It is the time to go back to work and deal with new tasks, challenges and bugs (in our case)!

Just before Christmas, we decided to redesign the skill tree. Old one was cool, but we wanted to have something more consistent. Our UI is still in progress but we can show you how it looks right now:

As you can see, we are still working on fonts and details, but the general look has changed a lot.

We want to remind you about the previous changes. Some time ago we redesigned briefing panel and added cool animated exp bar to it. Let's see:

Because xmas is coming and we love celebrating it, we have been preparing a new demo update connected to this celebration!

We have decorated our prison as always but one of the guards.. i think it was the same guy who had hidden sweets during the Halloween... he lost all of the christmas ornaments.

You can help us and find all of them to get something special! Winter achievement.

There are also many additional things like a new parcel texture. Prisoners also get gifts!

Hello Guards!

First and the biggest thing is that we have updated our demo! We fixed a few smaller bugs and achievements issues. Now everything should be fine!

We are still working on our Prologue. It is very important for us because we want to show you the best game we can! Riot has to be impressive and effective.

Going back to our demo, we prepared some surprises. We won't tell you what is that but if you find those easters you can let us know on our Discord.

And the last thing is... Congratulations for CD Projekt RED. They did it amazing! Cyberpunk 2077 will be an inspiration for many people. Long journey finished and they released one of the best games!

It is a tradition in our country to celebrate this day. We give each other a small gifts like sweets or something like that. Our prisoners also had a great time. Maybe it is only the beginning before something much bigger? Who knows.. who knows.

Bug fixes

We've fixed many bugs you reported on Discord or via email.

- Needle is no longer not reachable in a chocolate bar
- We have change a general balance
- Stats section in briefing is showing 4 the best stats of the day
- New Prisoners are fully implemented to the game

It is Friday (not Monday as always). What does it mean? We have something very important for you!

Recently, we've been working so hard and for a long time to change one of the key things in our game. We decided to recreate prisoners but with glasses, tattoos, hair and other elements of human traits!

It was not an easy task. We had to create new models, textures and rework our animation system. Those were months of work but! We did it. We change them, implemented and now we came to you to show you the results!

It is Monday again!

(It is our favourite welcome text lately)

We saw that some of you were a bit bored during the free time in Prison Simulator. For many months we’ve been developing new mini games and events you will have a chance to see soon. It is very important for us to listen to your requests and suggestions. This time it looked very similar.

Weapon cleaning station:

As you may know there are many weapons in our game. (More about weapons and their mechanics you will be able to see by playing our Prison Simulator: Prologue which will be available soon on Steam, for free.)

When you use your weapon it gets dirty and finally you have to clean it. We have prepared a special table in the shooting range. You just have to go there and choose the weapon you want to clean. Simple, isn’t it?

You have many tools available like compressed air, cloth and a ramrod.

There are also lock picking and camera fixing mini games.

We’ve been working on the monitoring routine recently. You have to go to the monitoring room, and use the computer. It will show you a few cameras around the whole prison. You can change the view, move the cameras and zoom in and out. If you see something suspicious you can report a prisoner to the nearest guard. There are many options for what you can do with a naughty convict.

Before releasing Prison Simulator: Prologue we have to be sure that we will show you much more than in the demo. You will see new routines, events, quests etc.

We've been making Prison Simulator for almost 3 years. It is so much time! During our development process many things changed and are a bit outdated. It is connected to both design and code parts.

We decided to refresh some elements which were created at the very beginning.
One of those things is User Interface. We know that it was very cluttered and not really matched.

First thing which needed a solid refresh was Briefing Panel. One of the oldest things in our game.

This update is slightly different from the ones you have seen so far. We will not focus on new mechanics or improved routines. Today we will show you the items you will be able to find in the vending machine or in the store. We will show you their statistics and the overall impact on the gameplay.

First meeting: Vending machine

You will find Vending machines in several places. The first one is a corridor near the passage to block B. The second one is in the social room and the third one in the infirmary.

Interact with one of them using the key (default: E) and see what you can buy.
On the left side you will see your inventory divided into two tabs: legal and illegal. On the right side you will see all items currently available for purchase.

When you click on an object, you will see its description.

Second meeting: store

The store is available in the warden's computer. It will be unlocked during one of the story days.
In the store you can buy many interesting improvements like cameras, showers, gym equipment or radio.
Many of your purchases affect the prisoners' respect.

You also have access to many colorful and unique skins. They also raise the level of your relationship with prisoners. After all, they can do much for you if you give them a comfortable bed.

