Hi,
Please welcome, Bryant and Morgan to the team!..along with myself and Vince, we are now 4 and have some very exciting future plans for Primordian, so cool that it may feel like a new game by the time it's complete. More to come on this soon, but it is great to have 2 very talented developers who are also 100% VR.
Pictured is the game running with volumetric fog and lighting as one example as one of the items we will be adding in the future. There is also very small update today is just to fix a couple of issues such as removing the over bright HUD and correcting some bugs. Thank you everyone and look forward to bringing more news soon. The Evolving Game
TLDR Version - After total engine update, Primordian is being rebuilt from the ground up to be better, stronger, and faster before the final release.
Lots of news regarding plans for the final version of Primordian.
After recently completing all levels for the entire game, Parts 1, 2 and 3 to bring it to a complete state and plan for the major update (not released yet).
Then playing through many times with wishlist notes and many pages of feedback from the excellent thoughts on the forum and reviews so far from everyone playing in mind.
I was more than excited to be close to a final version.
However *dramatic music here*
It became very apparent that since the game started development almost 3 years ago, elements of the game engine needed major updates to achieve all the final goals and speed up the process.
Physics, lighting, terrain, Audio, VR components etc etc all stuck in the past. It was the only way forward to be able to deliver a more advanced gameplay and visuals and bring in new techniques for 2019.
This is always risky and a major undertaking. So with many backups safely tucked away the update process was started. It was indeed rough! The game fell down some stairs, was run over by a passing truck, washed down a drain pipe, floated out to sea in a huge storm and eventually came to rest on a remote beach, unconscious and gasping for air.
All that remained was the Levels for the game, sound, characters and weapons.
*end dramatic music*
Being rebuilt currently from the ground up for the super version of Primordian is, UI, Main Player, Combat, NPC's, Skills, VFX, Weapons, Ambient Creatures, Save Systems, Lighting, additional modes and basically everything.
New features will be added such add subtitles in many languages, English, German, Russian, French and Italian to start with.
The great news about this is that it is also a much faster process to rebuild, things that previously might take 6 days can be done in 6 hours and as a more polished version of its former self, thanks to hindsight, new tech, reviews and feedback.
Maybe even some secret additions that can't be talked about yet.
The game now has 0 errors, 0 bugs and runs very fast.
So,
To be it's best, I personally think the game should be an evolving thing that will just continue to evolve as VR technology evolves, to keep up, experiment, but also try to push some of the limits if possible into the future of new technology around the corner. Somehow along the way of the sheer amount of work I had forgotten about this idea and it was not until completing the game story that I had a chance to sit back and really assess it as a whole.
Then figured, since it's taken this long, it really needs to be done perfectly, even if that takes a little longer.
Although I would love nothing more than for it to be complete tomorrow.
I can't state enough how much the support, ideas and words of those who have enjoyed the game in early access and also taken the time to comment on the good and bad about the game so far have helped to keep progress moving along but also to really give the drive to make it absolutely the best version of itself it can be.
What I was seeing of the game once all put together was not close enough to perfect, so apologies for the extended delay in bringing out the final version but I believe once everyone finally gets a chance to play it from the beginning again you will see it was very well worth while.
So what does this all mean? when will it be done, how much will things change.
The honest answer is, not sure just yet, and a lot:)
Thank you everyone!

Progress and News
Hi,
Part Three of the game is progressing well. It has been a little while since an update but everything is moving along.
The game has now been in early access for over one year! wow, It was never the plan to spend so long, but hearing all of the great thoughts and ideas for the game from the day it was released right up to now has meant a huge amount of time spent going over and over the first few hours of the game. Well worth it also I think and so wanted to thank everyone who has supported, enjoyed and also contributed ideas to the game so far. Thank you also for your patience as the last important section is added.
Even though the game has been in early access for 1 Year, it took 2 years to get to the point of first release in Jan 2018. So after three years and now that work is commencing on the very final scene and Boss fight, it's quite a strange feeling that seemed so far way all those years ago:)..
New weapons for Part Three are going to be pretty interesting, hopefully!. The first Rapid fire rifle in the game and a boomerang style weapon. Both seen in the image above.
There are also some really cool music Tracks created by Vince that have gone into Part Three that really make the final scenes and give them that special mood.
In other news Primordian was voted "Best Alien World" in the The VR365 Game of the Year Awards 2018. If you are into VR and want a great fun daily news show check out VR365.
Thank you also to everyone who has taken the time to leave a review of the game, reading them has been a huge motivation at times when It was really needed:)
What will be added in Part three of the game is probably the most interesting and unique parts of the game so far..can't wait to have them out to you.
Will keep updates coming and thank you again everyone!.

