[p]For June's patch, a lot of focus has been put on improving the in-game rune manager as well as just doing various polish and consistency passes for things. A small balance update is also now live. Finally, this month brings the first improvements to the bot game server. The plan is for improvements to continually be made there in order to fix various bugs and weird behavior and hopefully improve how the bot plays in order to make it more fun and challenging to play against. That work will be ongoing.[/p][p][/p]

Rune Manager / Deck Manager
[p]Fixed an issue where unowned runes in the rune manager would not show their correct rune cost but instead would show a random value from some other rune.[/p]
[p]NOTE: The value currently shown is the nora cost without any upgrade abilities, so it too is incorrect. This will be fixed by a future api update or client update.[/p]
[p]Hid rune level display on spells and relics.[/p]
[p]Fixed an issue in which relics would not show their correct DEF value. As part of this fix, all relics will display "0" when they have zero DEF instead of displaying "--".[/p]
[p]Fixed an issue in which the display of the champion animation on the Rune Info display was not using the correct shader and would appear very pixelated due to nonlinear scaling.[/p]
[p]Updates fonts and sizes for rune art so that they are more consistent across all places that runes are shown.[/p]
[p][/p]
Store
[p]Fixed an issue in which all runes appeared with the foil effect when opening packs.[/p]
[p][/p]

[p]Added new sounds for the abilities Grand Entrance and Dispel.[/p]
[p]Fixed an issue in which the foil version of Cyclonic Fesh would not play its unique sound when attacking.[/p]
[p]Added over 300 (!) more pieces of high-resolution artwork for runes.[/p]

Skirmish Matches
[p]Changed the bot logic so that it will not try to deploy over chasms.[/p]
[p]Changed the bot logic so that it will not try to deploy a champion with Titan if there are not 3 or more friendly champions in play.[/p]
[p]Changed the bot logic so that it will not try to deploy the champion Collection of Souls if there is not an enemy champion in play.[/p]

Drums of War 41 has ended. Drums of War 42 will begin soon, along with a rank reset.
All players who participated in the Drums of War have been given rewards. These packs can be opened in the Marketplace either on the website or in the game client. Furthermore, the top five players of each faction have received a limited bonus.
Stay tuned for a new Iconic Foils pack to become available in which you can get 1 of 20 different new Limited foil runes (2 from each faction and 2 split hero champion runes). This should be available this weekend.
The new Drums of War wiil start sometime in the next few days.
May Update
For May's patch, we've focused on a lot of quality-of-life improvements to the client and have done some more balance changes including an adjustment to the rune reveal rate.
Coming Soon: New Foil Runes
New foil runes have been created and will soon be available in the store for a ridiculously high gold price. Sitting on a mountain of earned gold with nothing to do with it? Enjoy. Looking for a reason to keep playing more? Now you have it.
The initial new foils that are available are:
IS: Barbarian Elite, Exorcist
FS: Mangleshell, Tide Master
KF: Elven Fury, Centaur Regulator
ST: Lonx Defender, Ferren Snowspinner
UD: Bok Enforcer, Scorched Dwarf
SL: Draksar High Priest, Krikkinwing
FW: Lich King, Elsari Reaper
SP: Cyclonic Fesh, Cyclops Battlefiend
Client
User Interface
When not using a controller, activated abilities will now show an indicator for what cooresponding keyboard number will activate the ability (or A for attack)
Fixed an issue in which the label that said "AP:" on activated ability buttons would not appear on certain resolutions
Fixed an issue in which the objectives in the objective tracker in campaigns and tutorials were smaller than intended
Fixed an issue in which the name of bots showed up as "bot" with a number rather than correctly showing the name of the current campaign encounter (or "Skirmish!")
DEV NOTE: my apologies to user "Bot109272". If it's any consolation, I still think your name is funny
Art & Effects
Fixed an issue in which certain visual effects based on a champion's position would not appear in the right spot depending on which way the unit was facing
Fixed an issue in which the champion Risen Grenadier would not show its Turtled animation due to a misnamed file.
Fixed an issue in which special hero equipment for certain heroes would not appear on those champions. This affects Ash the Bandit Prince, Mosharn the Barricade, Zeventrech, Magnus the fallen, Mangleshell, and Garin the Sharpfang.
Fixed an issue in which after a champion was no longer turtled, it would go back into the turtled pose until another animation played.
Added over 100 more pieces of high resolution rune art.
Sound
Fixed an issue in which the ability Assassinate had no impact sound
Added new sounds for Disease Breath and Grand Entrance (thanks again to SAForg)
Lobby
The Profile page is now opened with the Back/Select/View button (or pressing the Pad on a DualShock/Dualsense) rather than the Right Trigger
Rune & Deck Manager
Champion Runes in the Deck Manager collection now show their selected upgrade abilities if applicable (for levelled champions). Invalid selections (upgrades selected before a rune was changed) will appear as blank spots until the champion is modified and in that case the game will pick the standard upgrade choice as normal.
Did a general cleanup pass on the Deck Manager collection screen to fix various issues (for example, the level star ui appearing on Spells, Relic, and Equipment)
Marketplace
Fixed issues preventing the display of items that are not Packs when opening the items after purchase in the marketplace (i.e., Decks, Campaigns, Avatars, etc)
Updated the display of runes from opening packs to better match the look and feel of runes elsewhere in the game and have more crisp text display as well as fixing issues with incorrect text sizes and inconsistent font choices
Game Mechanics
The number of runes revealed per turn is now 2 for ranked 1v1 matches
The initial rune draw for 1v1 player vs player matches is now 6.
DESIGN NOTE: Shrine Scry will remain, but instead of having a large number of initial runes (was previously increased to 10 from 8), there is now a smaller initial amount of revealed runes with the original rune rate.
Shrine Mulligan no longer has a Nora cost for player 1.
DESIGN NOTE: With the lower initial rune draw, Mulligan is now free for both players in order to make sure each player potentially has champions available for play on turn 1.
Shrine Scry is now available in Solo Campaigns and Bot Skirmish matches.
DESIGN NOTE: Upon review, there is no reason to restrict Shrine Scry from Solo campaigns and Skirmish games. If anything, it will counteract any changes made to various runes that have made campaigns harder.
DESIGN NOTE: Fortify will still not be available in Solo Campaigns and Bot Skirmish matches for balance reasons.

