Update 1.2.0! The Biggest Update Of Them All!
Security protocols have tightened, and new algorithms have been implemented. You cannot beat the system, hacker.

Coinciding with the Launchiversary of Proxy - Ultimate Hacker, HUNDREDS of new hacking grid combinations have been added, giving you far more security challenges to overcome!


... And so many more!

Now go forth and do some damage.

Update 1.1.0!
You thought the Year of Updates was over? Well you thought wrong! It's the 1.1.0 update! No more smaller fraction numbers!

This update adds multiple endings. Oh my! I can't get into spoilers, which is why the NEW achievements are hidden (oh yeah, there are new achievements), but here's a few hints:

- Turn the tables on a certain client
- Restore what was altered

There's quite a few combinations out there. Can you find them all?

Steam Trading Cards are here!
At last, Steam Trading Cards have arrived! There are tips in a few, and others have neato pictures. Neato is a technical term that is very, uh, technical.

In any case, happy collecting!

Thus beings the Year of Updates!
Yep! This is going to be the Year of Updates. We're going to start with a small update bringing with it a few new options.


  • Ability to adjust brightness/contrast in the options menu!
  • New tutorial error message so you don't get stuck!
  • Hacking grid will always load with the Start node in view, neato!
  • More exclamation points!!!

Update 1.0.9
Happy launchiversary! The mad scientist behind Proxy has truly lost it this time.

The problem with updating late-game content is the potential for spoilers in the patch notes, so there's some items that I can't share. You can't see them, but they're there!

Let's get to the notes!


  • Fixed a small bug in [REDACTED]
  • Older saves with "Change Data" jobs will transfer over properly
  • Fixed two problems with [REDACTED] (a different [REDACTED] though)
  • Threw in an extra piece of content, because why not?
  • Learned of a new optimization, HAD to implement it, despite the game not even needing it. I think I might have a problem.
  • Oh right, text in the game will no longer be raycasted against


You know, when you think about it, optimizing something pointlessly is still saving processing cycles, which in turn saves electricity, right?

And by saving electricity, you don't use as much of our planet's precious resources, thus saving the environment. You're a hero, basically.

Teeny Tiny Update
99.9% of you will have never even encountered this bug, but for the 0.1% of you out there, this one's for you.

I can't say what it is because it would contain spoilers, just know that the fix is there, and it loves you.

Patch 1.0.8 is out!
New graphics! New achievements! New graphics FOR achievements!

  • Say hello to the new Start node! It will guide you on your hacking journey. Treat it well.
  • The achievement to hack nodes now has a platinum level. So get going!
  • Two hidden achievements have been added. Can you find them?
  • The images for the achievements should no longer have the white border (transparency is hard, okay?)
  • Some bug fixes, too! Imagine that.

Update 1.0.7
Rejoice! New things! Let's get right to it, shall we?

  • Eliminated the options popup dialog when you hit play
  • Replaced with in-game options! (Check out the new menu by selecting the gear!)
  • Do you not care for how Americans spell certain words? Prefer color to Color? Well start caring because there's a new language button on the title screen for UK* English!
  • This opens up the door for all sorts of language translations. Post your requests in the forums!
  • Updated the Alex AI.
  • Most Useless But Most Proud of: A new zoom feature for the Network Map. It properly zooms in on the center of the screen and remembers your position. Took weeks to do!



* The UK Translation affects only the spellings of words. It does not account for any colloquialisms or sayings that might seem out of place. I would appreciate any feedback on this in the forums.

Update 1.0.6
What? New stuff? That's impossible, I don't believe it!

Well believe it, fictional person, because here's a list of changes!

  • New "Glossary" of terms! Check it out by clicking the "?" button in the upper right.
  • Changed the hacking "trap" to block only the grid, allowing you to apply stop timers or even false alarms to skip it.
  • To compensate for this ease of difficulty, the False Destination Locator has had its price greatly increased.
  • Decreased the Job Deadlines a little bit; they were too long
  • Corrected a typo, but I'm not going to tell you where.
  • Added a faint icon to the background of external computers, what could it be?

Also, there is a large improvement to how all lists are displayed. What's that? You didn't have any problems running the game as-is? Too bad, you're getting an optimization anyway! Mwahaha!
