We were set to release but my actual job has demanded my time the next 4 days.
HOWEVER, testing is going very well, it seems like everything is working as we intended (at least when I play) so it looks like we will release as soon as I get this job complete and we do 1 final full game test. (So far only testing the changes or issues as we fix/add them).
OK, so we have said this about 2 weeks ago then during testing we discovered a serious bug that needed to be fixed, and in so doing we decided to add hands in place of controllers. They do look nice, could use some more tweaking but all in all will work for now.
We have made a few changes to game play and locations of or access to things/levels to make it a little more interesting for those that have already played.
Tonight and tomorrow we will be play testing and possibly even Wednesday, HOWEVER if all goes well, we will release, it is ready (except the missing tutorials for the outdoor scene but we can add those later) from a dev point of view, but not until people play and report issues can we fix everything.

HANDS are coming!
Yes, we are adding hands in place of the controllers.
We are almost finished with setting them up to work with the items/objects in he game world then we just need to play test and release!
We thought this would be an addition worth waiting for.
FULL GAME PUBLISHED
Yes, you heard me correctly. The full game is now up and playable.
We are still tweaking and fixing some things but it is a full version of the game!
There are many spots you can use the TP movement but be warned YOU WILL HAVE TO 'WALK' IN THIS GAME We did try to make it minimal but its too easy to skip over puzzles and items if you fly through a level using TP everywhere. Slow down and enjoy the barren creepy halls and rooms!
<*> Added snake idle animations
<*> Added matches to the game to relight the torch if you put it out (and there is no lit brazier around). Supplies are limited, be sure to keep those braziers lit!)
<*> Torch now can run out of fuel (use the left trigger to turn it off or to use a match to turn it on again)
<*> Added 2 oil 'jars' that refuel the torch 100%, save and use them wisely! (grab nd then use them directly on the tip of the torch)
<*> Added refuel percentages to the braziers (Each brazier gives the torch a small bit of fuel but only once)
<*> The mummy now appears to steal your treasure! (HINT: after you take the coins, leave the room and return...what has changed...)
Close!
Long couple of nights and we are just about ready.
We just need to turn the player to the proper direction when scene changing (right now you always seem to face a wall).
No, it is not as easy to do as it sounds when using custom scripts in VR but we should have this resolved shortly for a full playable update today.
Getting close!
OK, so we didn't post a new update tonight but we are hoping to have the entire playable game uploaded tomorrow night for review by you folks for a few days before we release!
THIS IS THE NEW STUFF FOR THE NEXT UPDATE--not in the current posted version:
<*> Added the mummy to the maze
<*> Changed the torch look
<*> Torch now can run out of fuel
<*> Added refuel percentages to the braziers (Each brazier gives the torch a small bit of fuel but only once)
<*> Added matches to the game to relight the torch if you put it out (and there is no lit brazier around)
<*> Changed the Land of the Dead (to be more of a puzzle than before--only the beta testers have seen the old one)
No Joy so far!
We were hoping but we spent the last 2 days trying to get the player to load from save properly.
We will work on this and if we get this resolved we might still be able t orelease, this is the last big hurdle, but realistcally we might be next week.
Sorry.....
I will release level 3 to the early release version later tonight regardless of the save/load system working.
The save load is now working!!
However it is too late in the day to do a full game test and get the release to Steam for approval so we will fine tune over the weekend and release next week!
Tomorrow...or not...?
Well, we got the UI set up to a satisfactory point.
We have the animations where we want them, the mummy and birdgod working.
What we don't have is a proper load yet.
We can save the player/items just fine, it loads all the items but it skews the player and is unplayable after a load.
We don't feel we can release it without a proper load of course and we will work on it all day!
Hoping we cn figure this out by tomorrow to release, but if not, that's the way things go right?
Will keep everyone posted!
2 weeks??
THIS RELEASE ESTIMATE IS NOT A PROMISE!!!
We are aiming to release in the next 2 weeks. Working hard to fix any obvious issues by then. In preparation for this we have now raised it to full price.
If we are not ready we will at least open the rest of the game so you will have the entire game to play while we finialize any remaining issues.
The only thing we are not certain will be complete will be the tutorial level on our game mechanics/controls setup. However we will finish and patch when it is, but we will certainly put up a quick video of how to play though!
Working on:
1) Save/load Currently it does work however the torch is not lit when you reload and it will be totally dark so you can't see to even relight it!
2) BirdGod Now works and flies away if conditions are met however it takes about 3 seconds to do this, we are trying to reduce the time. Also the animation/working of the actual use of the birdgod does not work yet (can't give away the puzzle!)
3) Very minor UI tweaking...Text boxes are small but we want you to get close to objects to examine them..this IS an adventure game after all!
4) Tweak the start game and end game jeep interactions
5) Testing, Testing, Testing! We know there will be problems on release, just let us know and we can fix them! (Or convince you this is a feature instead! hahaha)
