Left handed support now added! This can be selected by going into the input presets menu, and selecting one of the left handed options! :)
Teleport now replaced with "Dash" similar to what is seen in Raw Data...
--If this dash makes people feel too ill, i will add a camera fade in on the beginner mode...

Protonwar - 0.17 HF1 - Default movement mode change + Reflex Sight + Left hand stabilizing grip :)
IMPORTANT NOTICE! The default movement mode has now been changed to the trackpad mode as it has been greatly improved recently and plays very well.
You can increase/decrease the walking forward speed by adjusting how far away from your body you are holding the controller, close for a slow walk, out in front of you for a run.
There is now proper physics interaction with weapons, you can grip your weapon with your left hand for secondary grip! (left hand grip button)
The laser sight is now gone.
The laser dot, is lit up by holding down the scope button (right controller menu button)
There is a new sight on the Aspid, the model for this is not final.
Misc changes:
Improved lighting on weapon models (they now look like they used to before the render change :)
Added ammo icon onto gun so you can easily remember which colored ammo is for each gun (very simple)
Added bullet shell casing effects for Aspid, Stapler, Shotgun, Sniper, Instagib
Added scope for instagib rifle
Increased time between shots on Rocket

Protonwar - 0.17 MSAA + NEW LEVEL + IMPROVED TRACKPAD and much much more!
(Slightly technical notes, sorry :)
MSAA NOTES:
With this patch i have moved to the new forward render path in the engine. This means a few things, the best being that we can now use MSAA in VR, so the image looks much cleaner!
Set the AA settings in the settings menu accordingly, I recommend Medium, if you want a cleaner image than that you get better quality/perf by then increasing the resolution scale.
I recommend with AA enabled that you keep to the default 140% screen percentage in VR on low/mid end, 160 is good for high end.
There is a trade off that comes with this though, this trade off is that lighting is not as realistic. And i have had to remove some of the special effects.
I think this trade off is 100% worth it though as the game is just looking fantastic now!
I have had to re-do all the lighting, so there will be room for improvement here as i am still 100% learning how to best light a scene in the new renderer.
This is also why the patch is so large! Lightmaps/Textures take lots of space! :D
NEW LEVEL!
This patch also includes a new map DM-Overgrown. Similar in concept to DM-Ruins, but with nicer graphics ;). It is a nice outdoor level, and the first to use foliage :)
The foliage is COSTLY though, in VR when there is lots going on.
I've spent a large amount of time optimizing it, but i think that is about as far as i can go for now while keeping it dense enough :)
Other Fixes and Improvements:
Lots of small tweaks here and everywhere in the maps
All backend movement code rewritten / optimized
Fixed strafing on Trackpad movement
**Trackpad forward movement speed is now also controlled using the distance of the controller relative to the player (yes, like Onward)**
Increased Rocket jump height
Improved Rocket/Grenade explosions
Squashed more bugs!

Protonwar - 0.16HF4 Fixes
The last patch made a few issues with some things, so i have fixed them up and pushed this patch up...
General:
Photon mesh changed a bit and rescaled to look bigger
Fixed AI weapon jams
Tweak AI aiming a bit more
Now using texture streaming, idea is to free up some texture mem
Standing VR fixes:
Fixed weapon kickback, now also kicks back when scoped, but MUCH less.
Tweaked teleport visuals to be less intrusive and to correctly line up with camera location
Death camera is now 100% the way i wanted it again, last patch had caused a bug with this.
Last hotfix for this release as in the next patch there will be another new level. ooooooooooooo!
Protonwar - 0.16HF3 10/11/2016 - Skynet is getting smarter...
BIG AI improvements, This fixes lots of the annoying things with the AI (still more left to fix, this is a big job ;)
including: cover behavior
better retreat behaviors
better low ammo / health behaviors
better enemy selection handling
These changes *will* make it harder, but that is something we can tweak, it will improve the experience with bot play quite a bit.
Fixed a lot of teleport collision bugs on DM-Abyss
Fixed a lot of rotation issues with the room scale mode, this fixes some weirdness that was happening surrounding teleports and collisions...
Fixed some laser sight lag on offical servers
Small fixes on Aerowalk, Castle, Trinity Station...

Added new music from The Mechanism. http://themechanism.co.nz !
Added basic weapon interactions, dropping and picking up weapon in VR,
This is done using the GRIP button on the right controller.
"Zoom" button has had to be moved, this is now the system button...
- Weapon is dropped as drop item
- anyone can pick it up
- after 120 seconds of a drop it will automatically return to your inventory
- when picked up player gets given all the ammo that the previous owner had for that weapon
- share weapons with your team mates etc!
- to pick back up, hold your right hand next to the item and press grip again
- This is just the beginning for this and will get more work done allowing you to throw weapons at people and damage them etc...
- other thing on the to do list, is to add a holster for the stapler so you can quickly holster and change to that, and perhaps the assault rifle as well
Scoreboard in VR moved to menu console to accommodate new zoom/scope button...
Added gamepad sensitivity options for vert and horz look sensitivity
New ragdoll VFX
Various bug fixes, cleaning up some rare exceptions...

0.15HF3 - Bling!
Hi guys!
Did a couple of things over the weekend i wanted to push out here as they improve the experience.
First off, i have added another official server for Asia Pacific. It had some technical issues, but these are resolved now.
Both official servers are Holo DM, 30 minute matches rotating on all levels.
Other fixes, and stuff: Floating damage text and kill streak text improved / added for VR.
Materials replaced on Pistol, Shotgun, Grenade, Rocket, Sniper weapons.
Horde bug fixed, that was preventing you from entering the final zone fixed, so you can now finish horde games again!
Enemy size tweaked.
More bandwidth improvements / tweaks.
Right! Time to take a day off for once and play Gears of War!

Teleport only modes added. Select from the very first menu, "Beginner" or "Advanced"
- Teleport only modes are limited to other teleport modes for multiplayer, and vice versa
- In this mode the teleport recharges much quicker (~2 seconds per use), in this mode you can also teleport onto ramps / stairs.
- There are of course, as per, things that will need tweaking in these modes....
Finally, an in-game menu console for htc vive!
Lots of small interface tweaks.
Some level light / perf tweaks, hazardous should run better now...
New material for Aspid and Sniper. Aspid is the base line for the quality i am aiming for.
Fixed animations for Instagib Sniper Rifle.
