Recently, we have started working on global rebalances to make gameplay more effective, interesting, and understandable for players of all levels. The tower system was redesigned before the start of the current season. That change brought some new tactics to the game and made fighting the creeps and other players more interesting.
Today we would like to tell you about the next stage — planned changes in the Hero system that will come to the game by the start of the next season.

As you have noted on more than one occasion, not every tower or spell can get proper bonuses from Heroes, which affects their effectiveness in battle. For example, the damage increase for Meteor is a bonus that, in players' opinion, does not correspond to the tower's concept and its application.
Besides, it is not uncommon to encounter a situation where green heroes gave more bonuses than blue ones, and that leads to confusion. It is expected, after all, that rarer heroes are more effective than their less rare counterparts.
Even more, not every tower and spell has a hero with bonuses just for them.

1. Card groups


For towers and spells to get the necessary and useful bonuses from the Heroes, we:
have divided them into groups according to the bonus type,
have picked a hero lineup for every group with bonuses to the necessary parameters,
and, finally, have made a change that will let the Hero rarity to not only impact the main parameter but also give even more bonuses.

Also, now the Hero rarity determines the cards of which color will get the Hero bonus — the higher is the tower or spell's rarity, the rarer should be the Hero to give them bonuses.

- Green Heroes will give a bonus to one parameter for cards up to special ones;
- Blue Heroes will also give a bonus to one parameter but with a higher percentage than Green ones have and for cards up to epic ones;
- Purple Heroes will give a bonus to two parameters for cards up to legendary ones;
- Red Heroes will also give a bonus to two parameters but with a higher percentage than Purple ones and for all cards in the group;
- And the highest level, Red Heroes. They will give the highest bonus to two parameters and additionally increase the number of towers or spell upgrades in battle.

As for specific groups and bonuses to card parameters:
- For Direct Damage groups (Machinegun, Tower of the Sun, Minigun, etc.), Area Damage (Mortar, Electric Tower, etc.), Prime Towers and Anti-Totems (Prime Cannon, Detonator, etc. ), Against Flying Enemies (Incandescent Core, etc.), and Against Underground Enemies (Indestructible Idol, etc.) the damage and rate of fire will be increased;
- For a Fire Group (Volcano, Dragon Tower, etc.) and a Poison Group (Hornet Hive, Colony of Bats, etc.) the damage and effect duration will be increased;
- For Slowdown (Time Warp, Frost Guard, etc.) the slowdown effect and range will be increased;
- For Curses (Curse, Spider Nest, etc.) the curse effect and its duration will be increased;
- For Stunning (Flaming Cannon, Meteor, etc.) and Fear (Banshee Tower, League Shiny Crest, etc.) the chance of applying the effect and its duration will be increased;
- For Special Towers ​​(Purifier, Tower of Order, etc.) the damage and duration will be increased;
- For Enhancements (Aim Tower, Deadly Strike, etc.) the effect strength and range will be increased.

Thus, every tower and spell will get useful bonuses from the Hero, and their effectiveness will increase depending on the Hero, even with additional improvements in battle at the mythic level.
It will make the system clear, intuitive, and allow players to transition more smoothly to high-level towers and spells. And at level 90 they will be able to consciously use mythical cards in the most effective combinations.

In addition to dividing the Heroes into groups to strengthen towers and spells, we have put some Heroes into groups based on battle strategies. They will give significant bonuses to all towers and magic, but at the same time, the player can take only one group bonus into battle.

2. Changes in Card Upgrade


Now, experience for cards can be obtained in two ways: in battle or through merging cards with each other.
The card gets more experience from the Session, but firstly, a non-upgraded (therefore, ineffective) tower or spell is often taken into battle, and secondly, you cannot upgrade Heroes in battle.
At the same time, very little experience is given when merging cards, the mechanics behind the process is opaque and not clear.
Players quite often complain about these problems and ask us to make a convenient way to level up cards. And in the upcoming update, we will make it happen! To make it more simple and convenient, now the merging will be the main way to upgrade cards. It will be the same for all card types. Plus it became much more convenient with the latest interface changes. The experience increase in battle will also be there, but it will remain more as a pleasant bonus than the main way of upgrading.

