Project Maze MK1 Released!

Greetings!

Two weeks gone and what have been done:

New menu system.
Levels of difficulty for each type of maze.
Endlevel UI (replace GameOver screen).
New animations.
Gamepad support.
Achievements.
First full gamemode for multiplayer.

My schedule at main work goes crazy so i don't have much time to add and port some things. But i keep working at game, HO! Anyway plans at few weeks - finally done with multiplayer, add helper mode and all another to be honest. All will be added step by step with small updates, cause technically all already in game client, but disabled cause doesn't work correctly.

So let's talk about update. At first - new walls and textures for each type of maze.

Greetings screen and maze rules for each mode.

Second one difficulties. Normal - usual static maze, Advanced - procedure generated.

New animation - should looks cute :3

Gamepad support (here is could be problems with calling settings from pause menu, just recomend you use keyboard/mouse)


Now about what was disabled:
Survival Maze - troubles with AI.
Combined Maze - no resaon to enable it, bofore AI fixes.
Custom maze - player sometimes spawning in walls.
Multiplayer - errors with replication between clients.
Achievements - no time to draw it right now ;w;
Music (use own ~_~)

I'm happy to inform you about new update will released in next 2 week. Why so long? (you can ask), it's because adding new features made game client unstable plus i can't realise some features. So right now i'm rebuilding game from zero.

After update (codename MK1) game get:

  • New menu system.
  • Levels of difficulty for each type of maze.
  • Endlevel UI (replace GameOver screen).
  • New animations.
  • Gamepad support.
  • Achievements.
  • First full gamemode for multiplayer.

Project Maze Experimental Branch with Multiplayer

(steam) Game Properties->Beta tab->select experimental

It contains small map for testing network.

Project Maze Update 2

Maze Modes:
- Removed Ranged AI
[feedbacks say melee is enough]

Helper Module:
- Beacon mark now hidden.

Options:
- Added settings for Gamma and Brightness
[cause light really could be to shine for some players]

Maze Modes:
- Fixed random generation in Combined Maze
[now seed applying correctly and maze different every time].

Player:
- Added helper module, which show you the way to exit.
[Charge time: 120s / Active time: 25s]