KNOWN ISSUES
There are a couple of known issues that will be fixed over the next few updates, including - Teleport polish, it is possible to teleport anywhere currently, not ideal and so over the next few updates a restricted path for Teleport will be added to all levels,
Floating when dashing on steep hills,
Occasional Xbow staying active,
Menu pointer will lose focus when removing HMD correct this by entering a level and coming back (fix coming soon).
Check your graphic setting mode from time to time as it is possible for the game to drop to a lower setting sometimes (no f’n idea why! but will be fixed)
GUARDIAN MODE
The new gameplay mode Guardian is very close to ready but since it was feeling very fun even in the current state I want to take the time it needs to make it more awesome and present it in a new update as soon as possible. Some images of new levels can be seen in video above.
PART THREE
Part Three free update of the game is coming together and will be the next big item after Guardian mode. Some scenes from Part Three can be seen in the above video, and one scene has been included with this current update as a kind of preview, for no reason other than It seemed like a good moment to add as a break between action.
NEXT STEPS
Improvements and changes will continue at the same time as completing the new mode and Part Three of the story.
Part Two of the story is still in a first version state and will be review and improved also.
Some levels have been removed from this update and will appear later in the story.
Much more to come, thank you again everyone and hope the mega update is enjoyable.
A small note is that many things have changed early on in the game also, so it’s a good time to start the game again from scratch if it’s been a while since you played.

UPDATE NEWS
Hi, in some update news, after going through every forum post and review for the game so far and compiling a huge list. I’m very happy to report that as of today, I believe in terms of features wanted and issues to be resolved, every single one is now complete and “almost” ready to go out in the mega update previously mentioned. I wanted to thank everyone again who has taken the time to leave thoughts, ideas, issues and reviews on the game over time. It has and will continue to be invaluable.
There are too many things to list here so i will include an extensive list on the day the update is out, not long now. I even found some time to add a whole bunch of “would love to have this” items, such as simulated weapon weight and player armor system.
PART THREE
In Part Three news, all levels for Part Three are now locked down and close to complete, this is very exciting to not only to have this ready to play, but because finally a very small crack of light now appears at the end of the “Early Access” tunnel. Images above and below.
GUARDIAN MODE
A new mode has also been in the works and is now far along, tentatively named “Guardian” A rotation of levels with different environments ranging from Desert to Snow covered temples. Using all weapons scattered through the area, defend a powerful Rune, important to the story, in order to use that Rune as a power up in the main Story mode.
Work in progress images below.
Looking forward to have this mega update complete soon, it is a different / improved experience.

Next Big Steps
Hi,
It's been a few weeks since an in game update, so wanted to talk about some plans.
The Final levels for Part Two are close to complete, they are quite complex and taking some time to polish, but will be worth it:).
However, recently there have been a lot of great mentions of some of the features, bug fixes and overall game wide things that need attention. So i've decided to really get all of those complete in one mega update.
The Update will include all of Part Two with cinematics, bosses etc.
All new Menu Cave area, seen in image above.
Every possible option requested for the game added and complete in the menu.
All Control Type, style options complete
New/improved melee combat system
Enemy AI changes
New Enemy types
Weapon Ammo use and pickups
All Known Bugs fixed
Many Many other things all taken from the collective list of requests.
Before then, coming asap will be a small update that fixes some critical bugs mentioned on the forum, Thank you everyone for that it helps so much!.:)
So this next update may take some time to come out, a little longer than usual because it is not worth doing so until it spot on, but when it does it will fundamentally change many things about the game. In the best ways, hopefully.! Please let me know on the forum if not also.
It's time to really start layering in the polish to all corners, so please bring up anything on the forum in the next few weeks that you feel may have been forgotten, overlooked or would just be cool to have and it will get in there:).
Thanks again everyone.
J
EDIT - An update is now out NOV 17, that fixes some of the small critical bugs, as mentioned above. The next update after this will be the Big One.
Another Three levels for Part Two added in Update
This update contains another three levels for Part Two.
"The Eye of the Path", "Dogs of the Edge" and "The Thorn"
It also contains a new weapon and some new enemies.
Many small bugs were fixed with previous Part Two levels.
As before, there may be a few small issues here and there that will all be ironed out as all of the Part Two updates are completed.
Hope you enjoy:)
Thank you everyone,
Here is a very small video of some of the things, did not want to give too much away.
J
Heavy combat, three new levels added for Part Two, named "The Feast", "Red Village" and "Monolith" were just added.
They include another new weapon in what might be the most combat heavy areas of the game so far. Be prepared.
As with last update these levels are still a work in progress and will be updated constantly.
Hope you enjoy, more on the way.
Small note, Part Two is not saving your progress at the moment, this is so you won't loose any progress in Part One of the story.
To jump straight to these new levels today, you can go to the back of the cave in "Your Path" and select "The Feast" to begin.

Next Two Levels on the way
Hi,
The next two levels of Part Two are coming in a few days.
Before the update, just wanted to show this screenshot of the next new weapon, the "Vacca".
It's a special one that has been planned from day one and very excited to finally be able to set it free into the wild!.
It can do some very strange things, but it's secrets may take some time to learn.
You will also be getting some quality 1 on 1 time with the new enemy, known as the "EccVah".
Look forward to have this update out very soon!
Thank you everyone:)