Client hotfix
This client hotfix fixes the following issues:
Fixed an issue in which the ability Trickster could cause a unit to visually remain in place for the opponent and would block movement but was potentially not actually at that location. Trickster will now correctly make the unit stealthed and be removed from the map for the opponent. NOTE: it is possible that other effects, spells, or abilities could cause this behavior, and it should be fixed for those cases as well.
Fixed an issue in which the spell Fairy Dust would not show a visual effect when cast on a location that did not have an champion occupying it
Fixed a few cases of incorrect or missing combat logs
Fixed some cases of incorrect descriptions
Added more high-resolution art for various frequently used runes based on the most used runes in the month of April
Client hotfix and Shrine Scry tweaks

User Interface
Added a button below the rune dock to use Shrine Scry on your turn.
Artwork & Effects
Added additional high resolution artwork for commonly used runes

Initial rune draw for 1v1 player vs player matches is now 10 (was 8)

Fixed an issue that caused the space under the mouse cursor or controller position to not show a highlighted location when a unit was selected.
Fixed an issue that could cause ability activations to not show up in some cases when playing skirmish matches against bots
Sounds and Effects
Added additional sounds for a few abilities
Game Mechanics
Matched Play
The number of runes revealed per turn is now 1 for ranked 1v1 matches
In ranked 1v1 matches, the ability Shrine Scry is now available on Shrines and has the effect of: Your shrine loses 7 HP and one of your runes is revealed. (CD1)
In ranked 1v1 matches, the ability Fortify is now available on Shrines and has the effect of: For 2 turns, all damage dealt to your shrine is prevented. (CD10)

* Fixed an issue that would cause a crash when using a unit with the ability Tangle * Fixed more incorrect text

* Fixed an issue in which the ability Toss Equipment would return equipment to the runedock upon use rather than keeping it in play. * Train: Arctic Camo changed to: Target friendly champion within 5 spaces permanently gains Arctic Camouflage (When this unit is damaged by a ranged attack while it is occupying Snow or Ice, reduce that damage by 2). This ability costs 2 nora. * Train: Damage changed to: Target friendly champion within 5 spaces permanently gains +2 DMG. This ability costs 3 nora and does not stack. * Train: Damage Shield: Magical changed to: Target friendly champion within 5 spaces permanently gains Damage Shield: Magical 3 (When this unit is attacked, if the attack is a close-combat attack, the attacking unit takes 6 Magical damage. This damage ignores DEF). This ability costs 3 Nora. * Train: Defense changed to: Target friendly champion within 5 spaces permanently gains +1 DEF.
