It's been quite a while now since we released Psych from Early Access along with the last and fifth chapter. We've watched a lot of videos, opinions and feedback and we're very happy that it was so well received! Once again, we were able to learn a lot and gather a lot of ideas. There may be more translations to come in the future, but for now we have something we'd like to share with you.... our new project!
We would like to invite you to Midnight Heist, a co-op horror adventure game where you can go on a heist alone or with up to three other friends as a novice hacker! You can already visit Midnight Heist's Steam page and add it to your wishlist so you don't miss the upcoming release.
With Midnight Heist, we want to create an entirely new co-op experience that takes consistent and, most importantly, fun elements from previous games and combines them with interesting innovations. With the two main themes of hackers and thieves, which we think go very well together, we want to offer a unique gaming experience. Through Psych, we have been able to gain a lot of experience to now create a great multiplayer game better than ever, together with you, our community. On the Steam page you can find all further information, which we will constantly update during the development. Features will change and improve over time as we are in the middle of development, however, as with Psych, we will involve you heavily and introduce things one by one to build on your feedback.
We're really looking forward to showing you more soon!
Until then, Dan and Andreas
Update 1.1 - Savepoints & Performance
Hello together!
In this update we fixed the savepoints in the sewers and added even more in the first part of it. Also we've improved performance in the sewers and subway.
We will continue to work on our new project, of which we will release the store page soon in December, so stay tuned!
Thank you for your support, Andreas & Dan
Update V1.0.1 – More languages & bug fixes
Hello together!
As announced, we have added the languages Russian, Turkish and Spanish and fixed some of the bugs you reported, such as the disappearance of the power box in the power house.
In the next update, which will come in the next few days, we will fix the save points in the sewers and add more in the first part.
We will of course continue to listen to your feedback and possibly add more languages in the future, but for now we are working on the next project, about which we will have more information very soon!
Thank you and we hope you enjoy playing Psych!
FINAL CHAPTER OUT NOW!
Chapter 5
The time has finally come. We are releasing the final chapter of Psych, which will not only reveal the secrets behind Alex and Sam's story, but will also have a few surprises in store for you. We have learned from past chapters and wanted to give you much more impact than game time, so the fifth chapter, as previously announced, is not too long at about half an hour. Nevertheless, we have brought a lot of other improvements with this update, not only visual ones like even higher resolution textures or new details in the world of Psych, but also translations! You can currently play Psych in the following languages:
English
German
Chinese
Czech
For the other languages, the translations are already done, but still need to be added, which will happen very very soon. The following languages are affected:
Turkish
Russian
Spanish
Although we have taken the greatest care, we would like to ask you for your feedback! In order to find possibly overlooked bugs or to make further improvements in general. We expect at least one more update for Psych, which should improve the game experience and introduce the languages mentioned above.
Now let's move on to the content:
The biggest question that many people have already asked themselves is what can come next. Many thought at the end of the fourth chapter that this was already the end, but you will certainly be very surprised when you jump into the last chapter to find out the truth. We won't spoil anything here, but we can already tell you the following: There will be new locations, new characters and completely new twists in the story.
We are already incredibly excited about your opinions and feedback on this update! We can hardly believe that we have finally managed to create an approximately three-hour psychological horror thriller together with you, the community. We are very proud of our work together and have learned an immense amount in the development of Psych. This will be a great help to us in our future projects.
Last but not least, we would like to thank you again for accompanying us on this journey and for being a part of the community. Psych wouldn't be Psych without you, and the feedback you always give us is really worth its weight in gold.
Please don't forget to rate Psych on Steam, it helps us as developers enormously!
Until then, have fun and see you soon! Dan and Andreas
Addendum:
The release would have actually been yesterday, October 21, 2022, but since there was a technical error and Psych disappeared from the Steam Store, the release has been postponed to today, October 22, 2022 - which means Psych is now fully available!

Chapter 5 of Psych will not be as long as Chapter 3 or 4 in terms of game length, but it will contain a big bang that we are quite sure will shock you. We have prepared an ending that no one has expected yet. In exchange for the fifth chapter not being so long, we will make improvements and add new features to the previous content. Chapter 4 Announcement
Hello everyone!
Today we have a lot of information about the development of the fourth chapter of Psych and some sneak peeks.
First of all, we would like to sincerely apologize for not being able to keep the announced release date. Many of you don't know that much about us (MediaTale), the team behind Psych. Only one person is actively working with the game engine Unity, which is used to develop Psych. In the past few weeks, new development tools have been tried out, which should make development more efficient and fun in the long run. However, such internal restructuring takes some time, but it will definitely be worth it in the future. Nevertheless, we are working day by day and listening to every single feedback in order to provide you with the best possible game experience.
We had planned to be ready with the fourth chapter by the end of April at the latest, but now we have to postpone it until July at the latest in order to be able to deliver all of our planned content. Many of you have already shown great understanding and we hope that you can be patient a little longer this time too. We thank you very much in advance!
Now we come to the fourth chapter of Psych:
*Warning, this section might contain some spoilers for people who haven't played the third chapter yet*
When Alex found an exit to the underground in the sewers, he barely avoided the train. He lost consciousness. However, the strong urge to find his sister Sam made him wake up quickly. Alex now finds himself in a completely new environment where he is in for some very nasty surprises.
Some things in the fourth chapter make Alex realize something. Something that he himself does not want to believe. He does everything he can to find Sam. Alex is back in his flat when the doorbell suddenly starts ringing in the middle of the night. He hears a giggle. A strange but nevertheless very familiar giggle. Is it... Sam?
For the fourth chapter we have implemented some features that we hope you will enjoy. One of them, for example, you can see here:
In addition to important story sections, there will also be more horror, a familiar face returns that you won't want to look into on purpose.
I hope you're as excited as we are about the upcoming releases of Chapters 4 and 5! We also have a little announcement for you at the end of this release: Once all the chapters of Psych have been released and Sam has been found, there won't be a moment for you to catch your breath. Be prepared for something big in our journey together...
Until then, thank you, enjoy playing and feel free to keep sending us feedback on the existing chapters! If you haven't rated Psych on Steam yet, we would really appreciate a positive review, it really helps us out!
Dan and Andreas
