We know there are still a few issues and we are working on them.
Mainly the Jeep from the outside area to the pyramid interaction, select NEW GAME please...
The BirdGod does not fly correctly
The load game does not work
Now what DOES work?
1) Torch fuel system, you WILL run out, be sure to light braziers and turn the torch off to conserve fuel (Left Trigger). you need a lit brazier to relight the torch!
Each brazier will replenish a small amount of fuel only once.
2) The birdgod now looks like a real bird statue and will fly (eventually)
3) The mummy now appears to steal your treasure! (HINT: after you take the coins, leave the room and return...what has changed...)
Currently levels 3 and Maze are still blocked, once a little closer to release we will open them up (we want the save/load to work properly before opening those levels).
Progress!!
OK..
We have set up our autosaves, everytime you change levels it autosaves, but there is only 1 save slot for now!
We added more 'mummy mug' spots and a few 'chase the mummy' spots in the maze.
We also changed out the 'birdgod' with an actual bird (Falcon statue like)! (currently in the posted version it is just a beetle scarab)
You can now turn the torch off, since it uses fuel but you need a lit brazier to relight it!! Also each brazier will only once give a little fuel back. The flames will reduce in size, light will dim and the smoke will 'flash' a different color at 75%, 50%, 25% and 5% to warn you of the end of your light (and game...?)
Anyway, we are hoping you will enjoy it once we release it!
Getting there!
Ok, so we have been talking about what constitutes the release candidate for the game.
We have a few more things to do but feel it might be ready for release soon.
This project was a tough one, we converted a game from regular to VR and that had a host of issues related to controls etc and a serious learning curve.
We will finish this game out but our next one is ground up for VR and shoujld look better and go smoother.
Anyway, stay tuned, we are close!
New and Improved!
Ok, so the current release version isn;t but our test version is!
We now have a working creepy scary mummy to steal your loot and place it deep within the maze!
We also have a fuel system for the torch, left trigger turns it off but you can only light it from an already lit brazier, and refuel it from the giant ones spaced out through the rooms.
Still working on save/load but not far from a releasable version!
Stay tuned!!
A little bit personal...
Ok, so as I mentioned in a previous post, I was selling my house.
Well it sold and I spent the last 4 days moving.
I finally internet connected but am still sertting up the PC room, then the VR rigs..
We are still workingon the game and will have an update soon!
We do have a working end game, however the UI pops up to verify you want to end but it shows up on the other side of the jeep! So at the moment if I post this update you have to walk around to be able to press it.
Anyway. Just wanted to let you know we are making progress and I didn't disappear!
We have End Game
We now have a basic end game, just click on the jeep after you leave the pyramid to end the game and give a score!
OK, it is not posted yet, we are testing it but it is in our private test builds and we hope to release it this coming week with a save/load system as well!
In the Works
I have my partner (the coder Alverik) hard at work.
He tells me soon we should have an end game! You can finally store your treasure and get a score!
We are also working on some form of hands instead of controller images but that is slow going.
Hoping for an update to the closed Beta portion testing this weekend.
Sorry folks but you will have to wait until release to get the whole game!

Exciting week!
We released the final 2 levels to our testers!
Yes, there are still issues but the logic is fully functioning and needs tested by other than myself. There is still more to go but we are moving along at a slow but steady pace.
We still need to work on the UI and add some TP strips to the maze (none right now).
Verify all the steps are traversable (previously you would get stuck on some)
We are adding a teleport safety feature for when your player falls through the world you will be sent to a spot close to where you fell. We had to do this since it seems once you walk outside of your play area you can fall through the world, now oyu will 'reset'). A little clunky but will prevent you from the need to start all over until we can find a fix for this issue (usually only an issue when in the narrow passages, not the rooms so much)
Still need to add the mummy mug and chase spots.
Still need an end game other than options->quit
Still need to figure out what we are doing with the UI once and for all! (and adjust it on the 2 levels-we never even checked it yet)
Still need to finish options (graphics/walk speed etc)
Still need to complete the tutorial scene
Level 3 just needs UI..
As mentioned Level 3 is now almost complete.
Just needs fully tested and the UI adjusted for proper play and then it is on to the maze!
Things are going a bit slowly, real life again.
Need to move for my day job so have the issues of selling and buying a house then moving so we will do our best to get this thing finished asap for those of you that have enjoyed playing it and want the full experience.
(After we release it we will still continue to improve it and add more items to examine and maybe some more complex puzzles. This was a text based game converted so the puzzles are not really difficult)
We recently had someone complain about the moving where the headset is looking, which we think is more realistic, I always tend to watch where I am walking in real life, do you?
So We are looking into adding an option to switch between headlook direction walking and trackpad direction walking.
We are also slowing down the default walk speed with an adjuster to speed up if you so choose. (We NEED walking in this game, most distances between room is TP but in a room we want you to explore, either use trackpad to walk or physically move around your play area).
