoster, who will happily haunt your parks and thrill your guests!
The Hoax is a free-spinning haunted house ride with a tight track that twists and turns through each corner, and the Huntsman is Planet Coaster’s first ever motion platform ride which rotates on an axis and fits the theme perfectly. As always, the rides are fully customisable so it can fit your park just the way you want it to.
In addition to this paid content pack, we’re also releasing a third coaster, the In-Descent, for everyone to enjoy for free! This is a rapid steel shuttle coaster not created for the faint-hearted... every Planet Coaster owner will automatically receive the In-Descent with this update on September 25 (it is *NOT* part of the Spooky content, it is a *FREE* coaster).
The Planet Coaster Spooky Pack is completely optional for you to purchase – you can get it from Steam or the Frontier Store for £7.99 ($10.99, €10.99). We will also be giving away a couple of codes on our livestreams, so be sure to tune in to those on Tuesdays at 1PM on https://twitch.tv/frontierdevelopments and Wednesdays at 7PM BST on https://youtube.com/planetcoaster/live for a chance to win. Please note that you need to have the Planet Coaster base game in order to download and play this extra content.
Keep your eyes peeled on our social media channels for some exclusive screenshots over the next few days!
We hope you’re excited about this hauntingly boo-tiful new Spooky Pack...
Livestream tonight (Sept 6th) at 7PM BST on YouTube!
Greetings everyone! From our Community Manager, Bo Marit...
Hi coaster friends!
It's been really busy the past few weeks with gamescom, PAX West, and Frontier Expo preparations so I'm really sorry we haven't been able to do the weekly livestreams for a while. We miss you!
However, tonight we are back at our regular 7PM BST slot on the official Planet Coaster YouTube channel :) Ed will be hosting because unfortunately I'm sick at home with a nasty case of conflu... But Ed is awesome and Head of Animation Nick Rodgers will be on too so I'm sure you'll have a lovely time.
If you've sent me an email or workshop item to be shown off I promise I will show it on the stream really soon after I'm back :)
You can watch the live stream here: https://www.youtube.com/c/planetcoaster/live
The awesome folks in the Planet Coaster dev team have been hard at work on some new and exciting content. Luckily for us, they've managed to grab a few moments to bring in a few small changes today to further improve the game experience.
In today's release we will be updating the Cedar Point exclusive Steel Vengeance blueprint to make our in-game replica even more authentic. We’ll also be adding some new textures to the Steel Vengeance track as well as some small bug fixes.
We hope you enjoy and we’re looking forward to sharing more news on what the team have been working on at Frontier Expo17, we’re looking forward to seeing you there, or joining us for the livestreams.
Coaster Improvements

<*>Improved the Steel Vengeance coaster blueprint to more closely match the speed and height of the ride.
<*>Reduced the wear on the Steel Vengeance track.

Update 1.3.6 - Cedar Point’s Steel Vengeance!
Hi coaster friends!
We’re very excited to announce a special partnership with Cedar Point today, resulting in another free update for all Planet Coaster players!
In Spring 2018 Cedar Point will be opening its hyper-hybrid rollercoaster, the Steel Vengeance – a revamp of their famous wooden coaster Mean Streak. Steel Vengeance is set to be the tallest, fastest, and longest hybrid rollercoaster in the world!
However, you won’t have to wait until next year to see this beauty in action: in Update 1.3.6, we are releasing the Steel Vengeance for free! The new hybrid coaster is fully customisable, and you’ll also have the premade blueprint of the Steel Vengeance to place and ride in-game! We’ve also added Steel Vengeance’s own brand new ride entrance sign as well as Cedar Point’s official logos to the sign collection.
Big thanks to both Cedar Point and the Planet Coaster team for this one-of-a-kind collaboration. We cannot wait to visit the real coaster in Spring 2018!
Enjoy!
