0.15HF2 - Ingame VR Menu + Teleport only modes

Teleport only modes added. Select from the very first menu, "Beginner" or "Advanced"
- Teleport only modes are limited to other teleport modes for multiplayer, and vice versa
- In this mode the teleport recharges much quicker (~2 seconds per use), in this mode you can also teleport onto ramps / stairs.
- There are of course, as per, things that will need tweaking in these modes, but it is totally separate from the usual modes to assist with this....


Finally, an in-game menu console for htc vive!

Lots of small interface tweaks including haptics for the majority of the ui
Some level lighting and perf tweaks, hazardous should run better now...
New material for Aspid and Sniper. Aspid is the base line for the quality i am aiming for.
Fixed animations for Instagib Sniper Rifle.
Tweaked Stapler to have longer cooldown, and slightly larger projectiles to make it easier to see.



Some things worth noting:
I have been looking for some replacement art for some of the weapon models, i had planned to change some of these.
I spent a bit of time experimenting with faster speeds in the movement modes and have decided that, well, that was a terrible idea, even for a VR veteran such as myself. I wont be making any mutators or power ups to make the movement faster.

New!:

Added option in SteamVR to launch directly into seated mode, use this on the rift, or on the vive if you just want seated.

"Toy Soldiers" Experiment Mutator for VR - Sets view to third person and adjust's the world scale in the headset so that everything looks small. Best played seated, possibly with a control pad, does work with standing, how ever that is a very buggy at the current stage.
Highly recommend giving this a go if you want to see something "differnt"



General:
Added character self shadows for Non VR and Seated VR
Improved 3rd person mode, improved all weapon tracing from this
Improved 3rd person mode, now plays great with a control pad, and VR
Control pad tweaks
3rd person targeting improved, enabled for every weapon if in 3rd person, and doing so will steady your aim...
Add fire animations to pistol and sniper rifle
Fixed buggy jump animations
AI now aims correctly at your face, because its pretty!
Fixed crouch and slide in non-vr

VR:
Improved HUD visibility, no longer clips through walls, is more stable
Improved weapon laz0r sight
Improved crosshair
Improved sniper scope
Tweaked all weapon positions to be 1-1 to vive controller trigger


Seated VR:
Fixed camera pitch bug
Fixed slide

Lots of stuff, here is a big list!

General:
NEW MAP! DM-Ruins, designed as a cover shooter map for VR. This map is also insanely good for the Parkour mode in Non VR :)
New Pistol animations
Fixed lava damage sounds
Fixed projectile impact decal bug on meshes
Assault now starts with full ammo
Tweaked Stapler Gun vfx, sfx, speed
Tweaked AI mesh scale to be more "Real"
Death camera now stays on pawn, added shattered glass post effect on death

Standing VR:
Added trackpad movement option! (Settings -> Input -> Config Motion)
Added Motion Controller preset's for differnt preset controls similar to the gamepad ones, your preset is saved as soon as you select it...
FOV reducer is now just either on or off. Effect is now also more apparent.
All first person weapon scales tweaked in VR, and hand mesh sizes tweaked
Improved Haptic Feedback
Improved laser sight for Assault Rifle and Sniper Rifle
Improved sniper scope, fixed bugs with some distant objects not showing (hold down grip on right hand when using sniper rifle)
Fixed bug that allowed teleportation through invisible walls
Fixed death camera so HUD is still visible and rotation remains consistent


Seated VR, Non VR:
Fixed some camera roll issues in seated vr
Improved AI in Time Tag mode
Added fancy post effect when tagged in time tag (freeze!)
Tweaked info message hud fonts
Fixed crash caused by weaponbar


Known Issues:
Sliding in Non VR and Seated VR is now a bit bugged
Camera roll in Seated VR Parkour is not very smooth
AI still sucks, but is getting better, it is pretty "dumb" on purpose ;)




PLANS FOR THE COMING MONTH:
Full body IK, and possibly new arms/hands for Standing VR (very soon! and i promise to fix the bot aim to look nicer :)
Another new DM map, with another new theme, that can be re-purposed as a horde mode map
New shotgun model
New Photongun model
Some new meshes for some of the pickups
Invisibility power up on the new map ;)
More variety for Horde AI + Horde character models\
Improved replay features *in vr*

Been very busy working on the next patch, lots of changes, good ones too!

Here is some sneaky preview shots of the next map,
DM-Ruins, which will be featured in the patch, which if all goes to plan, will be out in a few days.

The map provides a pretty sweet cover shooter experience, while still keeping up with things such as a few trick jumps for KB/Mouse players.

Patch Notes: Protonwar 0.14

This patch brings in a new mutator, which I'm hoping the casual audience will enjoy, and some well-needed features. Along with a bunch of nice fixes.

Work has been going on for a new map called DM-Ruins (currently) Which is designed as a tactical / cover shooter map, featuring lots of cover, 2 elevators, and an epic health right in the center of the map. It is also designed as being almost symmetrical, and should make a good team/ctf map once we expand on those modes.
This map should be in the next patch, after a bit more playtesting. Sooooooooon ;)


New "Killer Focus" mutator, for a unique, more tactical gameplay in duels, or a more casual DM match. When a player gets a kill, they are highlighted to everyone, until they die, the highlight can be seen through walls (x-ray vision ;)




Unreal 4.13 engine upgrade (woot)

Added haptic feedback for weapons!

The character now has hands in the motion control modes, instead of vive controllers.

Energy gauge moved to the top part of the left hand, like you are looking at a watch :-)
Teleport improved, now behaves better and looks better. Still, more work to do on the visual side of this...
Burst rate decreased for AI fire
Increased time between spawns
Ragdolls now fade out (also behave amazingly in the low grav mutator)
Fixed decal spawn bugs on certain meshes
Decreased "Arm Swing" smoothing slightly
Lowered splash damage radius on Photon gun
Decreased / Removed the slight recoil that the Reaper had
Fixed non-vr offsets for instagib weapon and time dilation gun