Items in the vending machine:

Contains natural orange juice. Heals 300 HP

A refreshing taste that gives you strength until the end of the day! Increases the basic amount of HP points by 1000 until the end of the day.

Freshly squeezed orange juice. Strength straight from nature. Accelerates stamina regeneration by 0.25% by the end of the day. It cannot be combined with other bonuses that accelerate stamina regeneration.

Their intense onion flavor and aroma will overwhelm everyone! Increases your resistance to blows by 0.4% until the end of the day. It cannot be combined with other immunity bonuses.

High-quality chocolate with bio hazelnuts. Heals 1000 HP

The most genuine cheese and natural dyes were used to obtain this unique taste and aroma! Increases your resistance to blows by 0.2% until the end of the day. It cannot be combined with other immunity bonuses.

High-quality cocoa and milk from lucky cows give you the perfect chocolate. Heals 800 HP

It's so sour that it instantly renews stamina to 50%

You have been? What are you lying like that! Drink a multivitamin and get back to the living! Restores HP to 70%

Real food for boots! Let the Piri-piri pepper fire kick you! Increases attack strength by 0.25% during the day. One serving daily. It cannot be combined with other attack boost bonuses.

The most popular drink in our offer! Heals 1000 HP

Real food for real tough guys! Increases attack strength by 0.1% during the day! One serving daily. It cannot be combined with other attack boost bonuses.

Freshly squeezed juice from various fruits. Its naturally sweet taste accelerates stamina renewal by 0.75% by the end of the day. It cannot be combined with other bonuses that accelerate stamina regeneration.

Very nutritious bar. Heals 60 HP points every 5 seconds for 12 seconds. It cannot be combined with other healing bonuses.

A delicate milk filling will sweeten your bitter life after just one bite! Heals 800 HP

Fat snack. These taste best! Heals 1200 HP

Nuts enrich its taste and add nutritional value! Heals 1200 HP

Salty and greasy. It's best to bite off with something sweet afterwards. Heals 1500 HP

Its chocolate flavor allows you to forget about pain. Heals 600 HP

A delicate cake filled with caramel filling. The whole covered with milk chocolate. It's so caloric that it immediately heals 400 HP.

We are glad you played our Halloween demo update. Many of you unlocked special achievement! To get it you had to collect all candies hidden in the prison. Wow! You are awesome.

But Halloween time is ending. It won't be available soon.
Don't worry! We are working on another way how you can get this time-limited achievement if you are an achiev-hunter. More info will be published soon.

It is the time to take a look at Free Time.

A few days ago we asked you what do you think about our demo.
Your feedback is the most important for us, because without it we don't know what exactly we should improve.

Today, we want to focus on Free Time. Some of you said there are not many mini games, you have to do always the same and the longer you play the more boring it is.

In our demo you don't have access to all features.
You could visit shooting range, play darts and lift weights.

We want to tell you a bit more about activities, that will be available in full version.

1, Weapons cleaning

This mini game will be available in the shooting range. when the gun gets dirty, it may not work properly. On the shooting range you will find a special stand that will make the cleaning process easier. You will find there cloths, ramrod and all necessary tools. We are also working on different weapons to make this mini game interesting and various.

2. Lock picking

Sometimes prisoners like to destroy something. One of their favorite activities is clogging locks. Your task is to get rid of the problem. Can you do it? You need to get inside the lock to be able to fix it.

3. Clogged showers

During the shower routine one of the prisoners decided to push something into the shower headset. Great idea, You have to take care of it now. Remember to look well. Sometimes it is just sabotage and sometimes it is a great opportunity to hide something illegal.

4. Fix a broken camera

As a guard you want to know everything and see everyone. With the help of cameras it is even easy. But sometimes the cameras get damaged, hang up or just refuse to cooperate. Find a broken camera and look inside to fix it.

We think that those mini games will be fresh, interesting and you will have fun!

During the free time you will have vaious side quests to complete. You can get them from both quards and prisoners. They are connected to smuggling, finding lost items etc. Shhh! We don't spoil.

The last thing for today is that we completely changed the Collectibles system.

They have gained a new user interface, 3D preview and a panel in the journal, which allows you to check the progress and discover tips which will help you with the next items. The reward system has also been improved. For finding all 10 collectibles the player receives:

- $500 for the player (in-game currency)
- $500 for prison (in-game currency)
- a special skin for one of the items
- Steam's achievement.