Of course, the amount of experience when merging will be significantly increased. Besides, to make it clearer, we have changed the calculation formula:

Now each card gives the same amount of experience for each rarity, regardless of the level of its evolution. The higher the rarity, the more experience will be obtained
If the same cards are merged then the amount of experience will be greatly increased.
Feeders (Hammers and Emblems) will serve as jokers and give an additional increase when they are merged with any other cards.
All bonuses from Heroes and ship talents will also affect the amount of experience gained.

Moreover, if some of the cards used for the merging already have some amount of previously gained experience, it will be summed up and added to the current merge, but neither bonuses from Heroes, ship talents, nor the multiplier from the same cards will apply to it.

Besides, since the cards of high rarity give much more experience than before, the requirements for getting experience also increased. The higher the rarity, the more experience you will need to reach level 90.

So, for the next Season, we have planned one of the most anticipated changes in the game — the crafting system! :) We will tell you about this and the planned resource mines remake later.

This update brought game engine improvement. This important change will help us optimize game performance on a number of devices, fix some bugs and add new features in the future ːsteamhappyː


The Apple ID login option was added


There are two new towers in the game that will help you fight underground enemies!

  • League Mermaid's Tower. As a league bonus, now the tower can attack and stun (within a certain range) underground creeps.

  • League Indestructible Idol. As a league bonus, the main damage of this tower is increased by 20%.


You can get them in special events. Do not miss the opportunity!



  • The Indestructible Idol (and its League version) now attacks underground targets first. Thus, the tower will show its true potential much better on maps with underground enemies, even if the waves are released one after the other.

  • The League Underground predator now attacks non-poisoned targets first. Thus, it will improve the poison spread among the creeps, and it will deal much more damage.




  • Fixed the bug with the Prime Injector and Deadly Strike spell that increased the League Seismic Slammer's bonus damage, but not the main damage.

  • Fixed the bug with the League Fog Tower that did not highlight targets in fog.

  • Fixed the bug with the runes inventory that, when full, did not allow the player under Level 8 to go into battle;

  • Fixed the bug when some players could not find the All-Purpose Gears shards;

  • Fixed the bug with UP marker that showed up on some cards even if they could not be upgraded.

Dear friends!

As you already know, the update 1.8.8 brought global rebalances to the game. Unfortunately, several nasty bugs also crept in, and because of that, the game balance turned out completely different from what we originally planned.

We have fixed these bugs in today's hotfix and, at the same time, re-launched the season. There were several reasons for this decision.

First of all, we would like to avoid a situation where a player could rise to a level that they would not normally be able to reach because their Towers dealt an abnormally high amount of damage.
Besides, we want the contest to be as fair and competitive as possible throughout the season. Gaining the rating points too easily contradicts these plans and may lead to a situation where players could raise the mines’ level so high that it would be impossible to catch up with them.

However, we, of course, will not roll back your progress or rob you in any way of whatever you have gained during this time.

As a gratitude for your support, we have prepared a fair compensation for you, 300 Stars. You can collect them in your in-game mailbox.



  • Fixed the bug that greatly increased damage of some Towers (including their league counterparts): Deadly Poison Shooter, Dragon Tower, Sky Burner, Volcano, Pumpkin Gun, Hornet Hive, Colony of Bats. Now their damage corresponds to the original plan.

  • Fixed the bug with a double bonus that the Volcano and Pumpkin Launcher received from the Heroes Vixen and Fire Fox.

  • Fixed the bug with the Colony of Bats that increased the Tower range, instead of the damage when you upgraded this Tower in battle.

  • Fixed the bug that did not stack the damage increase from the Deadly Strike and the same effect from the Prime Injector or the Aim Tower.

  • Fixed the bug where slowing down effects did not stack up.

  • Fixed the bug with the UP marker that would appear on cards even if they could not be upgraded.

The game rebalances, which we talked about earlier, have appeared in the game today. Now the towers and magic cards are much more in line with the idea of collectivity and the Tower Defense genre.

Besides, many systems have become more understandable, logical and comfortable.


Now when you receive or purchase more than 3 chests, you can see all the chests loot immediately.

Now there is a legendary analog of the players' favorite Deadly Strike in the game — Merciless Strike. Using this magic increases tower damage by 25%.

You can get it in special events. Do not miss it!


The card management has become much more convenient — now you can control the fuse and sale with the accuracy of one card, even in shards!

  • In the multisell and fuse interfaces, you can now see two new buttons — '+1' and '+max'. They will help you control the selection of runes and chards (in increments of one card) when you sell or fuse them.

  • Also, now at the very top of the window in the multisell interface, you can see the amount and type of currency you will get by selling selected cards or shards.
    At the same time, if there are not enough shards for at least one card, selling such a pack will be impossible.


Now all the effects add up, but only if they come from different sources.

Thus, a 20% increase in damage from the Accursed Bastion, 20% from the Spider Nest, and 20% from the Curse will add up and will give a 60% increase in damage to the Creeps.
At the same time, 20% of one Accursed Bastion and 20% of another Accursed Bastion will not add up.

The same goes for tower buffs, damage over time, etc.


Now upgrading the Tower increases only the main impact parameter. For damage towers, this is damage, the strength of buffs or debuffs for support towers, and the chance of triggering for counter towers.



  • The towers have received an increase in damage (including league counterparts): Deadly Poison Shooter, Totem Bane, Dragon Tower, Machinegun, Sniper Tower, Ice Tower, Splitter, Deadly Prime Cannon, Machinegun MK2, Fire Tower, Air Guard, Mortar, Seismic Slammer, Spirit Tower, Detonator, Sky Burner, Underground Predator, Lightning Tower, Tower of the Sun, Volcano, Hornet Hive, Electric Tower, Prime Arrester, League Prime Thistle, Flying Cannon, Flying Saucer, Flying Spray, Sniper Rifle, Tornado Generator, Indestructible Idol, Incandescent Core, Ghost Tower, Pumpkin Gun, Colony of Bats, Tower of Chaos, Snowball, Festival Mortar, Petard Mortar, Minigun, The Queen.

  • The towers have received an increase in range (including league counterparts): Frost Tower, Detonator, Accursed Bastion, Frost Guard, Prime Injector, Snow Cannon, Tower of Order.

  • The towers have received a reduction in the rate of fire (including league counterparts): Spray Tower, Seismic Slammer, Flying Cannon, Tornado Generator.

  • The towers have received an increase in the rate of fire (including league counterparts): Electric Tower, Flying Spray.



  • The League Underground Predator now spreads the plague among the underground Creeps (similar to what the Hornet Hive does to other Creeps);

  • The Flying Prime Arrester is now acting similar to the Lightning Tower. Thus, this tower received a new name — Flying Lightning Tower.


Magic cards will receive all the improvements (from the runes) at the start of the mission, instead of receiving one star at the beginning of every difficult level.


For your convenience, from now on the marker will be displayed in the following cases:

  • If the card can be upgraded (it is possible to increase the quantity parameter or evolve the card).

  • If there are enough shards to collect a card, and there is no such card in your collection yet.

  • If there are enough shards to collect a card, and the number of such cards in your collection has not reached its maximum.

  • Fixed the bug where, in some cases, the Creeps did not accumulate immunity to fear.

  • Fixed the bug where the Snowball's slowdown effect interrupted the Time Warp's slowdown.

  • Now, when you fuse or sell an even number of shards, the empty card will not disappear from your collection.


After watching videos, the UP marker may appear on the shard pack even if there are not enough of them to collect a card.
